I registered for the Medical Office Administration program back in September and due to medical reason i had to withdraw from the class. I completed 10% of my course and was provided a quote of 4400 that I would have to pay back, which ok fine. November 28th I received a final notice that I owe 9744.60 and that my account is being sent to collections. How can it be a final notice when I have never received an invoice or a first notice. Now because of this my credit score that I have worked hard for is dropping, not very happy. $17,000 is the course cost, I completed 10% which I owe them 25% of tuition which would be 4,250 and I am most definitely ok to pay that. Where do they get 9744.60 is beyond me. I've spent the last 2 days emailing a few people and only 1 gets back to me with nothing but avoiding the issue I am having by pretty much telling me the 4400 was an estimate and that I can make payment arrangement. I feel that they are trying to bait me into saying something so that they can use it against me. I am not stupid by any means and refuse to even respond but at the same time I don't need my credit score to drop much more and I don't need this to go into collections. I don't know what to do. I am very frustrated and stressed out. I will take further action if i need to. I know i am not the only one going through something like this and you should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage of people like this.

I am registered at the CDI Mississauga campus Accounting and Payroll Practitioner course. I was to begin the third course for my payroll practitioner accreditation on Monday, November 14, 2022 and our class is still waiting for the college to fulfill it's obligation to us. I am told the issue is the college has not kept it's membership with NPI in good standing and has neglected to pay it's membership fees. When trying to get some answers, myself and my fellow classmates have received absolutely zero response from all inquiries we have made. I find this extremely unprofessional and would really appreciate some sort of response from the college. If they are unable to supply the courses that I am registered and have paid for why are they offering it and accepting payments.

In June 2021, I enrolled with CDI College to complete the veterinary technician program (online).

In August 2021, I withdrew from the program due to a multitude of things: no support from instructors or other CDI employees, instructor quit suddenly, BROKEN courses, BROKEN textbook links.

CDI College asked me to pay $7000 for the courses in which I have completed within the program. As for the broken links and broken courses, I’ve sent many emails to instructors/employees and NOTHING was done to fix the issues I was having.

HOWEVER, this is A BREACH in contract. I should NOT have to pay $7000 for broken courses. I have made hundreds of attempts to reach CDI via email/phone and the situation still hasn’t been resolved after a year. AND they are very well aware of the problem.

Your job as a college is to SET ME UP FOR SUCCESS. NOT SET ME BACK FURTHER IN LIFE.

I will continue trying to reach CDI. If I cannot get a resolution, the law system will be getting involved.

Hi , I applied for Immigration assistance, and they accept me I applied for my osap and my osap wasn`t enough, and they said my osap doesn't cover only 2 terms and I have to par 300 for each term, at the first of term they dont help me for my osap processing and they charge me . and said i cant cancel my osap. i try to change my teacher because she was rude, and she wasn't help full at all and always left the class and i just pass my terms, why have to so much money for I didn`t get money from osap and i have to pay for [censored]y private school i try to change my school but they sai please stay you cant and... they just give money and don`t help me at all

I applied for a CDI college online program and I couldn't figure out how to get started on it, I wanted to come into one of the local branches for assistance and because of Covid I was told I couldn't. They have been calling me from different departments telling me different things, I can't get the help I need and wasn't able to get the program started, I am still waiting to have this resolved but nobody knows what is going on from one person to the next.

Can someone help me navigate this? I can't afford to give them over $4000 because I couldn't get in person help, I am beyond frustrated. I want to do it online but couldn't figure it out so I asked if I could just do it in person and was told I could but they still want over $4000. Please help me. All I want is my course.

I'm a graduate of May 2014 from the MOA Course. I completed all my studies and graduated and returned my books at the end of my course. But never did receive my diploma. After a few months of fighting for it, I gave up, which now I regret. Here I am years later trying to get my diploma from them. They now turn around, saying I owe for the books. Umm, ok, since when? As far as I know I owe the government which I have under control, I've been paying on my student loan for some time now and still on going with the payments. Scam maybe? And when I contacted CDI They have me on file YES I Did graduate, YES I Do have my diploma and YES I Did complete all my courses. Then I requested to see my invoice. Now the waiting game. ALL I want is my diploma.

Oh, and not to mention Kim from CDI emailed my Boss stating I DID Graduate with a diploma. OK, So why don't I have it then?

