Chrysler - customer service department

On Thursday January 16 th 2020, I dropped my 2018 Jeep Rubicon off at Provincial Chrysler and put my keys in the dropbox for a 7 AM appointment the following day. The wiring on the front right blinker needed to be repaired. At noon on the 17th I called Provincial Chrysler and asked how the repairs were coming. I was informed they had just started looking at my jeep. At 2 PM I received a phone call from the service desk informing me that because these were not the original lights and they had to sodder the wires that were corroded, there would be a charge of $119. I just purchased this jeep six months ago through the Motor City dealership . I was unaware the lights were not the originals, and when I dropped the keys off I checked the box on the envelope that stated they would call me before any work was done if there was going to be a charge. Because the jeep is only a year and a half old I totally thought this would be under warranty. They proceeded to fix the jeep without my consent and then insisted I pay the bill. I was informed that I would not be able to take my Jeep off their property unless I paid the bill. I was very upset at this unexpected expense and explained how I felt to the service person. She spoke to her service manager whose name was Joe who reduced the labour cost reducing the bill to $75. I still think this was not the proper way to go about fixing this. I felt I should've been informed before any work was done that I was going to be charged for, as I had checked off the box that nothing was to be done if there was going to be a cost. I'm very disturbed by this incident and would very much like the matter looked into.
Today is February 14th and the RIGHT blinker is out AGAIN! If the service people at Provincial Chrysler had fixed this problem properly I can see no reason why this would happen again. I would like this problem to be taken care of once and for all and not have to go through all the hassle I previously went through with this dealership. I feel there should be no cost with fixing this blinker problem as I've already paid for it to be fixed!

Please advise as to the steps I should be taking. Looking forward to your prompt reply.

Sincerely,

Jen Gallant
