Lemon Vehicle
This is literally the 2nd car Camacho Auto Sales has sold me, and it is a Lemon. Since Sep 2022 I have to continuously take the vehicle I have now into Camachos Service Dept every month, and seems like every time I get the car back more and more is wrong with it. To the point where it won’t even turn on right now. The alternator is draining the battery. They have put a new motor in the vehicle and the car is still running bad and making a ticking noise, I have to have my car jump started every time I turn it on. I am paying for the engine and work they have done on the front end out of pocket. I have a leak in my gas tank.
Much much more wrong, and yet they still want me to keep the car instead of switching me into a different car.

Fraud
I went to Camacho last month on the 23 to get a car and I arrived at Camacho auto mall in Palmdale CA I went and sent all my information to their email and then dean walked up and told me I was accepted and said i was to put 800$ down .", AND I DID THAT SAME DAY, they gave me a receipt stating what took place and then me and my girlfriend looked at cars and satiated which one we will like and then WE PICKED THE DODGE 2013 "Red" and then they told us it was going to take 4-5 days for the car to be ready. We Waited 3 weeks and then come to find out WE WEREN'T ACCEPTED FOR THE CAR AFTER ALL THEM WEEKS OF WAITING. IF WE WERE NOT ACCEPTED WHY DID YOU TAKE OUR MONEY ?, then We Gave Them Cash & We Said We Just Wanted Our Money Back & NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY TO GO UP THERE AND PICK UP OUR CHECK! I feel like that was a fraud situation! Why did they take our money In the first place ? Instead of taking the proper steps to see if we was really qualified for the vehicle 🥴 I wouldn't recommend them to anybody & if Anyone is interested in a car from them, DONT GIVE UP YOUR MONEY UNTIL U SIGN EVERY PIECE OF DOCUMENT AND THE CAR IS IN YOUR POSSESSION & You Know THAT EVERYTHING WENT THROUGH properly! Me and my girlfriend is going through a huge situation because of this ! ALL THAT WAITING AND GIVING UP MONEY JUST FOR NOTHING ! WHEN WE FEEL LIKE WE SHOULD OF JUST GOT THE CAR IN THE FIRST PLACE, I mean they already got our money and we were waiting WEEKS AND WEEKS💯 OUR Receipt WAS RECEIVED BY JASON DECKER. The same one who SAID I WASN'T ACCEPTED, But still took our money and gave out the Receipt smh
Hello Arleen,
Thank you for reaching out through complaintboards.com. I have looked into the situation and wanted to respond to the complaint. You are correct, when you came in you picked out a vehicle that would suit your needs but the vehicle hadn't been smogged and or reconditioned by our service shop. Typically it take up to 5-7 days to get the car ready but we do run into delays from time to time that are out of control such as parts availability, open vehicle recalls, #'s of vehicles in front of it, etc. You ended up putting down a deposit on the vehicle which essentially holds the car for you while it goes through the reconditioning process and once it was ready, we had you come in to officially start the paperwork to complete the sale.
Once you came in to do that, it came to our attention that either we or King of Credit financial could not verify your employment. Obviously, if the lending institution could not verify employment, they were not comfortable with approving the loan. At this point, we ended up halting the sale process and you ended up getting your full deposit back. I apologize for this process taking longer the issue but am glad that you were made whole with getting your deposit back.
Hopefully we can gain your business in the future,
Hugo Perez

I paid my down payment like two weeks ago they said my car would be ready 1/30/2020 here it is 2/3/2020 an guess what still no vehicle everyday its a different excuse on why the car not ready they seem to never have a manager there and thats when they answer they phones I had enough. Camacho sucks big time they accepted my money but yet im walking still so now I took matters in my own hands and I reached out to an attorney. Who is willing to take on my case so I meet with him today at 5:30pm an im just gonna pursue this legally in court... I wouldn't recommend camacho to my worst enemy if I had one...
