Rip off company
My complaint is that i tried to purchase 'LIME PRO' for faster service. And i gave my information regarding payment. For 1- the software or download never occured, 2- the company charged me 3 times 18.88, and 4 attempted to charge me the 4th time, but no sufficient funds available.
Ok! i called the company and a young lady answered the telephone. I told what have happened and she stated that if there any errors on my payments and i didnt get the software. In 3 buisness days the payment would be returned back in my account. Well people the call was made on 6/8/06. And the date is 6/12/06. I STILL DIDNT GET MY MONEY REFUNDED. That is why i say 'I WAS RIPPED OFF AND LEFT ME BROKE. If there was supposbly an error, howcome the payment went thru 3 times and attempted a 4 payment. Right there, it wasnt an error.

bait and switch
When purchasing the "Pro" edition of LimeWire, the form popped up with a notice that my phone number was incomplete. When I selected the button to correct this, the total for my order magically increased by $10 for no known reason. Incidentally, initially, the order form automatically adds a checked off box for additional software unrelated to LimeWire- and an additional $14.95 charge. You can unselect the box, of course, but it is probably wiser to select another P2P product.

I recently tried purchising a subscription but soon realised that it was charging me for things i didnt want, and i have a lot of difficulty using the website. i requested to speak to the administrater for a refund. Ive heard nothing back. The money is still in my account but can not be taken out. I need that money as i have a young child and my partner has gone and im struggling. I need that money.

Rip off
This Company is a total con, and is clearly ripping people off ! I thought I was buying a monthly subscription of £0.99 a month for two years, but ended up getting charged a £64 in total for all other sorts of other programs which I didn't ask for and which I haven't actually received! The program that I did think I was buying also didn't work! This company clearly needs to be stopped!

I had heard from some friends of mine that Limewire was the way to go for music downloads, WRONG! I signed up for it and now am unable to connect to the services, with no way to cancel it. This is a joke and I'm out $45.00.
I would like to put a shout out to everyone who was ripped off by Limewire. My family had three adult users including myself and they took our money. Now our cable companys keeps sending me infringement emails but I paid for all my services with Limewire. I think we should start a class action lawsuit against Limewire and get paid just like the artist. We got ripped off too?

Not being terribly knowledgeable with the art of downloading music from the internet, friends and family had advised me that LimeWire was one of the best sources. On the LimeWire sight, there was nothing to indicate that I was not following the process correctly until the confirmation e-mail pinged into my box... from "CustomerSerice" confirming that £62.51 had been debited from my card. Lifetime membership was supposed to be £14.99!
This happened last year and I have tried to contact them and Lime Wire on numerous occasions but have had no response. I've now just accepted that I have lost that money but it really galls me.

Today on june 24, i just download that limewire from this noreply... They gave me a password that doesn't work and they download something on my computer that you cannot get access on. Can somebody tell me if they have receive their money back? Or if I should tell someone at mastercard.

Want to cancel, cannot contact
I would just like to say that i cannot access the website at all to cancel online nor can i call because there isn't a number for this service. I don't know how i was offered the service but i too was charged before i knew it and that's why i want to cancel. Why have the service if you cannot use it. There should be a way to atleast cancel if you don't want the service and get your money back. So my question is who do you call or contact and how? Please tell me. The link they ask you to use doesn't work and i just do not want to be charged again.

I downloaded limewire May 6, 2017. Really stupid. Charged me 29.88 for one year. So far I had problems signing in. Then can't download anything..I want my money back. This is a scam. No way to contact. Tried to e-mail with no response in three days. Going to try and call attorney General.
Twice while searching for regular movies I was sickened by what appeared to be under age pornography. This website needs to be shut down and never brought up again. All i know is lesson learned, i will never be visiting such a site again. Complete disgust!
I went to sign up for limewire and instead got another program called 360 pro share. I paid a little over $2.00 /mo to get coverage and what did I get? A charge of over $60.00 from a site called downloadhome.com. Word of advice: Be careful what you ask for. Do your research on the company to find complaints, research their customer care services and if you can reach them, because I sure didn't get much service results. I figured out it was all just a big SCAM.
I tried the basic free version of Limewire and decided to purchase the software. As soon as I purchased it the program stopped working. I contacted tech support and they directed me to uninstall and reinstall a few programs on my computer. I followed all instructions and it still did not work. He continued to give me the same advice over and over. My computer starting crashing and I actually needed to go to the Geek Squad to have my computer saftly turned on and disable the program. The program was completly freezing my computer and was unable to even turn it on. I told tech support that I was patient and I tried everything he said and it doesnt work I want my money back. He then ignored me and I messaged him 2 more times and still no response. They have completely stole my money and I am left with a software that is not working and crashing my computer.
I have been billed by a company called csdetails.com for the sum of £59.49 to enable me to download music from a firm calling themselves limewire however I have received an e mail from the official limewire company saying that they do not charge such an amount and that I should telephone this company however i do not have a number to call I have tried to call the number on my bill but there does not seem to be an dialing tonne from this number.
we went onto LimeWire website on sunday 13 may to download music we clicked on to pay 1 pound 66 pence we paid this amount using my visa debit card since checking with my bank a payment of 34 pounds and 1 pence was taken out of my account also at the same time a payment for 34 pounds and 76 pence was also debited from my account sunday evening going to your selfs both being unauthorized payments i did not give my permission. Beware!
I ordered limewire unlimited music & movie downloads they give me fake username and password. so they didnt give me the service every time i tried to get on it wanted me to purchase it again.i would like to cancel order because my bank says it dont post until tomorrow.

i got a membership for 1 year on feb6 2011 and i cant log in with the password the program gave me . i was really looking foward to using this program and now im disapointed. is this what you guys do scam people for there money. nice. please get back to me with a new password or my money. thank you
What a problem. Even if you are just downloading unlicensed products, you never know what your going to get. You think your downloading one thing and you get something totally unexpected. And usually junk or spam or worse. Tried it a few times, staying away at this point. I just dont feel safe. I dont want to end up with a PC virus, spyware or something illegal on my PC.
Fraud & cheating!
I wanted to download music, but I wanted to actually do it legally and pay for it. I found this website music for members.com and it said you get a lifetime of music for a one time fee of 26.95! that sounded great so I entered in all of my info. and waited for the e mail back with my password. Well I got the e mail and the website link it sent with it said "this website does not exist" when I clicked on it. So I went back online and typed in the website name manually and then entered in my password and LIMEWIRE popped up! I did not sign up for that! Plus I can get freaking Limewire for free! The best part is there was a 67.00 charge on my credit card! Now I have to go through the hassle of canceling my card and disputing the charges. It is ridiculous! I hate people that have to steal to try to make a living.
