CareCredit advent health

As of 2/23/23 i called advent health who accepts care credit, i wanted to pay with care credit $240.00 one time payment, the clerk told me that i would have to pick a promotion of theirs and go on a payment plan, i want to pay the bill, no promotions no monthly payments, i asked for a supervisor was on the phone for half an hour, went to voice, telling these people, from billing, i just want to pay the bill in full. left them a message with this supervisor, never did get a response. so i called again, same thing over again for another 20 minutes, i had enough, if this wasn't resolved at the end of business, i am going to call my attorney, for this corp. is not accepting my payment, even though that take care credit. What a waste of my time and energy..

Thomas and Cheryl Bateman

Desired outcome: i would appreciate a response, that this bill has been paid....

CareCredit Incompetence!!

Hello All,

I use to think Care Credit/Synchrony Bank was one of the best credit card companies out there. I am writing to let everyone know how incompetent, unprofessional, rude, and outright disrespectful this company is. Since Aug of last year (2022). I have been put on hold for excessively extended periods of countless times w/o being checked on. I have been hung up on, given incorrect information, been harassed by collections and you name it, by Care Credit.

I have been going back and forth with Care Credit on the same issue that is still not resolved to this day (Feb 1, 2023). Aug of 2022 I was upgraded to the Care Credit MasterCard, which was an awesome way to show their appreciation for my being a good and loyal customer. They automatically closed the old card and sent me the new card. They did a balance transfer from the old card onto the new card, and I thought everything was fine.

A couple of months later, I started getting collection calls, so I called the customer service (or lack thereof) number. I attempted to find out why that closed card was showing a debt. For 5 months now I have been told that I made a purchase on the old card and I know for a fact I did NOT!

They could never tell me the name of the merchant or any detail of the purchase other than the amount. I have talked to countless reps and managers, having to explain the whole ordeal to each person with multiple transfers for 5 months now.

I have put in several dispute claims. When I would call to follow up with the claim, it was never put in, time and time again. I have recently come to find out that it wasn't a purchase that was made, but a mistake made by one of the incompetent CSRs. This issue has still not been resolved and I am told it will take up to 30 more days for them to respond.

This is absolutely unacceptable and no one seems to care about resolving my issue. One of which could have been resolved or not even happened 5 months ago, if they had competent workers. No one has contacted me to apologize or follow up to let me know what is going on with my case. No one has addressed my many complaints about the multiple reps and managers that I have had to endure for 5 months. They should really be ashamed of themselves!

Desired outcome: For them to contact me and take accountability!!

CareCredit I had two accounts

I had a joint account with my husband for $750.00 and one in my name for $1100.00

The one for 750.00was used and paid off well before the allotted time, then after a few months you people canceled the account, for lack of use you claimed, which I think stinks, who are you to dictate when or how we use the account? Then I relied on my $1100.00 account using a couple of hundred dollars of it, paid it off well before the allotted time. Then within a year you jerk canceled that one, when I was going to use it for my dental. Now I try to re-sign up again for an account for a small amount for the vet, and I get turned down, I don't think that is right/no t fair when my credit is good, and I don't think it's fair that if you don't use right away or for months you cancel it and I go against me, on my credit how is that right? I want justice, I want my chance to have care credit when I need it, not have it go against my credit because you jerk closed my accounts, and even after they were paid off and on time, and well before the time.

Desired outcome: an account not be turned down

CareCredit Medical bills

Care credit is awful. I had to leave a marriage in 2019. My ex was the sole breadwinner and paid the bills. This is a medical bill! I told care credit everything. I sent them proof of my pending divorce and my financial status. They told me they would close my account but ensure I can continue payments as soon as I was working. NOPE. They sold it to a collection agency without warning. I was hounded for two years by trolls. Now this collection agency filed a civil suit to collect. I can’t take it anymore.

Desired outcome: For them to leave me alone. I feel like I’m going to have a heart attack. They should have never told me that they would accept payments when I was working. It was COVID!!

