Bordner customers. Clint, Micah, and David did a great job. They were friendly, helpful and hardworking. Their repair of our flat roof was timely and excellent. The work place was made clean upon completion of the job and we are very pleased with Bordner’s professionalism and customer service. We got several bids and chose Bordner. Troy the sales rep was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain every step prior to the installation. Butch was our window installer of 15 windows and was here for four days. Very friendly and professional. These windows are amazing and so beautiful. We can not feel any heat from the outside or hear any noises we used to experience. I would recommend and I made the right choice choosing Bordner.

I had Bordner replace two windows recently as part of a larger remodel. Although there were supply chain issues, once the windows arrived they were promptly installed. The process was quite easy and the work was completed within a few hours. The workmanship is excellent and they left the project clean. I have used Bordner for a number of window replacements over the past few years and they always do an excellent job. I highly recommend them.

I have used Bordner for a roof repair and several years later a complete roof replacement. In both instances there was no sales pressure and the work was done right the first time and in a timely fashion.Also when my roof repair was done they pointed out that my attic insulation was lacking and provided pictures showing the problem areas. Wish I had known this earlier since it had a significant affect on my heating and cooling bills. All in all a good company to do business with.

I have used Bordner multiple times for window and door replacements, as well as *** siding installation. This recent project was for additional window replacements and a double patio door installation. The crew was professional and courteous. They worked consistently all day and finished this big project in one day. They also took care to leave my house clean and orderly. As always, the product quality was excellent. I look forward to future projects with Bordner!

Do not use this company for roofing specifically if you have steel siding. After spending $22,000 for a new roof I had to pay an additional $2800 to a siding company to repair the extensive damage done by Bordner negating the siding warranty. Bordner refused to pay the damages indicating their warranty was intact. In addition, the roofers were sloppy having to come back more than once to correct obvious errors. Bottom line don't use this company. Poor workmanship and they don't stand behind their work.

From the moment *** came out to bid the job to have our siding redone, to how Proffessional and thorough the workers were who actually were on site daily, taking down and replacing our old siding with *** Board, I felt like I was in Great Hands! In this day and age, customer service is Everything! The team at Bordner went above and beyond my expectations! Plus I Love the gorgeous color, Deep Ocean (dark navy blue) with white trim. A refreshing modern change from white! Its a joy to drive up to my home! Thanks Bordner!

We had Bordner Home Improvement to our house for a roof inspection. *** was very professional and extremely thorough. He explained what he found with iPad photos of our roof. He suggested a course of action that was reasonable and did not try to over sale. He wa even able to find our exact shingles even though the house was 20 plus years old. The work was done a few weeks later over the course of two days . Everything went very smooth and we feel the repairs have added to the value of our home . We would suggest that anyone needing home improvement work to give Bordner a chance to earn your business.

The Bordner team was exemplary in their attention to detail, very professional and proficient. From the moment they arrived, the team split into work groups and got the project under way. The project moved swiftly, with each group firmly executing its duty without distraction. They cleaned up after themselves and worked late to completion. The project manager showed up the next day to assure the job was done to his satisfaction. There was one small run of white caulk that didnt present well and and we were told that it would be remedied with the addition of black caulk. No need to complain, he had identified it and planned the fix. We highly recommend Bordner without hesitation.

Communication with Bordner went smoothly. They explained options available for our new roof so we could make an informed decision on the project. The Bordner representative noted that the insurance adjuster had used an old house aerial picture witch did not show an addition to the house and worked with the adjuster to make corrections to our claim. There were no surprises or additional costs once the adjustments were made. The workers were prompt to arrive and kept us informed of their progress. They cleaned up after themselves each day, and when the project was completed, we had a clean yard. We were completely satisfied with Bordner Home Improvement and would recommend them to others.

Had Bordner do a "Deals in my Backyard" roof checkup. We built a new house and had been worried about a leak we found in the rafter stage that we weren't sure had ever been fixed. There wasn't any leakage in the ceiling, but we didn't know what was going on in the attic. Border inspected the entire roof, paying particular attention to the stack where we thought we might have a problem, and fixed a couple of loose shingles. Our inspector told us that the stack was sealed and had two different kinds of caulk on it, signaling that it had doubtless been done at different times. Very reassuring roof report that has finally set our minds at ease. Professional and courteous, and we are very satisfied.

We used Bordner for a window/siding/roofing repair project that got even more involved as we got into it. They were able to get the exact people we needed to coordinate and accomplish our project. They made very unfortunate house issues as pleasant as possible. Their reputation for doing things right, is why we hired them in the first place, and they delivered. Bryan was our project lead, and he has since followed up several times to make sure all was done to our satisfaction. We have used them at a previous house and now at this house. There is a reason we continue to hire them - professional, knowledgeable workers, excellent warranty and extreme care of our home while doing the projects. We will continue to use them for our home needs. So appreciative of the attention our project received!

