I would have never thought I would be able to obtain a new mortgage after losing my job due to COVID19. After speaking with a Loan officer at Homestead Financial Mortgage, they walked me through the process and explained to me what steps would need to be taken to obtain a new mortgage. In the mean time I was applying for a new job. Once I got my job offer the Homestead Financial Mortgage was able to get me approved and closed within a month. Very transparent, up front, & to the point. I must admit that I was rather nervous about refinancing because of all of the bad stories that I have heard from friends about their experiences with other companies, but my loan officer at homestead financial mortgage made me feel comfortable & involved me throughout the process so that there were never any surprises. Homestead Financial Mortgage was PHENOMENAL to work with! Their representative, Sarah, was PHENOMENAL to work with! She made sure to fully keep my husband and I well informed and updated during the entire process! During our initial call, I felt an instant connection and truly know God placed Sarah in our lives for a reason. As first time home owners, we did not know what to expect. She was real, raw and honest with us which is what we needed. She had our family's best interest and it was such a pleasure to work with her! I cannot thank Sarah enough for all she did!

My experience with Homestead Financial Mortgage was phenomenal. I bought my house all via phone calls, emails and virtual visits. The team at Homestead Financial Mortgage was always very responsive to any questions I had regardless of the time and day. They were exceptional in explaining how everything was going to take place and what was happening next. They walked me through the whole process, which I appreciated as this is my first time buying a house. I will definitely be referring them to all my friends and family. I would give it zero stars if I could.. very slow, unprofessional, they dont keep you up to date on where your at with the refinance especially as a seasonal union worker. I have been trying to get the refinance done for about 4-6 months now and its always something else. Like they should have known from the start not something new month to month. They keep saying should be good to close then dont or when you try and check in they dont answer or tell you they will get right back with you and dont it has been a terrible experience. I have refinanced 2 or 3 times with other companies and it was very easy and they helped out. This is by far the worse by a few times over. I would never ever recommend them if anything I would go out of my way to discourage using them as a company of choice.
