CDI College - Unprofessionalism and unethical conduct

January 2021
- after enquiring for information I was contacted immediately and enticed to "see if I'd be accepted" in which case I was and then seemingly pressured to come in right away
-without delay I came in and the finance person stood over my shoulder insisting that I sign in and fill out student funding forms according to her direction. I asked what if I need to figure out the numbers so that I can budget, she responded with "it doesn't matter this is the amount you will be accepted for, just put these numbers and sign it."
- I was not informed that it is not an option to opt out of text book purchases and was forced to purchase text books at outrageously inflated prices, when I enquired about purchasing used I was then told this is not an option AFTER admission and that I should have said so in the beginning. Again, I was not supported by administration staff.
-Classes are basically self taught, one instructor even asking me permission to use one of my power point presentations to teach one of his classes.
-During the two week duration of one class we had 3 different instructors because of staff changes. This was very disruptive to the learning experience not to mention grades not being posted and emails deferred repeatedly while blaming the staff member who left.
-no accountability or responsibility
-grades not adequately posted for assignments nor exams sometimes even months after that class had ended. This is not conducive to success, especially for those that may be struggling just to pass.
-the last few classes I did not even use text books, and they were text books already purchased for previous classes yet the campus is stating that I owe for text books ($1103.00 after I attempted to decline purchasing text books at that marked up rate and was not informed of my legal rights or other options)
-no one approached me for explanation nor direction of how practicum works
-I had to seek out information regarding my practicum and then I was redirected, and given minimal information
-I was told I had to apply and seek out my own practicum and when I stated that is strange because "practicum included" was not being up held even though my friend's accounting firm had been approached by coordinators at south campus requesting a placement for their student. I was sent a list of businesses that I could apply to. Due to covid many of the places that I applied to were not accepting practicums and so I decided to just attend practicum through my current employer, this was discussed and agreed upon with Ashley.
- I was not informed of process and on Oct 15, 2021 I spoke with Ashley via telephone who stated that if I did not have placement I would be withdrawn from course.
-I submitted forms as best as I could online but must have had technical issues because then Schweta is now stating that I will be withdrawn from course due to not submitting agreement forms
- no notice that forms had not gone through properly
-unsupportive and challenging rather than coordinating and informing as would be expected-due to scheduling conflicts and my seeing doctors there was confusion as to when I can take the non violent crisis intervention certificate and I am still waiting to attend. I have completed the suicide intervention but have not received that certificate
- Any and all communications have been confusing and unprofessional. I have included a screen shot of email stating that placement will proceed, yet I am being threatened to be withdrawn for same forms not being submitted.
-this campus has only given me stress and is extremely unprofessional

Desired outcome: I seek the amount that the college states that I owe for text books that were not used in the last 3-5 classes to be expunged.