I enrolled in CDI college august 31 and right from that start it was hard. No one knew what was going on. Did all my courses i fast forward to practicum and once again no one knew when I was starting or anything I finished my practicum and received numerous email about withdrawing from the course or having to retake my course. I finished my practicum on July 6th and I still haven’t received my diploma it’s October 9th. Where is my diploma? Made a huge amount of money and the college doesn’t care about the students as long as they get their money. No one should use this college

October 3/2022. I got my grade for ssw1120 I got an 86.8% on my final exam and my instructor Mackenzie Broomfield. My score was 26/30. Isn’t that supposed to be a passing grade? I work hard and pay a lot of money for this course. She is not a good teacher and she doesn’t explain the course very good. If you have questions her answer is” read the instructions and read the book”. I’m sorry but I have a learning disability. She failed me for my exam that is not right and she should be talked too about how to grade exams . I’m super frustrated and something needs to be done about her. Where do I start... I'm an online student and prior to starting the course, I told CDI my main concern for not starting was that I couldn't commit to the practicums (I had a small baby in a new country with no family or friends) CDI reassured me multiple times ..in email and over the phone that practicum is not split up and infant the last 8 weeks of the course. I confirmed this many times before I signed up. My mother booked a flight for those dates and was coming to Canada to look afyer our baby while I went to practicum Fast forward...the day CDI receive my first payment (a lot of money too!) I'm told practicum is not the last 8 weeks and in fact split up throughout the year. I was devastated. CDI denied ever telling me this even though I have emails. My heart is broken over them. The communication with student services and finance is diabolical. The instructors and teaching assistants are lovely and have great communication skills.

I'm waiting on payment from CDI since Aug 15th. Nothing yet. I've sent multiple emails and no reply.

Please spend your money elsewhere and avoid this college. I do not recommend at all. CDI have caused me so much stress and heartache I can't wait to be done with the course.

I hope that this email finally results in a conclusion of a matter that I have been dealing with for weeks. I contacted CDI to perhaps register for your graphic design course. She called me and we chatted and I said I would think on it and get back to her. Then came the DAILY phone calls. I emailed her and requested not to call me daily for a week! I was finally so fed up that I then told her that I was no longer interested. She then proceeds to ask why- odd, and honestly, none of her business. I said I was no longer interested in a 12 month diploma and that I was going to get a certificate at SAIT. That should have been the end of the correspondence, but then proceeds to email me AGAIN and proceeded to question me YET AGAIN about why I was choosing SAIT over CDI. I am so aghast at this point that I comment on the absolute unprofessionalism and to never contact me again- why is someone questioning my decision and continuing to ask me questions? I am not an 18 year old prospective student, I am a grown woman and I shouldn't have to receive harassing emails. I received another phone call today and yet another email. If this is not absolutely resolved today, I will continue to forward this message to escalated contacts until this is concluded.

I can't believe this "school" exists. It takes advantage of students so quickly and without hesitation, throwing them into courses with no proper set up and structure, no way to contact the necessary people to get help, unprofessional staff who could use some extra education themselves in communication, and no consideration for any special needs or requests.

I am a recent grad, after almost 2 years of dealing with their [censored], and still when I need anything, like my tax forms, I can't get anyone to help me. I am sent from one person to another, with no follow up or resolution,

I have had so much attitude from the teachers (when they actually respond to emails), I had to wait MONTHS to get marks-I had no idea if I was taking in the material properly or not! I felt so lost! Then I would try to email, asking why we are expected to do our jobs as students yet the teachers can't grade our homework and courses on time, and the email was forwarded to my instructor who sent me a snarky email back. They also included in the email how they have a heavy workload. So do I, yet my marks aren't adjusted accordingly, nor is it easy to get extra time to finish assignments unless you do a whole form with a really good excuse.

On top of it all, floundering and working on my own with no feedback or encouragement, and now I have to pay back $50,000 in student loans as I still scrub toilets.

Thanks for NOTHING CDI. Do NOT utilize their [censored]ty business- that's all they are, existing to profit off of desperate people. Practically a loan shark.

Hello, I'm providing you with a detailed after review because they definitely act differently with you once you are finished.

The Guidance counselors only want you to pay money and they will say practically anything.

I've finished all my work with above 90% everywhere and even had to redo a part because the teacher didn't put in the grades? I don't even know if I graduated yet and I dont have my diploma yet because no one answers me on the CDI side. I've been trying to graduate for an extra year because they keep losing my work and overall do not know what is going on. No work is being provided to me or any communication for that matter.

As an additional problem, we had maybe 4 different teachers for the same class in the span of 1 year where all the work was mishandled and all of the teachers were confused and unable to figure their own stuff out. I have gotten frustrated multiple times with them as they did not provide the correct information nor the correct work at times. Sometimes I had to wait up to a week to receive work which only made me lose time.

Another fun thing they do is, when you are still waiting for your work, they will say you have been inactive and send you an email saying that you have not been active in school and they will close your file without any notice. I have this email saved.

I've sent multiple emails to the receptionist and other departments to not have a response. the only person who responds is Caroline Parent, who will simply send you to another person for them to not answer you.

I have copies of all emails and all communications with them as well as my grades either way if theres anything trying to contest it.

I have recorded conversations with staff members as well in case they try to cause some trouble while I try and receive my diploma.

