H & M Hennes & Mauritz - unprofessional manager

I purchased a pair of 30.00 pants for work. I didn't have time to wait in line and try them on, so I took them home and tried them on at my leisure. They were too tight, so I brought them back to the same location with the receipt. All of the tags were attached. Including the large one at the waist of the pants. Only about 5 days had gone by since my purchase. The employee serving me could not make out the receipt because the barcode was slightly faded. I had kept it in my wallet so I guess the friction wore it out. I politely explained this with a smile. He called the manager. She came over. No smile. Absolutely no greeting. She says in a shockingly abrupt tone "have these been worn?!" I say, "well as you can see every single tag is attached. I couldnt wear these in public like that." she says nothing. Continues to inspect every inch with a grimace on her face. Shes scrolling through the computer and waiting for something to load. She picks her fingernails as she waits, flicking the hangnails down onto the pair of pants she was just inspecting, which makes no sense. I work in customer service, and I was absolutely appalled at her behaviour. When she completed her duty, she walked away without any words. I was truly disgusted. The other employee completed the return with me. He was half her age and much more polite, courteous, and respectful. But for some reason demanded he see my id and take down all my information because that is their policy for "a return without a receipt" I said I had a receipt. At this point, over a cheap pair of pants, I was feeling harrassed. I regretted even taking them back because the experience was honestly humiliating. I reccomend someone speak to the manager at the very least. No store should be run that way. I've been working with people for 12 years and I wouldn't dream of it.
