We purchased a kitten from Center Hill Ragdolls in August 2020. As a support cat for our two children who have Autism. Center Hill Ragdolls has a year health warranted. In May 2021 the kitten was diagnosed with a fatal illness. This is the fourth kitten of Center Hill Ragdolls that has been diagnosed with a fatal illness. They continue to breed cats with F.I.P which is fatal in cats. No treatment available in the United States. After speaking with the Cattery to either return our money $1350 or replace the kitten with another healthy kitten from different parents she refused. This has been a very stressful and heartbreaking situation. The kitten we purchased has been a loved and adored member of our family, the short time we have had it. We don't want to see this happen to any other family. We don't want to have this happen to anymore cats, F.I.P is a painful slow death. Center Hill Ragdolls should not be breeding cats, they are only in it for the money. There's no way to hold her accountable because she deletes negative google reviews. Also blocks people from social media. Company's information is below:

Desired outcome: Refund
As discussed with you in multiple conversations, our hearts break for this baby (and your family) if he indeed has the random mutation for FIP as it's literally impossible to breed cats with Feline Infectious Peritonitis, or for kittens to be born with the viral-born mutation. Furthermore, no caring, reputable breeder would knowingly raise and sell sick cats. The insinuation that this is the case is misguided and cruel. Despite our efforts/attempts to gain more information about his issues, assist with veterinary care/treatment, or bring him back into our care in order to evaluate him and pursue treatment ourselves, those efforts were refused. Instead, we were met at every turn with slanderous speech and verbal abuse. Your priority is having your money returned and turning your back on your kitten - our contract specifically states that viruses are not covered because cats can pick them up anywhere that they visit or spend time once they leave our care. However, despite our attempts to make every good-faith effort to bring him back into our care, your continued actions prove to us that you're willing to allow him to get sicker - and possibly die - simply because you can't get a full refund or have him replaced. Who's really in it for the money? So devastating for our family. And speaking of families... to date, we've had ZERO families lose a kitten to FIP, or any other fatal illness. It's amazing the difference it makes when breeder and family have an open, honest, compassionate, health-focused, proactive relationship. We're now left wondering how this experience could be different, especially for this baby, if you had chosen that approach with us. It's always our choice to be an ally, but when met with impossible demands, threats, and disingenuous efforts to reach a good outcome, this is where we are left - with no good outcome.