Again, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I got an admission in 2021 in cdi college then I processed my visa application and I got Refusal on 20th January 2022. I applied for Refund and Summited all related documents like Fee receipt, Refusal Letter,Fee Refund Request Letter,Account Details. Then I asked College about my Refund Status after a long time (May 2022) They Said to re Send these all Documents. I have sent the documents again within 1-2 days they said your refund is under progress. now its September 2022 about (8 months) I haven't Received fee refund.

2 years ago I have ONLY registered for an Immigration counsellor course; they could not provide an articulate instructor who can follow the curriculum in place. No one knows what to say and where you could start, asking me to wait for them to hire another instructor, scandal every single day in the WhatsUp chat. I decide I can wait and they asked for money, I had never taken a class, send them an email and drop. 2 half years later, asking me to pay for a course, they never had an instructor for. Every time someone knew to get hired, scammers tried their luck to steal you. These people need to be stopped for definite before the damage your credit

I took the paralegal program in March of 2021 and I graduated in June of 2022. In the course description, it states that paralegals would make close to $28/hr. I’ve tried to get a job as a paralegal and I’m only able to be a legal assistant which they make only $15/hr. I am unable to survive on that amount alone. I’ve applied to paralegal positions and they’ve all wanted 3-5 years experience. No where did it state or explain that I wouldn’t be able to be a paralegal right away. I paid $27,000 for a course that I can’t even do right away because I’m stuck being a legal assistant. If I wanted to be a legal assistant, I would have taken the course for a legal assistant.

They did not teach me anything and ignored the fact when i told them i have a learning disability they did not give me my disbursement for the first two months and did not send in my conformation of enrollment until 2 months after i was already in studies they ignored my request for time on projects and when i sent them a letter saying i want to quit school and want a refund because nobody is helping me in my studies then they waited until todays date to say i have quit and saying i owe them all the money still..i want everyone to know that cdi is not a place to go if u want to learn anything

I took Medical office assistant course in 2020 in Winnipeg branch of CDI college.

The teacher was talking to students disrespectfully and was making unethical comments. She was talking about student's skin color in a negative way which is completely unacceptable and racist! It was shocking to hear that. After some students from my group complained to Administration, nothing really changed. Her behavior did not change. It seems that administration does not really care about students rights.

I recommend to stay away from this institution especially if you are racial minority!

I have started my course and still haven't received my voucher they sayed i would be be provided by cdi. I'm frustrated I've missed 9 days of school now cause it won't let me and tge computer I try to log into goes to a black screen . I told him this before I started ... left without school and nowmy attendance is in jeopardy cause I can't connect on teams it kicks me off right away I'm all around frustrated with cdi at the moment for not standing up to there part of there agreement.

I would like to formally complain of my teachers professionalism. This teacher does not prioritize his job to educate. He prioritizes his business meetings, hockey games; how? He has missed a class because he “forgot.” He was doing his own personal agenda, adjusting the dates of the class for his convenience.

This has caused me a lot of stress because i work full time hours and some overtime. Changing the dates and times of class and even forgetting there is a class. In effect of me to lose focus and motivation to be in this program or be at CDI.

As well as his grading system is unreasonable.

I had recently emailed him a few days ago, why my grades are what it is now and his reply is (because you are not participating in class discussions), but in the program curriculum or grades category does not include “in class discussions” as part of grading criteria.

He lowers my grades on projects based on “in class discussions” which is unreasonable and does not align with grading category.

Please reach out to me on who im complaining about. And i do have emails for evidence

I was enrolled in a program of Cybersecurity Specialist ($27,887) for 74 weeks, after a month I withdrew my enrollment because of so much stress frustration. I received no support on all the issue I faced; I was told that I would have access to meetings with an instructor as well as access to the recorded live sessions from daytime classes but did not happen. The instructor is just there to get an attendance and I was put to a different room all by myself and no one to talk to or answer a question I have, instructor is always late even their job is to get an attendance. No instructor and received no support from your school. I had issue on myecampus website that is not working properly but no one could fix the issue, the first time I called the tech CDI tech support I was on hold for 45 minutes but no one answered or call me back. I even have our internet provider to come to our place twice to check it for me as your technician said that they can't fix it, but my internet provider said that the issue is not on my end. I bought a laptop on my own because you guys promised a laptop is included to my program. After few weeks my laptop broken so I have to send it back to manufacturer to get it fix and I called and emailed the school many times about the best buy laptop voucher so I can get a new laptop to use for my online school as I have no laptop to use. But they never answer my call or email anymore. So I decided to withdrew my enrollment as I can’t handle the stress anymore and I will learned nothing. But to my surprise I will be getting only $2628 for a refund which is not fair to me, as I'm only 1 month in the program and that 1 month is full of stress and frustration. It's not fair that I'll get charge of the service that didn't received. I paid $9600 for the first semester and they took $6971 for 4 weeks being into program that I learn nothing from it but stress.