I am in the construction business and was originally considering tearing off and replacing my roof myself. I am very particular and doing it myself is my way of insuring that it gets done correctly. But I didn't have the time or enough help. I went with Bordner simply because I witnessed the craftsmanship firsthand when they built my father's house in ***. I had them replace my roof and they were very thorough from start to finish on my project. They addressed all my concerns as I knew my roof would be a challenging one to tackle. My house has many slope changes and siding-to-roof details that have caused leaks in the past. All these areas require careful and (in some places) unique flashing details. I was watching them closely to make sure these areas were done correctly. I was very pleased.

Bordner Roofing customers beware. We had our roof replaced in 2021 and we have 3 huge stains in the past few weeks. Bordner came out and looked at the stains and first told me, it was OUR fault because we were running our furnace humidifier too high, which creates condensation in the attic then it runs down the rafters and soaks through the sheetrock. The inspector said there were definite signs in the attic and that was our problem. After I told him, we don't have a furnace humidifier, the story was the recent snow storm blew snow into our ridge vents and that was the problem. He said they had tons of people with the same problem! Yikes, that doesn't sound good! I said we had ridge vents for 15 years before this new roof and never one leak. He said it wasn't their fault, it wasn't because they did poor work, it was the vent's fault. The vents are smaller than our old vents and obviously not breathing well...and now snow is blowing into them in 3 different places causing leaks/stains. He said the warranty only covered faulty workmanship. I said if it leaks and it didn't for 15 years, something is wrong. He said no, it's not their fault and they won't do a thing. So much for a warranty. Potential customers...beware!

Back in May, we decided to replace the 13 windows on our home with ProVia Endure vinyl. We obtained Border Home Improvement's information on ProVia's website. They are listed as a certified installer. We were less than impressed with the experience and did not choose to contract with Border. Here are the reasons why. First, their sales rep showed up 20 minutes late. He did call to say he was going to be late, but he clearly should have arrived on time. This is the least of the problems, though. Second, he spent a good portion of the sales call bad-mouthing one of the other contractors we were considering. He saw their information on our table. He stated he didn't know if their window work was any good but stated their siding installation was terrible. He claimed they didn't properly install siding on one house which caused water damage to the customer's property. Border had to fix the problem. He also stated on another occasion that the same company left Jame Hardy siding untarped on a customer's property which caused it to become damaged with rain prior to installation, but the company still installed it. Whether the story is true or not is unknown, but the sales rep would have been better off focusing on their skills and products instead of bad-mouthing the competition. I question the truthfulness because the company has zero ComplaintsBoard.com complaints, they have wonderful online reviews, and have been in business since the 70s. Third, the sales rep stated Bordner is the only certified ProVia installer in the Kansas City area. This simply isn't true. This can be verified through ProVia's website and verbally with ProVia customer service. Fourth, the sales rep stated if there was a warranty claim ever made on the windows, Bordner is the only company ProVia works with in the area to fix or replace their windows. This is categorically false. I verified this with ProVia customer service after reading the verbiage in ProVia's warranty agreement which was provided by another contractor. ProVia customer service was alarmed at the false statements and stated they would address this with Bordner directly. Fifth, the sales rep sent us a quote for ProVia Endure windows for almost $18k. We obtained about 4 quotes from certified installers in the area. All of the quotes were $7k to $8k less. This includes the company we contracted with that plan on replacing all our brick mould with PVC vinyl to ward off future wood rot. The quote from this company was $11,200. Bordner just wanted to wrap the brickmould. The other company that wanted to wrap with brickmould came back with a $10.200 quote. Sixth, we told the sales rep that we were refinancing our mortgage for the project through our credit union. He solicited using his wife with Community America stating they don't charge origination fees. Mainstreet charges about $695. According to Community's website, they charge $600. I called to complain about the experience to their customer service manager. She also thought they were the only certified installer in the area but knew they were not the only authorized contractor for repairs or replacements. I referred her to ProVia's website, told her to call their customer service department, and stated I had personally called them and had filed a complaint. I told her they were overpriced and were obviously hoping their customers would be ignorant of pricing or would go with higher pricing based on their sales rep bad-mouthing the competition. The only thing she sincerely apologized for was the rep bad-mouthing the competition. She said that isn't standard practice with their company. She finished with a bleak, "sorry you think we are overpriced". Seriously. . . Total waste of our time.
