Wow, this leather from Cape Masai is amazing! I got a really cool red one, but it's really hard to show in the pics how deep and rich the color really is. The website made the leather look brighter than it really is. But let me tell you, it's even more awesome in person.

I haven't had the chance to use it yet, so I don't know how durable it is, but it looks and feels like it can withstand the test of time. The folks at Cape Masai were awesome, though. They were so helpful when I asked for more photos of the bag's interior and also the color swatches. Customer service is a huge deal for me, and I was happy with their performance.

My only wish is that the bag had a divider compartment inside. It's a deep bag and some inner organization would really come in handy. But overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.

I recently had an experience with Cape Masai Leather that left a bad taste in my mouth. I was looking to order a special gift for a friend who was leaving the country, and I turned to Cape Masai's website for inspiration.

When I placed my order in February, I asked if it could be delivered by 4 March, which was the last opportunity that I would have to see my friend. They assured me that it would be delivered by that date.

However, as 1 March rolled around, I started to get worried that the gift wouldn't arrive on time, so I reached out to Cape Masai for an update. They responded and said that the bag would only be made in the first week of March.

I was relieved to finally have an answer, but my relief was short-lived. On 3 March, I still hadn't received any tracking information, so I asked them to confirm if it would be ready. To my surprise, they informed me that they would only start making the bag on the 4th of March, and that it would only be delivered early the next week.

At this point, I was starting to feel frustrated and anxious. The window of opportunity to give the gift to my friend was closing quickly, and I wasn't sure if I could count on Cape Masai to deliver on their promises.

Then, on 8 March, I got desperate and asked if they had shipped it yet. The response I got was not helpful or kind. They informed me that they had not even made the bag yet, and that it would be made on that day.

Things continued to go downhill from there. On 9 March, I asked again, and they promised to ship it on that day. However, the bag still hadn't arrived on 10 March, so I asked again. This time, I received a snotty reply that really rubbed me the wrong way. They told me that I had been informed that the bag was leaving the next day, which was today, and that nothing had changed. To be fair, they did finally ship it on the 10th, but by that point, it was too little, too late.

Overall, I am disappointed with my experience with Cape Masai Leather. While the quality and value for money of their products are good, their communication and delivery times leave a lot to be desired. If they had been honest with me earlier in the process, I might have had time to get my friend another gift before it was too late. As it stands, I missed the opportunity to give a special last gift to my friend, and that's a real shame.
