Carolina Ductmasters cleaned my chimley and did a awesome job! They was polite, knew what they was doing and cleaned up good when they was done. GREAT JOB! I gonna keep using this company for all my future cleanings.

I hit up Carolina Ductmasters, Inc to get a price on cleaning my chimney. They said it would be $275.00, which comes with a free safety check. I was like, cool, let's do it. They came over looking like they just rolled around in ash and didn't even bother to put on booties or anything. The dude checked out my chimney from the top and bottom and said it didn't need cleaning. He was only there for like 15 minutes and didn't even try to do the job they said they would. Then they tried to charge me $200.00 for the safety check that I never even asked for. I don't mind paying for a service call, but I'm not gonna cough up $200.00 for something I didn't even want.

We wasnt happy with our experience. We called Carolina Ductmasters and told them how tall our chimney was and they said they could do it. When the two guys came in a van, they didnt have a ladder that was tall enough. They looked at the roof from the ground and went under the house and said we needed a new cap. We already knew that. We even had a picture of the cap before they came. They wanted to be paid, so we paid. We called the office and they were supposed to call us back the next day, but they didnt. After waiting two days, my husband called and they said they did their job. Not sure where they did it, but it wasnt at our house. I dont recommend them for chimney work.

These guys at Carolina Ductmasters are a total joke! I hit up Marshal in Feb 2021 about a busted chimney vent at my crib in Maggie Valley, NC. I told him I needed it fixed by Mar 31 cuz I had renters coming in Apr 1. He said no sweat. His dudes came out a few weeks later and said the pipe was all jacked up and they didn't know if they could find a replacement. After 2 weeks of waiting, Marshal finally called to say they couldn't find the part. My renters ended up bailing cuz they couldn't use the fireplace, costing me a grand in lost cash. And get this, I accidentally paid them $175 instead of $125, thinking they did some extra work. I got a second opinion from another chimney company and they found the part in 10 minutes! I asked for a refund and Marshal only gave me $50 back. These clowns couldn't even get the model number off my Heatilator fireplace! Don't waste your time with these fools.

I hired this company to clean mold out of my ductwork or tell me if it needed to be replaced. The Greensboro location of this company came out to check the mold in our ductwork. They said they would clean it if they felt like it could be fixed, or suggest it be replaced. Crystal came out and started the work. She got to my son's room, where the mold had started to grow into the subfloor and called her boss to let him know she thought it needed to be replaced. Her boss, *** told her he thought it could be cleaned. He did not see the severity of it at the time of the phone call. She then cleaned the ductwork and sprayed a sanitizer in the line. The next day we started to work on the mold in the subfloor, which we took out the flex tubing that was cleaned by this company and it was covered in black mold. It looked like it had not been touched. I called first thing Monday morning. I spoke with ***, who was very defensive, stating I had called before 9 am on a Monday morning, and that he had not had time to review the paperwork or look at the photos taken. I explained to him he was made aware on Saturday by Crystal, that in her opinion the ductwork needed to be replaced. He said he was trying to save us money by cleaning it. Black mold is a huge health hazard, and my family, along with two small children live in this house and since they were the experts, we went along with the recommendation was of cleaning. I told him I would like my money back, the only offer that was made was he would deduct the amount paid for the cleaning off the cost of the replacement duct work. I asked him why I would use the same company again for something that wasn't done right to begin with. I would not be comfortable letting this company back into my house with the way they spoke to me on the phone and the subpar work that was done.