This place is by far ridiculous now they wanna give me a check because I made a complaint so now they retaliated by not giving me a car because they mad... But im glad I made it here to the attorneys office early because they heard exactly what was said... Camacho is so full of [censored] but they got the right one today... See im glad I go to college an im glad I study law because after that call im definitely going to pursue this to the highest extint

my car
I got my car may 2nd and on the 5th I had to take it to get fixed because it was over heating! Then I told them not even 2 weeks after that my wheel alignment was off they looked at it and said it was nothing wrong until I almost got into an accident because I lost control of my car and my son was in the back seat I thank got I knew what to do after that my check engine light came on they fixed it I've only had my car for 2 months and I've had to take it to get fixed every 2 weeks now my coolant light keeps coming on because it's leaking and because it's the 4th of July there not able to fix it! I am very tired of this car they gave me a 2003 Chevy Malibu for $1500 down and $310 a month I didn't get to choose my own car because I didn't have any credit i missed so many days of work because I had to fix that car, I've asked Camacho for a new car they denied my request and told me to take it to get it fixed everything I get it fixed something else goes wrong with it I also asked them to take the car back and return my money they also denied that request so I'm going to sue them I would never buy a car from them again!
car buying problems
Bought a car a week after having the car started giving me trouble only had it for a month now the transmission seems like its slipping was told they can get me something else get there and got the run around. They are a rip off i was warned not to deal with them i should of listen.when you buy a ð and paying a car note you want to be comfortable they ### me good but i have the last say trust me God don't like ugly and not to found of pretty they run. A good game but full of lies i put in so many reports within the last hour with so many people but its something called the News and I'm going to make sure that its seen for the sales people that's doing wrong for commission shame on u .. But watch this.. I was told to bring it in and get another car, to sit there n they tell me its out of their hand okay
payments
I purchased a 2003 chrysler pt cruiser from camacho auto sales in palmdale ca.in august of 2013. My contract states that I am to pay 44 payments of $351.36 making my total $15, 459.84. With april 2017 being my 44th payment due date, I am now being told that I have to pay an additional 45th and 46th payment which now means that I am paying a now new total of $16, 162.56 for this vehicle, with no reason for these additional payments. I don't understand how they can legally do this.
I don't understand how I could owe an additional $700.00 Dollars. I am On Social Security Disability and receive my monthly benefits on the 3rd of every month. Marie calls me on the 2nd or the 3rd of every month to remind me of my due payment like clock work, so if I was $700.00 behind, she would have electronically turned my car off. But now all of a sudden I have been told that because I am at the end of my contract, I am now charged interest daily on the balance, for the months of 2017. I am reporting them to DMV as well as BBB and have saught out legal advice as to how to proceed with this issue. So it is going to be interesting to see how they get out of this.
defaulting a contract
I bought a car from commercials I signed a blank contract verbally Marty told me that it would be 3 years of payments that's why I would be paying $400 a month why did not know I neglected to look at the contract and I found out ...Jack me good .. And they wouldn't fix my car after so many miles and they shut me down the turn off my car or I can start it I have cancer I have to go to these treatments for a while open brain surgery try to explain to them that I dont have my car payment and they don't care they shut you down or they repossess your car I know my contract was default I looked at the payments and it shows that I was paying that $50 towards the payment the rest went to principal or some kind of bullcrap is and I think it's wrongI wish the investigator can look at the paperwork and tell me sad cuz I bought a couple cars from them this my 4th one..and my last one
sales
My daughter went in 2 days ago and was in the process of purchasing a new car she didn't have quite enough money so my son went into help her . My son started asking more questions about interest rates and found out they wanted to charge her 19% . When they decided they did not want the car and wanted a refund they were unwilling to void the transaction said there was nothing that they could do at the time since it was after hours. My daughter insisted on speaking to the manager Hugo who was there at the time But he refused to speak to them or help them. I know for a fact they could've simply voided the credit card transaction that they just processed and that would of been it. Instead, They told them they had to come back the next day, when they came back it was after hours because both of them work they still didn't have the money ready for them and not willing to process any transactions such as a check. Even though my daughter show them that it had processed through her bank account on her phone. They told them they would have to wait three days to get a check or come in during business hours to swipe the card. My daughter works until 6 PM and my son lives out of town about an hour away. This was a big problem! What should've happened is that they just simply voided the last card transaction and this would've been all done. But instead they drag it on and continue calling her every day to persuade her into purchasing a car. If they don't know how to properly processed Credit card transactions they shouldn't even be in business. This is basic business skills people! If your sales person Ronnie or your sales manager Hugo didn't know how to do this simple process, shame on you and if they did and just refused, you should be shut down!
