Care Plus Health Plans Inc review: CarePlus health plan is the worst!!

If I could give them 5 NEGATIVE stars I would! I have been a CarePlus member for about 5 years. I have seen it go steadily downhill every year. Today we was my last straw. I had ordered my gift card for earning 50 points getting things like yearly physicals and such. I ordered a Texas Roadhouse $50 card sometime back in about April. I NEVER received it! I called in August and they claimed they would escalate it and research. They never called me back, so yesterday when I had to find a participating gastrointestinal doctor from my primary's office, I decided to ask again. I was told that I would be called back by a supervisor in 1 to 2 WEEKS! WEEKS... yes you read that right! Well... today, the next day, NOT 1-2 weeks I got a call (from a woman that was very hard to understand, as usual with them as they most likely outsource their customer service reps to other countries). She said that they would NOT be issuing another gift card because they CLAIM I was already sent one out. They may have sent it but I NEVER received it! I'm NOT trying to scam them out of something I earned, I just want to GET what I am due. This company is the absolute WORST! Not just MY opinion either. My doctors are all leaving! My former primary left in June, my current primary is here till November 30th. My pain management doctor is leaving December 31st. They can't KEEP doctors! You ask why? THEY told me that the reason is that CAREPLUS DOESN'T PAY! They either DENY payment or take and months to pay their bills! This is true because I was hospitalized in June & July for a broken rib/punctured lung & it's the end of October & I STILL haven't received the breakdown of charges statement. They lure you in with no or low co-pays, free rides, generics & such but every year we lose a little so the other plans are looking better, not just to me but thousands of others. I'm GONE!
