I have joined goodlife fitness square one club a month and a half ago and I had a personal trainer now when I got a personal trainer he never disclosed about me having him for a 1 year contract few days back our club had one covid positive case and I live with my sister and brother in law they are diabetic with a compromised health so I decided to not continue gym for few months until covid goes away when I informed that to my trainer he told u are on a contract and that was a shocker to me as he never told me about any contract now this is a humanitarian one should
Allow to cancel this membership as covid rolled out in that club and now they are asking me to pay 20% of the 12 months fees I am
A single parent and I don't even have job where would I bring all this money from. Please help
GoodLife is not the least bit sympathetic. My advice to you would be to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding their unfair contract cancellation fee. No one should be charged for services they did not/ do not receive.
In the meantime, my only advice is to cancel, by any means necessary. GoodLife is about the hard sell and they won't make it any easier for you later on. So, save yourself the headache. As someone who cancelled but was billed $393.24 for services I did not receive, I do not recommend this company or their lousy services to anyone. Take it as a hard lesson learned and do not trust this company again.
I also recommend, if you are interested in personal training, to look at the many private and local gyms and freelance trainers in your city. Most trainers working at GoodLife are mediocre (at best). There are far better personal trainers and gyms. You will never regret the day you leave GoodLife. That is something I assure you...
Good luck