CareCredit I have been trying to get services for years

I have been applying for these services for years and I am a little confused on what the problem has been for all these years my first attempt I had no credit at all now my credit is at a 578. I really feel you all should stop putting this company up as a company to help with dental assistance because you all services has not been accessible to me from the beginning to the end you all are not tryin to help people like me get dental services. Care credit is just a waste of peoples time unless their near death then you all will help with dental services. Care credit is just a waste of internet space you all really is not a company that should keep popping up when we google help with dental services. Because that is not a service that you all offer to people

You should forget about Carecredit. They do not want to help anyone. They are a faceless corporate credit card company that will try to bleed you dry. Don't feel bad about yourself. Find a low income dental clinic around your area. Look at their reviews. Start there, They really want to help people. They can refer you to the right dentist who usually will try to work with you

To fix your issue. It's going to take time. Probably a long time. Be prepared, be grateful, and this to shall pass.

CareCredit Crap Business Ethics!

0 stars. SO DONE with this so called "service" and will not be using anymore after I was CHEATED out of my money! Couldn't keep the story straight of how interest was being applied to my account. Ended up that I am paying over double the amount for a small non-promotional charge that I have suddenly accrued interest on because my payments were not being applied to it! Unbelievable that no one I have spoken with could CARE LESS! I did not need to use this service, I had it as an extra card and used it just to keep it active. However now I will no longer be using it after this egregious theft!

Desired outcome: Refund/credit the interest I was incorrectly charged!

CareCredit Care credit card

What can I say. This company is practicing unethical procedures. I was on the phone for hours trying to get thru. I spoke to 2 reps that reassured me that my expired promotion was paid off in full with a check that I sent. Interest of 26.99% was being charged. Additionally, I sent in a $200 to be applied to another promotion that is expiring in Feb. Both reps reassured me that the funds were applied accordingly. The 2nd rep also gave me the wrong information on what my balance was on the expired promotion.

After much frustration, I asked for a supervisor. She told me the funds had NOT been applied as I had requested. Whereas the reps reassured me that they allocated the funds as I had asked. THIS WAS A RED FLAG. I had to speak to 3 people to get the proper results. 3! Had I not spoken to the supervisor, my money would be applied to the overall balance on both the expired and unexpired promotion costing me unnecessary interest charges.

Additionally, they opted customers out of paper statements in June. I pay my bills from my paper statements. As time went on, I had forgotten about my balance and I was sending an automatic minimal monthly payment thru my online banking. I eventually realized I was paying a hefty monthly interest charge.

CareCredit Medical financial help

I had a care credit account with

Synchrony financial.

They did not send my email any information on my account. Did not give me a due date of when the money was due at the end of the promotion.

charge my card and interest-rate out of the blue on January 30.

Did not give me any information that this would be done on that date.

Did not give me a chance to try to pay the bill off prior to that date. Did not give me any emails on the status of my bill at any time during the two years of having this account

Desired outcome: I feel it’s bad practice is to just ignore somebody and not try to reach out to them and find a solution. No morals anymore..

CareCredit Care credit card synchrony bank - unlawful withdrawal from my bank of america checking account

I was a customer, in good standing with Care Credit (Synchrony Bank).

I had an agreement for the minimum amount due each month (approx. $147.00) with auto-pay until the entire balance was paid off.

Suddenly, on 11/18/2022, Care Credit took the Care Credit entire balance of $4358.46 out of my Bank of America checking account.

I went through hell getting the money placed back into my BOA account but thanks to Bank of America, I did get it back.

I then made my usual agreed monthly minimum payment due to Care Credit of $147.00 for the month of nov 2022

Care Credit made that big fat mistake and then they turned around and sent me a nasty letter that due to "my" mismanagement, my account was now closed - which was fine with me but now I need to keep that black mark off of my credit history.

I have every intention of continuing to pay the minimum amount due each month to Care Credit, until the entire balance is paid off.

I have 2 other accounts with Synchrony and am in excellent standing with them - always on time and never late.

I was in excellent standing with Care Credit as well, until THEY made this huge and upsetting mistake and then blamed me for it.

Desired outcome: I want Synchrony Bank to correct this mistake by Care Credit and I want a letter of apology from them, to send to my creditors and I want no points taken from my credit score.