contracts
They show you the numbers on a white office paper, then the numbers change on the actual long form contract. We agreed to 750 for trade in, and another 750 within 30 days to cover the down. After going over this several times with the saleman, we find out after reading the contract at home, we owe 1500 in 30 days. They even offered to break up the 750 into two payments of 375. The first payment being in two weeks. And we said No. We knew we couldn't do it. So they gave us 30 days. Now this is just to cover the down payment. The actual car payment of 483 is on top of that.
If You see a silver chrysler town n country year 01 on their used lot. Don't buy it, the tranny's gonna go out
rip off
Watch out, camacho auto sales will rape you of your money. If anybody has purchased a car from Camacho auto sales and surprisingly your transmission breaks down 3 months and 1 day after your warranty expires sue them. They will agree to fix the car they will attached an extra 3000.00 to your loan and drag your payment out forever. Don't fall for them
What you work for camachos I have the right to express how I feel, they RAPED me gosh get out of here with that choose your words. Camachos are thieves
Yep rape, they got me with no Vaseline lol
I am looking for some help myself. I purchased a truck 5mos ago from Camacho. I took in in june stating that the transmission was having issues. They claim nothing was wrong. Just a few days ago it started not starting and having this smell come from it. I took back they said im out of warrenty. I don't understand i only had 5mos. How can i need a new battery have transmission issues and some oc thing reset in 5mos. They saying im on my own. Im trying to fight this. I just got that car. Traded in my other truck that i got from them. I had to miss work. Can someone tell me what i should do. This don't seem fair or legal.
Rip off
I was an idiot who didnt listen to people also and gave them a try not having good credit within the first week took it in to be service they said it was fine been complaining about the 🚗 within a week of having now going on a month the trans seems like its slipping how could you as humans see tears in somone eye and not give a damm i for got Thats how they make they 💰
We agreed on 21, 700 having a payment of $490 a month now the bank is saying o agreed and signed for 22, 700 and $545 a month... I called to clarify with the supervisor Jason who tried to treat me like a criminal telling me that his spidy senses were tingling and the hairs on his neck were standing up telling me that it was weird that I car pooled and didn't have my truck and paper work with me at work to verify that I agreed to the higher price. Jason told me why don't i just bring it back because this situation seems like it will blow up, which is truly strange for a manager to handle a situation in that manner... To top it off they said they were putting new brakes on my truck but putt the cheapest brakes that squeak so bad it's embarrassing. They told me they weren't going to put good breaks on the truck of course. just what would pass inspection, but I'm more then welcome to pay for my own expensive breaks.
I should have known better to go back to them for a sec time, the first experience I bought a ford explore I told them when i test drive it that the transmission felt weird, they assured me it went threw there five point inspection and the transmission went out before I made the sec payment. I had to pay for a rental car for two weeks. A year and two weeks after the transmission warranty was up the transmission went out again so I bag no choice but get a new car from them... But never again and I will never send anyone there ever again.
