Shoppers Drug Mart

The check-out at this location has facility to use one's credit or debit cards but will not allow customers to do so. They will only take cash. Many people do not want to use the self-checkouts but are forced to even with great difficulty and great discomfort.

It is humiliating and rude to stand in line at the only check-out and to be told "cash only" and then to be laughed at be the staff and others in line. I didn't see the very small hand written note 'cash only' attached to the electronic device specifically designed for payment with cards. This is a very serious situation and this store management will be held accountable for this very destructive and harmful treatment.

The insensitive treatment of customers will eventually result in going elsewhere for purchases. Many people in my community are complaining about this. Some are organizing a boycott of this store. Shoppers (the management at this store) doesn't seem to care or realize that it will cause great harm to people and to business.
