I got a house built by Christopher Alan Homes and it's pretty good. They did a good job with the construction and everything looks nice. The only thing is that they took a little longer than expected to finish it. But overall, I'm happy with my new home.

My experience with Christopher *** Homes was terrible. I bought a house and did my first walkthrough. The guy in charge promised to fix everything in one day, but it's been three months since I moved in and I had to turn in my list to the warranty department. They took forever to follow up and assumed everything was fixed. I had to reach out again to get anything done. For example, the stucco needed fixing and it took five visits from the stucco guy to fix it all. Then it took four visits from the painters to finish the job. It took two months to finish the exterior and I'm still waiting for the interior to be fixed. It's been four mortgage payments and it's the worst experience I've ever had with a builder.

We got a CA home last summer, but we moved in around Christmas. The house is okay, but when they were building it, we told them that we were worried about the yard. They didn't grade the yard before they put the sod down, so some parts were overlapping and some parts had no sod at all. They said it would "grow in." But when we closed on the house, they admitted that the yard wasn't "up to their standards," so they said they would come back in 6 months to check on it. The problem is that the yard is so dangerous that you can't even walk on it! It's so uneven that each step is scary because you can't see how bad it is until you step! It's an accident waiting to happen. I'm annoyed that we have to deal with it for 3 more months and hope that it gets better. And I wouldn't even think about asking our terrible sales guy, Carlos. He was useless during the whole home buying process.

I told CA warranty group 'bout my yard, it had lotsa sink holes over 1ft deep. They just came out and shoveled sand from an adjacent lot and packed it in. These holes opened up again and they just come out to fill holes. My yard has gaps where the sod wasn't laid properly. The sand where they burred the trash from the build settled, so it warrants a regrade and re sod. I tried to use my devices to translate, but they laughed. Door jambs broke, poorest grade tile as it just chips at will, the granite countertop had a fill hole that was just filled .. not sanded or buffed out. There was NO grout in the bathroom shower, I had to purchase a receptacle cover that they couldn't be bothered with fixing. Painting that to say subpar would be a overstatement. I still have globs of paint on my tiles and was told "well, just get down and scrape with a putty knife". This is a NEW house purchased Dec 1 2021. I shouldn't have near as many issues with a new built house.
