I have worked with Jonathan Lee for over two years with several of my clients. He has NEVER engaged in any unethical practices and always allows the client to think about what was said and do their own independent research. To say that anything was force or anybody was taking advantage of is a mid statement and untrue.

You are very lucky if you got out what you put into this firm. I wish we could say the same. We took their advice and bought more insurance than we really needed (my life insurance and my wife's disability insurance). I realized this after the fact. I wrote a very lengthy letter to the Lafayette Life Insurance Company (that they are underwritten by) over three months ago and never heard back from them. These people are the reason the laws were made (after the fact, unfortunately) that insurance copanies should put their client first rather than their bottom line dollar. Everything sounded good at first and we are lucky to not have them touch our NWM investments or my Tax Sheltered Annuity (they wanted me to stop putting money into the TSA so we could buy more of their products!) That TSA grew more than any of their products; enough so that when I retired (which they did not help with, despite my requests) we had enough to sell our house and move to heck out of the DC area. Again, we lost thousands of dollars. Luckily, I shared my experience with many of my colleagues so at least I know I did some good.

I totally disagree with the complaint. I have had my annuity since 2009. The annuity has performed exactly as Jonathan described when I first invested with him in 2009. I have not been disappointed with my investment at all. I found Jonathan to be very knowledgeable about the investment and advised me on the best solution for my situation. I have been very satisfied with the return on the investment that was recommended. I would definitely recommend Jonathan to any of my friends or family looking for investment advice.

I am shocked that there was a "classic bait-and-switch" complaint about Jonathan Lee. I have been a client of his for two years now and every encounter I've ever had with him has been focused on education and transparency. I've been so impressed with his knowledge, I've referred several people to him and they've all been impressed with his knowledge and planning expertise. He's created a plan for my family that allows us to have a Plan B, C, and D if a number of situations happen. I agree with the previous reviewer - "Jonathan Lee has knowledge and skills that he can impart to you that you otherwise would not have known".

OK this general comment above is misinformed and shows no specific evidence for malfeasance whatsoever. I purchased an Annuity after being informed of the way that financial instrument worked and the proposed returns expected every year. This annuity worked in conjunction with another recommended whole life/retirement policy that can also be used as a tax free supplement to funds and returns during our retirement. Considering our difference in ages and our financial portrait that was expected after retirement, Jonathan was able to customize a plan that had a number of moving parts that I would have never been able to anticipate on my first visit with him and Capital Partners. It took me a number of subsequent meetings over the years to finally feel comfortable with my decision since I am the last person on earth to trust anyone at face value. It turns out I am on the verge of retiring in a month or so. Looking at what I have done now I am amazed at how the policy, the annuity and my wife's TSP are all working just as outlined by Jonathan. He has always been available to us and as far as I am concerned he is a valuable resource and will impart very good information. In my wife's case she told her to do exactly what she had been doing and keep her funds exactly where they were. So, speaking for myself, I am grateful and pleased of the service I received and looking back seven years later I am confident we did the right thing. A high recommend for Jonathan. Do your homework and make your decision based on your own research and situation. No one is twisting your arm to commit. Each person is unique. One thing is certain, Jonathan Lee has knowledge and skills that he can impart to you that you otherwise would not have known. Go to other experts, read, research, then decide. When I have questions, especially as a government employee as to financial planning, Jonathan is the go-to guy. I have experience with him and cannot testify about any other agent at Capitol Financial Partners.

I definitely disagree...the advisors at Capital Financial in Rockville, MD are amazing. I have been a client of Capital Financial Partners in Rockville, MD for almost 10 years and have enjoyed every review. I have never experienced any "bait and switch" tactics or misrepresentation of products. I have referred over 10 friends to their firm and everyone is very happy.

I also totally disagree with the initial comment. I've been working with Jonathan Lee now for over a year, and find him to be very open, honest, and helpful in a non-pressuring environment. He gave me information and told me to take it home and think about what I wanted to do. I've been very pleased with the results of the AVIVA annuity he placed some of my assets in, etc. I've highly recommended him to others.

My personal experience with Capital Financial Partners was very different from the previous review. They were very up front, explained their recommendations very well and applied no pressure what so ever. They were very patient and professional. I have recommended them to several people since I became a client.
