The crew showed up and worked hard. They did a tear off and replaced a lot of bad sheathing and fascia. They finished in just over a day with a big roof job, including new vents and drip edge. They also cleaned up as they went. Good job guys!

Big flat roof (60'x80'), they did a complete tear-off and replaced it with a new rubber roof. Job looks nice, workers were professional. They kept the job site tidy and cleaned up after they were done. I would hire them again.

I was so impressed with the quick turn around with this company. I called and they immediately came over and looked at my leaky roof. Within days they had it fixed! I spent much less than I anticipated and the gentleman who came to fix the roof was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I'm extremely satisfied with this company and would 100% recommend them.

Worst choice ever. Took 13 months for siding job. Every excuse in the book and every was "we'll be done in 2 weeks." Horrible job that took 2 repair crews to fix mistakes. Absolutely poor communication until they want paid. I would never recommend them. Only good at gabbing to distract you. I would really had given zero stars. DO NOT RECOMMEND! I have many pictures to prove it.

New Home to Us, Flat Roof Issue Resolved

*** and his crew promptly provide an estimate for our roofing issues and worked with our buyers' insurance to gain approval for the work. They also helped to secure a mason to take care of some issues with the chimney prior to the tear off and replacement of the flat roof. *** was very good at communicating where we were with the scheduling. *** did a great job both documenting the before and after via photos and doing the work. I would recommend Brown and Sons Roofing and Siding for your future projects. Very happy with the workmanship at an affordable price.

Brown and Sons Roofing and Siding was amazing. I was kinda nervous, and I was texting them at 7am, worried about the weather in the next few days 'cause they were starting my roof. They texted me back and said not to worry. They showed up early, at 8am, had the whole old roof stripped in like an hour or so, and was almost done by noon putting on the new roof. They also finished the roof on the shed and did a full cleanup. The whole crew was happy and nice. I can't thank them enough! They're not too expensive, honest, and hardworking. I couldn't have asked for more.

On September 1, Brown & Son started puttin' up some aluminum sidin' on our house in Brooklyn, MI. They finished most of the work on October 15, 'cept for caulkin' 'round the windows and fixin' some big things. They said they'd take care of those issues in the Spring of 2020. I paid 'em the rest of the money on that day... boy, was that a mistake! 'Cause of the whole 2020 pandemic mess, I didn't hear a peep from these guys. Then on November 12, I went to their office in Adrian and talked to Jerome, one of the owners. He said he'd come out and check the problems. Him and another guy showed up and said the issues were "unacceptable." They promised to fix 'em in the Spring of 2021. But on May 17, I still hadn't heard nothin' from anyone, so I went back to the office. They said Jerome would give me a call... but he never did. Then on June 3, I made another trip to the office and Jerome said he'd call and get things fixed. Well, it's now June 29, and I still ain't heard a word from anyone.

These guys were friendly, professional, and thorough. They cleaned up after themselves and the new roof looks amazing. Highly recommended. 5 out of 5 stars.

An excellent company that does excellent work and is committed to doing their best. Last year Brown & Sons sided our home and this year they redid our front steps with composite wood. Fabulous results! Our home is georgous and many people compliment as they pass by! We highly recommend Brown & Sons! You will appreciate the results and enjoy the experience.

Awesome, Professional, Honest Company. We had a bad leak and in the middle and end of December these hard working guys came out and in the cold snowy weather put on a beautiful roof for us. They were always courteous and explained what was going on from the beginning to end I can't thank them enough for the honesty and great work they did. Please if you need roofing work done Brown and Sons roofing is the way to go Thank you so much🙂

Bottom line up front: I will use this company again for sure. I had a significant roof leak on an aging roof and made some calls. They did a great job on the quote and walked me through the process of getting a new roof. I asked a lot of questions, I'm pretty sure well above the average number they normally get. They handled all of them courteously and with as much detail as I wanted. I never felt pressured at any time to either make a decision on a short timetable or to pick one option over the other. They did a great job presenting the options that would fix my issue and letting me make the decisions. As with getting any roof, you never know the full cost until the tear-off is done. There just is no way to know what is underneath the old roof until it is removed. I knew I had some issues already, as the leak was already taking it's toll. They had a very accurate quote up front and their experience enabled them to give me a heads up on anything they thought might be an issue going into it so I was not caught off guard. They were pretty much dead on, and the one or two things we ran into along the way were handled with care and at a reasonable cost. I did not feel taken advantage of after the roof was removed and the unanticipated problems were discovered. The new roof looks absolutely great! I got a high quality job with high quality materials at a reasonable price. The crew that did my roof was very skilled and were very nice to my wife and children as well. Also, their warranty is for the life of the roof, not 6, 12, or 18 months as I found with most other companies I contacted. This was a major bonus to find out!

I hired Brown & Sons Roofing & Siding Company to fix my roof and siding, which were covered by insurance. They were also supposed to repair one side of my house and install new siding to match the rest of the house, as well as new windows. However, there were several rescheduling and delays before the job was finally completed.

To receive payment from the insurance company, I had to provide various documents, including an invoice. I submitted everything and paid my bill in full. Unfortunately, the insurance company then requested a more detailed itemized invoice before releasing the withheld amount of $2734 for recoverable depreciation. It was a mistake on my part to pay Brown & Sons before finalizing everything with the insurance company.

To make matters worse, the person we had been dealing with, who was a part owner and salesperson, suddenly stopped working there. We had to communicate with other owners who were running the company. Despite making numerous phone calls and sending emails, they ignored or refused to talk to me. The last time I heard from them, one of the owners called me a derogatory term while I was on hold. Since then, they have completely cut off communication with me.

As a result, I am now out $2734.

I asked for a partial refund because I had to have someone else finish the job. I called them two times and never received a call from them. On Sept 23, 2020, I called Brown & Sons Roofing to disconnect a fan in my attic. A young man came out that afternoon and went up on the roof, came back down, and asked if I had a Phillips screwdriver. I gave him one, he went up, and was back down in less than 5 minutes. He said that was easy, he just pulled off the black wire and pulled off the red wire. I asked what I owed him and he told me $250.00. I told him that's a lot of money for 5 minutes' work. He said he would go up and caulk around the chimney and a vent pipe. He did this and I wrote him a check for $250.00. Later that day, a neighbor asked me if he taped the bare wires. I said I didn't think so because he didn't take anything up there except my screwdriver. The next day, I called another roofer and he went up and said no, the wires were bare. He took a picture of them for me and went up and put caps on the wires. The next day, I believe the 25th, I called Brown & Sons and asked for a partial refund because I had to get someone else to finish the job. The man that answered the phone said he would give the message to the boss. I waited two weeks and heard nothing from them, so I called again, explained the story again, and this man said he would give the message to the boss and she would call me. Well, it is now November 17 and I have not heard from them. I did not call them back to cover the bare wires because I didn't think I could trust them, and I am 82 years old and cannot climb on a roof to check. Also, I received a paid copy of my invoice and it said Repair - Wind Dam and Roof repair and disconnect Fan. They did no roof repair and there was no wind damage.