Camacho auto has fine commercials and a website. However I tried to finance a car through them on line and got a call back from them. Only to find out they didn't sell me a car not because of my good credit but because I'm on SSI and make $1, 398.00 a month. The woman on the other end said I needed to make no less than $1500.00 a month so I didn't qualify. I told the fool that I was just under the money I get to oversee that due to my good credit and she told me that did not matter. Incredible huh.
I have posted on here before we have now decided to give back our 2007 ford focus piece of crap we brought our car out of town and the brakes that they were supposed to have fixed are now out the engine rod is gone and the only thing they can say is that is not our problem. When I called to turn it in they informed me my payments are up to date and they will put it as a repo on our credit. I told them to try I am going to dispute it due to the fact that the car is a lemon we have had engine brake and transmission problems with this car.. I would never never never buy another car from them they are rude and do not honor the warranty not do they check their cars before selling them.
Haven't had my car over 6 weeks here rattling took it back motor needs to be taken out and won't supply of rental car
My husband and I went to camancho and bought a car we have only had it 2 weeks have had a blow out and the brakes were so bad that the rotors were warped and the pads were non existent. I called camacho and they fixed the problems but now I am having a weird vibration in the front and the car isnt idling right tried to turn it in and they told me I am locked into this car and could only trade it up and pay another down payment. They dont care about safety only about money I had my kids riding in a no brake car. I had to cry and get upset before they would fix it and said that they had the car checked from top to bottom before I bought it yea right who knows what else is wrong with this car I am stuck with.
Anyone looking for an attorney to assist with Camachos' deceptive ways and defective vehicles, please use the link below:
http://www.consumeradvocates.org/find-attorney
There may not be a California used car lemon law to protect you but there are some Federal Laws out there to assist consumers with the deceptive practices that Camacho Automotive has in place.
Also, be sure to pull out your Buyers Guide that (No buyers guide provided to me) discloses your warranty terms as well as coverage, any additional service contract paperwork, your LAW553 contract (check to see if they charged you for an additional service contract! It should be disclosed on line 1L.), all maintenance records since you purchased the used vehicle, check your paperwork for a carfax (Did they provide to you?), make sure you have all of your paperwork ready when you contact the attorney!
I purchased a 2004 Cadillac SRX from Camacho back in October of 2014. The vehicle has never run right and now for the third time is being put back into their service department. They try to tack on all these repair costs to the balance of the loan for repairs that should have been checked and completed via a final diagnosis before the vehicle is ever sold and driven off of the lot! Apparently safety to the customer means nothing to the Camacho stores.
They sell broken down vehicles, treat their customers terrible, victimize innocent consumers and then turn around and threaten to ruin their credit (Lon McKrackin-GM) by showing the vehicle as a repo because you refuse to pay for a vehicle that doesn't run!
These stores are highway robbery. What they sell should be considered illegal and their doors should be shut and closed with the key thrown away!
listed a vehicle they didnt have on floor
We drove out 75 miles on a vehicle that they advertised on the internet and confirmed that they had with their Customer Service Rep Ty. We confirmed a couple times through out the drive to make sure they didnt sell the vehicle and that we were going to make it there before closing. The vehicle that we wanted was a 2004 Ford Excudsin DIESEL listed for sale...

I purchased a 2005 chevy truck from ed camacho a few months ago. The price seemed fair and ed sold me an extended warranty (he insisted that I should buy it). Well, i've had a transmission mount break off since then and when I called the warranty company, they told me the warranty never existed and they never heard of ed camacho or camacho auto sales. This crook charged me $500 for a warranty that is worthless!
Ed camacho, you ripped me off! This is the last time I will trust you or another # used car dealer! You are a scammer!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Camacho's advertising is racist and paints Latino people as all being deadbeats with rotten credit. I don't know why anyone would buy from them.
I love my 2003 dodge durango recently purchased from comacho autos sales .I got a very good deal, and it has never given me any problems the staff was very friendly and I would recomend them to anyone, they also give special deals to millitary thanks comacho auto sales!
