Camelback Toyota review: Unreliable appointments
I scheduled an appointment for my 2020 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid about 2 weeks in advanced with a man named Steven Rice.
I scheduled an appointment because my vehicle had a recall that I needed to get fixed.
I get to my appointment a few minutes early and told the first gentlemen that came up to me that I had an appointment with Steven for my recall. He told me that Steven wasn't in today so this new gentlemen would be working with me. Which is fine with me.
He proceeded to get my VIN number for my vehicle and then asked me to wait as he went to check if they had the parts available to perform the recall fix for my vehicle.
About five minutes later he came back and apologized that they did not have the parts to fix my vehicle and that it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. But probably closer to 2 weeks.
I wasn't only assured by Steven Rice that they could do the specific recall for my vehicle but that they were also open on Columbus day and that it wouldn't cost any money.
I was looking forward to managing being able to take my vehicle in to get fixed at an ideal day and time for myself. It just looks like it wasn't ideal for Steven afterall. As well as the dealership; providing false promises that they were capable of fixing my vehicle and not sure when they actually could. Throwing out a range of 2 to 8 weeks before being able to help me. Without reassurance that they would contact me either.
I guess I'll be asking other Toyota dealerships around me to help me out. At least they let me know what other services they can do for me while I'm there that I didn't need.
Recommendation: Find someone you can trust to help you get what you need?
