Credit Card Ripoff
My wife noticed a strange charge for $25.00 on our Master Card originated by "11950 SW Garden Place" and asked me what it was. I didn't recognize it either, so we began investigating. GOOGLE brought us to this page where we saw several [redacted]s of fraudulent charges, all of which track back to 11950 SW Garden Place as some sort of ATT cellular blling operation. Since our cellular service is thru BOOST, not ATT, so we didn't make a ATT-BOOST connection at that time.
Because we believed the charge to be fraudulent, we notified our credit card company. They recognized the billing signature as one they receive many complaints about, immediately cancelled that credit card, and issued a new one with a different number. Express delivery for our replacement cards cost us $8.00.
Then, in reviewing our BOOST Mobile account online, we found that a balance of $28.20 on one of our two accounts had been zeroed out and exactly one minute later, our credit card had been charged another $25.00 -- apparently the same $25.00 we were trying to get answers for when this all started.
Nowhere in BOOST's autopay by credit card did they mention using a third party to actually collect the payments - however, they do -- enter Vesta BOOST at 11950 SW Garden Place in Portland OR.
Long story short, despite BOOST representative's full assurance when we shifted to them that neither our deposits nor our minutes would ever expire, we were told today by BOOST that both expire every 90 days. When I tried to close both accounts, I was told that BOOST does not close accounts - rather, when the deposit runs out without being refilled, the account automatically expires.
The fact a BOOST representative told us what he did, neither BOOST customer service nor BOOST billing was willing to make things right with us.
So - BOOST and VESTA BOOST ripped us off for a total of $82.00 (including that $8.00 express delivery fee for replacement credit cards).

It is very irksome to hear these stories of companies that cheat consumers out of their money like this. But to be completely honest all major companies like boost use a third party lender in order to process transactions, so it is always better to be very cautious when giving out any account or credit card information to pay for bills or certain items. I had a similar situation with Blockbuster that was a very long and tedious process. Fortunately though I got reimbursed all the charges by disputing this with my bank. Coming out of that situation I have just learned that sometimes it is just better to pay cash or make your payments online only if you have the option that they will not save your credit card information, and absolutely never set your account up for automatic withdrawal! Sorry about your problems Fairfax, if I were you I would try filing a dispute for the charges with my credit card company because you did not authorize the charges! Good Luck!
credit fraud
I used a credit card to pay for a moving company (All My Sons Moving and Storage) in Orlando, FL. The next morning there were over 60 charges to Orlando Utility, and one for $107.00 to 11950 SW Garden Place. I canceled the card and am in the process of filing a complaint with the Bank of America.

I noticed a charge on my bank account and while the amount seemed familiar, the name did not. But I Googled them... went past all the "scam reports" and noticed that the amount sounded familiar because it was my phone payment to ATT GoPhone. They ARE a legitimate company who is collected payments for another company. There is nothing wrong or shady about this practice. If you ever go to a small business that utilizes a Square Reader system.. you tend to see the same thing because not everybody registers their business name to their billing account. You also see the same thing if you are ordering transcripts from school. Be aware of the money you spend and track amounts. Just because the name doesn't look right, doesn't mean it is not legitimate. This is when keeping a check register and writing down payment amounts and dates come in handy.. or doing a check on your banking mobile app every couple of days.
Yea well I called the customer rep for this company at [protected] and they say they see no transactions made from my card, but the address on my transaction history is Vesta 11950 sw garden place Portland, OR.
WoW! How are they able to continue to screw people out of their money without something being done about it?
My attitude towards this complaint is I'M Pissed!
I also have never had a T-Mobile account or made purchases. Nonetheless, T-Mobile charged my credit card and bank $272.00. They agreed to remove all traces of my info and send me a check for this amount and $200.00 for inconveniences. I never have received anything. I have now filed suit against T-Mobile and sent them requests for discovery. A paralegal called me who was extremely rude. She was informed to never personally call back but have a real attorney call. The FTC and FCC needs to review their continued violations.
They are trying to charge $2.00 and $60.58 to my debit card!
can somebody help these people got me for $25.
Just checked bank statement and they charged us $50 and $304 we do not have cell phones or anything. It is a scam. I agree with you 100% they need to be stopped
I don't have T Mobile or a go phone or AT&T or Boost Mobile, so why was I charged $37.73?
I am having my bank refund me this as I did not authorize the charge!
I got a charge of $6.43 from them on 1/24/14 and I do have a phone with Assurance Wireless. However I had not called this month to add minutes and be manually charged, So I know I didn't authorize such payment. I called Assurance wireless first before calling my back to disputed it and they agreed they had charged it because my account was under automatic pay. I explained I haven't had my account on autopay nor is that the amount they charge when I call to add my minutes manually. I asked to have the card removed from the system, remove the autopay which I never requested and I want my refund. She agreed to do so immediately and sys I would get my refund back on my card in 7-10dys.
Perhaps a lot of problems would be solved if the charge indicated who the hell Vesta was collecting for! Consumers KNOW they paid for their car tags, or phone, or whatever. They have no idea who Vesta is. And the consumer is ultimately authorizing payment to... Boost, or TMobile, or whoever, NOT Vesta-as-agent-for. This is wrong, wrong, wrong.
Vesta's "address verification" system is going to cause one of their customers a customer!
2 weeks now i've tried to add funds to my prepaid debit card, which uses Vesta to process payments and do address verification. I have confirmed with my credit union the address on my account, have tried all the variations I can think of, and no one can tell me why its not working.
Considering restricting my business with this company and its customers.
ID Theft / Credit Card Fraud
I noticed they charged my debit ATM credit card 4 times for $26.75 each time. I contacted my bank and the charges were reversed. My bank stated they had a number of complaints regarding this company and fraud. I was reimbursed within days. My bank asked me if I would sign a complaint / testify if called upon to do so, my unequivocal answer - yes!
My biggest piece of advice to anyone, make sure you check your statement monthly and contact your bank immediately if you notice unauthorized charges.

I had the same charge on my bill, but realized that since I have boost mobile, I was the one that actually made the charge, silly me. Although, this was the first time I made my monthly payment, so from now on I know what the charge is for. Yay!

When it comes down to it, it's not VESTA stealing your money, it's a prepaid customer STEALING your money and paying for their service through VESTA. Obviously when you call your bank they want to help you and make you feel good. But everyone needs to realize that of course their is a high # of fraud that happens when Vesta processes over 1 million orders EVERY MONTH. The percentage of fraudulent orders through Vesta is actually very small but when Vesta processes orders for over 8 or 9 different prepaid cell phone and prepaid calling card customers, a small percentage of a million orders is a BIG BIG #.
Don't get too worked up, call your bank and dispute the charges and VESTA will loose money, or call Vesta and request to dispute the charge with them and after they investigate the charge they will reverse the transaction or if that's not possible, they will send you a check. But your quickest bet is to dispute through the bank.
I have noticed that I have been charged for something I know nothing about this is very sad how I get my money taken from me for nothing this is some bull crap this needs to stop Iam very fed up with this mess.