CareCredit Application error

This morning, December 2, 2022, I applied for a credit line because apparently care credit closes your account without letting you know. I had paid off $3200 for my Invisalign two years ago. I’ve never ever had a problem with my credit, but my pre-qualification was declined. I was at my provider’s office using their phone so we called to conduct an official application over the phone. Well, when it came to the section where you enter your monthly income, I was taken aback because normally they ask for yearly income. I am not a math person by any means, and so I asked the amazing insurance/financial staff member to calculate the monthly income. After only a few seconds, the system completely moved on without allowing me to enter an amount. Needless to say, my application was quickly denied, and the representative who we spoke to both on the phone, was incredibly rude and condescending. I am definitely going to file an official complaint, because this will affect my credit score, and it was most definitely not my fault.

Desired outcome: I would like a genuine apology, and for it not to affect my credit score due to circumstances out of my control.

CareCredit Missing rewards points/poor customer service

Starting at 3:30 pm today, November 29 2022, I tried to call Care Credit to resolve a basic issue. The issue : in August, I was sent an email that I’d be awarded 1000 points for adding my care credit card to my mobile wallet, and another 500 points for making a purchase via said mobile wallet. All I had to do was complete these two tasks before Aug 31, which I did - the purchase made from my mobile wallet was on August 27th. So, I get the first representative, and all I can hear is a dog barking - then the call gets dropped. I immediately call back again. The next rep I was connected to was a loud, arrogant man who spoke over me as I tried to explain my issue. Big shocker - call #2 gets dropped as well. (Btw, he should not being working with the public, he has a very poor attitude.) After that, I called again, yes again, and got bounced back and forth like a pin ball - connected to numerous reps at multiple customer service numbers. I just experienced my 7th rep. I could barely hear her…then next thing you know the line ended up going dead again. This is the worst customer service I’ve dealt with in years. Looks like it’s time to see how many other medical credit card companies are out there. - The time I wasted on getting nowhere today is inconceivable. I still didn’t get one person that knew how to give me the points I rightfully earned…huge fail in every way. *Sure would help to ensure your representatives can speak English, and are also understandable at the same time!

Desired outcome: I want the 1500 points I deserve. Your reps shouldn’t work from home if barking is all that can be heard on a call. It’s also very rude to hang up a call just bc you don’t know an answer.

CareCredit No one can add or subtract

Originally, I was happy to find Care Credit, no interest on promo balances and I could use the card for both my medical and my cat's. This company is seriously disorganized. The reps have no clue how to handle promotionals. If you don't call exactly 5 days to one week before a promo expires, they stupidly apply your payment to any balances expiring much later! OK, so I called. The rep assured me to apply my $50 to the promo expiring next month. It didn't happen. This is how they get you. Then you are charged an outrageous interest amount. Today I tried live chat and got nowhere. In addition, I could not log in to my online account so I went through the change user ID/password route. I might as well have tried to dig up the cement in my driveway. I managed to log in, carefully saved my new info to a file, and also saved it online. Later I logged out. Tried to log in again. Nope. Same scenario. It didn't recognize me. It gets worse. I hate this company!

Desired outcome: Get yourselves organized with a sound structure.

CareCredit Care Credit customer service unable to help with my account

I have made several phone calls to Care credit to inquire on why there is extra charges to my father’s account. I have written permission & he has given me verbal permission over the phone. Every time I call they say I need permission. Recently my father was diagnosed with dementia and I help with his financial matters. I informed them. Care credit puts me on hold for a very long time possibly in hopes that I’ll hang up & then lastly they tell me now I need to send power of attorney so they can talk to me! This is so frustrating and nothing gets resolved with these [censored]s!

Desired outcome: To stop billing additional charges not requested & be able to speak to me an authorized representative from the beginning of the account creation.

CareCredit Care credit app

The Care Credit app has shown as unavailable 3 times when trying to pay my bill. They have charged me a late fee, due to the system not being available the day my payment was due. I will not be paying the late fee. If these people want to run a successful company, and receive payments on time; then they need to hire a competent tech team whom can keep the payment app in working order. If they can not do this, they should not be in business. Simple as that.

Desired outcome: My late fee being removed, due to lack of company competency.

