Please do not use this north-east wedding photographer/videographer. He did not deliver on the day. He has not delivered since and you will be 'fobber-off' at every opportunity.
He disappeared from our wedding straight after the service and did not appear again until the evening.
He failed to video the following:
99% of Maid of Honour speech was not recorded
No cutting of the cake
No receiving line
No entrance of bride and groom to marquee
No shots of guests in walled garden or marquee
Plus he had shots of people not even in our wedding party!
He should not be charging for this service and is at the bottom end of amateur.
His videoing was as follows:
Numerous wonky camera angles
Poor/amateur framing of subject
Shots out of focus
Electrical crackles on camera audio
His mobile phone receiving signal in church causing audio interference
No music on edit
Amateur editing
As well as this... he just doesn't care.
We will be taking legal action against him and would advise other couples not to have to go through this experience. He should not be in business producing videography.
Fading to black in the middle of two speeches
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have a home address which seems to link to all his business its in fencehouses.. I called his home number about a month ago prending to be interested in him filming my wedding and I spoke to a man think maybe his dad and he said he was still working as photographer and studio still running! Im going to local press too and name and shame him he's not going to get way with it!
I am currently going through threatening text messages and requests for monies. I cancelled my photgraphy with him due to comments like these and he says its within 60 days like it says in his studio which doesnt exist. I have called sunderland echo who are willing to print our story. There are no records of his business though he is listed as a sole trader with the hmrc. I have made loads of aveues into this and if anyone can provide me with any evidence of his wrong doing to them it would help my case and probably yours if all work together. Also note he has moved out of his home address it seems as this is up for sale and the living room is empty.
He Just seems to have excuses for everything! He's a con Man took him to court twice and he never showed up! He spolit my wedding day and I won't rest till I get whats mine!
Yeah I have checked that as well and couldn't find anything. I have also rang Easington council who have no record of him running a business. He seems to be using only free advert boards and photography directories some of which list his wife as the owner. He has 115 ads on gumtree and numerous ads in directories. She runs an ad for matial arts with the same number and email address. I'm looking into the fact that I signed a booking form for a previous company that no longer exists, so surely my contract is with them and now invalid...? I spent the whole day digging around for more info yesterday - I even spoke with the people that run the business centre he runs from - on his new website it says suite 1 and suite 2 on his limo one, but he only operates from suite 2. His disco one also lists the old address Grieves Buildings. He has wrote to me and stated that he is reviewing his internet prescence and the malicious rumors are down to a marriage break up! NO - he his just trying to (and not very well) cover his tracks!
Just to let people know that if Clayton Bennett states he's bankrupt this is a complete lie as I've checked all records through the insolvency section! Just another one of his lies!
I am experiencing the same sort of trouble with this man! We paid him last year for our wedding in May this year - thankfully (if you could say so..) we have found out before the wedding, although as we have now paid consumer direct say that until he breaches the contract there is nothing we can do and then we will have to take it to court. My wedding insurance has requested all the evidence of the complaints and emails I have had from the hosting site of his last website - wephotographyourwedding.com. They said that his domain name expired in Feb and his subscription to them in Jan both of this year. After trying to contact him (before I knew the extent of the horrendous situation) he emailed me back to say he will still attend our wedding and will write to me to answer my questions about all this and to provide me with his home address. I thought it was ironic that even though I told him that I knew his website was no more - he still had the nerve to put it at the bottom of his email! The magazine I saw the advert in also emailed me back to say they no longer deal with him and have also been trying to contact him for many months. Should I find out anymore info - I will keep you posted.
I came across /removed/ too and fenceshouse address is the same one I found! He seems to be moving from one business to another! I've rang trade and standards who are looking into this! I'll keep you posted!
have been looking for another wedding photgrapher online n have just come cross another website that clayton bennett has set up, its called perfectimages. it has the same contact no as the old site and pictures of his wife, they also offer limo hire. hes getting no where near my wedding day now, just trying to find out what i can before i try and contact/approach him. the address i have found is cedar terrace in fencehouses, is that the same 1 u have found?

I woundnt let him anywhere near your wedding if i was you.. hes all nice to your face but once paid and wedding over he doesnt have any futher contact with you.. apart from sending txt messages stating that hes a expert in contracts and i cant win after i took him to court!
millydee he has another website called topdisco.moonfruit.com where he advertises discos and his wife as a singer. there is also a contact no on there, failing that i think i have managed 2 find out his home address if thats any good 4 u
He photographed my wedding 2 and a half years ago and still havent recieved all my photos and disc after taking in to court and won, bailiffs unable to trace him. He is a nasty man and no-one should deal with him! if anyone finds out further details websites adresses etc please post and ill do the same.
Hi I'm new to this but thought I'd let u no he has a shop at Herrington. It's called we photograph your wedding. I havnt seen the shop open 4 a few weeks n starting 2 get quite concerned as I have booked him 4 my wedding in October, already paid £170 n now I've come across a lot of negative comments about him
Apparently he's in Easington. If you find out the name of his new business then please post it here. he owes us £700 in compensation via a court case we won for our wedding. he has claimed he is bankrupt but is still in business under a new name. If you discover more please let me know via this posting.
Daughters wedding last November he turned up for the wedding and we have been sent a disc with the photos on but no alabum and no dvd . We are unable to contact this person and are very disappointed .Anyone no where he is now .

clayton bennett has just been fined off the council for his noisey dogs he has been fined £500 and £800 court cost and he has to pay £52 per day if they keep barking. He did not turn up for court because he always thinks he can win he is a big fat con man and i feel sorry for his victims they are not custermers they are people he prays on and gets away with it. He has moved his buisness to easington now so be very carefull anybody who is getting married KEEP AWAY FROM CLAYTON BENNETT HE THINKS HE CAN TAKE PHOTS AND VIDIOES BUT HE CAN NOT YOU HAVE BEEN WORNED.
This guy is an absolute joke. Very unprofessional attittude shocking video production and editing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Clayton Bennett is a conman, always has been and always will be. If you look closer into his photgraphy business and on utube you will find his 'lovely' cabaret singer also advertises herself as a glamour model. He has previoously appeared on watchdog when he set up a business spraying cars. Priot to that he set up as a insurance company, taking peoples money but not providing them with insurance. He is NOT to be trusted, do not give him your money.