CareCredit CareCredit - Deceptive Deferred Interest

I found myself unemployed/uninsured during COVID and needed an emergency dental procedure which required I apply for the Care Credit Card to cover expenses. I was told it was 18 months interest free and just make my payments on time. Nothing was mentioned about deferred interest.

Fast forward to yesterday, I logged onto my account to pay off the balance for good and saw it had increased by over a thousand dollars. After calling customer service, I was told I had just passed the 18 month mark and the increase in my balance was the deferred interest kicking in. I was also told there is a "grace period" which I was ineligible to qualify for because I had missed the window by a few days.

Not once during the last several months did I receive any type of notification that the 18 month window was approaching and the consequences that followed it. Customer service told me it was in my monthly billings I received in the mail...however I opted for paperless billing. I searched through all my emails and none of the email billing statements made a mention of the above. When I informed the customer service team, they said if I logged into my account, I would have seen it. That is so shamelessly deceptive! You can email me that my payment is due, but not inform me in that same email that I have a massive financial penalty approaching? I spent two hours on the line requesting some type of reduction with customer service, being told no, getting transferred, being told no again... repeat, repeat, repeat. The way this company treats customers who are in good standing and deceptively works against the best interest of the customer is deplorable.

Desired outcome: I want the deferred interest forgiven. Let me pay off my pre-interest balance in full and close the account.

CareCredit Dental work care credit

I’m not sure whose at fault here however, I specifically asked the receptionist as well as the person from synchrony bank about interest rates with regards to this line of credit as I have worked in finance for years. I was assured there were no deferred interest payments. I was prepared to pay my account off today when I learned I was charged a deferred interest payment on the 20th. I’ve tried calling customer service and the issue is completely unresloved

Desired outcome: I am requesting that the interest charge for the month of July be waived

CareCredit I have been trying to use my account security benefits for 3 years with no results.

In 2019, my cardholder spouse was laid off. He had also become disabled and could not be employed during the 2-year disability claim process. I requested the forms to file for a benefit at that time, eventually received them, filled them out, and sent them in. I was then given a great deal of run-around regarding documents of proof, which I provided, but apparently, they were not adequate, and then communication stopped. Meanwhile, I have been paying into this coverage for at least a decade or more, and have no late payments. I have not even used the card in several years, and while I have been making payments on time each month, despite the struggle to do so, my balance continues to grow, because I can't afford to pay more than the minimum due.

I was laid off in March of 2020 due to the pandemic. The business was sold, and I was not hired back. I collected unemployment while I could, but that ended several months ago, and I am no longer qualified for that benefit. I have been applying for jobs and interviewing over the past year, but no luck so far, and it is becoming more and more difficult to pay. I called and requested a form again, and never received it, and once again months ago, and never received it. This is beyond the 4-6 weeks I was told it would take. I am beginning to feel I have been scammed. I am going to have to stop paying regardless of whether the coverage I have been paying for ever actually approves a benefit claim.

What's more, with the number of years I have been paying, I had to have exceeded the original full balance due by now (Minus interest and whatever other fees are being applied.) I would like Care Credit to accept that as payment in full, and then they (Synchrony/Care Credit) can collect from my account security coverage that I haven't been able to use. It should have been paid in full by now because it's been 3+ years since the hardship began, and I attempted to file initially. This is exhausting on top of the other hardships I am having.

It's unethical to be robbed and scammed because I needed dental care and I had to euthanize very ill/elderly pets over the years that I actually used this account.

Desired outcome: I would like Care Credit to accept the payments I have made on time over the last 10+ years as payment in full, and then they can collect from my account security coverage that I haven't been able to use.

CareCredit CareCredit scam

My daughter was in a bad car accident. I called & told them to pay my card balance with auto debit. I owed around $6,000. I’ve never been late on a payment or paid interest. They failed to take the money out & I didn’t notice because we were at the hospital & had more important things to tend to there. They failed to take the $6,000 out and added almost $5,000 interest to my balance. They now refuse to do anything about it. I paid the nearly $10,000 but I have definitely been scammed. CareCredit should be ashamed. It was supposed to be $0 interest.

Desired outcome: 0% interest as promised
