Bob Brady Auto Mall / Bob Brady Dodge Salesperson Bob Peoples lies about calling and leaving messages

Called and spoke to Bob Peoples about a Dodge truck that was listed on website. He said he will look at and email us information and call also. Waited until the next day and called and asked where the info is and he said he called and left message and sent email. LIES. This is not the first time he did this. He also did this when Chantell, sales manager, called in Feburary wanting to buy our Dodge truck and get us into a new car with better payment option. He was the salesperson we dealt with and again waiting for him to call with info on the new car. Never did. And the deal we got was not a good deal. Then we left messages for Bob Brady to complain about the salesperson and guess what?

HE NEVER CALLED BACK.

This is bad customer service after buying 2 trucks and 2 cars. Don't know why we called.

I know they won't respond to this.

Going to go to another dealership!

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response.

Bob Brady Auto Mall / Bob Brady Dodge car salesman scam

My Daughter was called by Bob Brady saleswomen Jamie letting her know she was pre approved for $25000 car or truck. My daughter told her she just started a better paying job. She had worked at a government paying job for three years but decided to work for the private sector that paid more money with better benefits . When we arrived Jamie said we will look in to everything that pertains to you. Three hours latter we were told that she had to put down $5000 dollars to get a car or truck. We left at that time and there were three more people yelling out side about the lies they were told by Bob Brady Auto Mall. One of the person came down from Chicago. Now we know why dodge went bankrupt a few years ago. Looks like that may happen. Stay away from Dodge, they and their Dealerships are a scam

Bob Brady Auto Mall / Bob Brady Dodge receptionist for service department

I was having my car assessed and the shop was calling me and I was having difficulty with my cell phone and when tried to answer my phone froze up. So called into Bob Brady main line and this was a woman who answered the phone on 6/16/17 between times 1:00pm-2:00pm and she explained to me she could not transfer my call to the shop because everyone was with guest so she could take my number and have them return my call so I went along with that and left name and number but during trying to leave information she kept asking me to repeat information as if she could not understand seemed to be short with me the guest. So then Bob Brady service department called me back and my phone froze once again so I called from my work phone and asked if I could be transferred to shop and she told me all workers was on the phone lines and she could not transfer my call but she could take a message again being short and snippy I then explained "mam my phone not working and I'm having to use a work phone and I can wait on the line if u just transfer the call so then she transferred me to a phone line that gave me a message machine of someone named Kelly, I then hung up and awaited another call no call ever received so I called back to go through the same situation of the receptionist not wanting to allow me to talk to shop about my vehicle. This experience alone has made me never want to deal with Bob Brady on any level again bottom line is I'm calling about my vehicle I want to know what's going on and what's next step and to have to deal with rude staff and poor customer service is the last thing anyone wants. Hopefully this situation gets resolved cause the first person you come in contact with will affect the outcome for the business.

Bob Brady Auto Mall / Bob Brady Dodge Sales

I was told on 2 different times that I was already approved that I didn't need a down payment or co signer but when I got there I had to wait 4 hours to be told that I needed 1000 down to even get one. I drive 3 hrs there and 3 hrs back 2 times. I don't think they really know what they are talking about and I will never trust them again

Bob Brady Auto Mall / Bob Brady Dodge Dishonest Practise

Wow! Where to start, I was contacted via email in regards to a pre-approved program that I qualified for set up an appt via phone gave her all my informaion prior to coming down and was told that I was pre-approved up to $25K. Made the three hour trip down to decatur illinois only to be told now that I was not qualified? A month later I pulled my credit only to see they pulled my credit FIVE TIMES! When I called the original sales peson Chantell Hilton for an explanation and reason she ignored my call. When I got her manager ANGIE MANNS on the line she was pretty much very rude stated that this is what they do and to get over it! I would of never dealt with them if I I knew that I would of had this type of experience! I ended up going to another dealer and having a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! Avoid this dealership, AVOID THE PRE-APPROVED Program it is a scam and their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!

Paid Commenter with multiple user names (heath2011, Handsome)...whose next ?You can rebuttal me all day but the fact remains the same I know my credit, I read the terms, I was lied to once I got there...went to another dealer...issue resolved. Don't use a mom and pop shop such as Bob Brady use a reputable company with great customer service such as toyota motor credit or lexus!

Mr. Handsome B Wounderful obviously you are hiding your real name for a reason. No I never agreed to the terms and if I was communicated FULLY what my experience would of been I would of NEVER gone to BOB BRADY. Its sad that a dealer can't return calls after, but once a complaint is made they jump on the message board to defend themselves!

Worst place EVER. I would not buy a car from there if it was the last place on earth. They do and say what they have to to get you in to the dealership and then change the story to accomodate themselves.

STAY CLEAR...waste of time and effort. They will treat you like trash.

Bob Brady Auto Mall / Bob Brady Dodge Dishonest company

My 67 year old father traded for a new 2008 Chrysler and about a month after the deal was made they sent him a bill for $724.01. Because they screwed up the payoff on the car that he traded in. He has bought 4 cars from them and this is how they treat him. When I called several time about this the Manager was always out so I called them from the Pilot truck stop across the street and was told that he was still out then I went to the dealership and he was seating in his office. I have bought over 18 car and have never been treated the way they treated My Father. I would not even buy a skateboard from this dealer.

Bob Brady Auto Mall / Bob Brady Dodge Unethical and Dishonest

We purchased a Grand Caravan from Bob Brady at the end of April '08. I should've went with my gut instinct and went elsewhere from the start. We were pressured into the purchase in the first place at an astronomical interest rate and only given 2 vehicles to choose from because of our credit history. We told them a million times that we had no down payment but when we got there they said the bank insisted on a $1500 down payment and they would take 4 separate checks as an "in house" arrangment; then they put paid in cash on the bank contract. Then we were forced to let them install a contraption on the van that you had to enter a code in once a month or it shut the vehicle down. We weren't even given any information or instructions on how to use the device. Then I started receiving letters from lenders denying me credit...over fifteen notices. I never did hear from a bank or get a statement...nothing. After several weeks and a million phone calls, the girl I spoke to M.M. tells me that "everything is fine, you'll hear from the bank any day" only to find out a week later from the finance department that they loan was NEVER approved and we were never notified! They continued running my credit for weeks, without proper authorization, and should have removed that ridiculous contraption weeks ago! Finally, after reassuring me that they had another bank lined up and would take the device off...I thought it was settled. Four days later they called me and told they have to pick the van up and return ours because the didn't get it financed! I contacted an attorney and have excellent grounds for a civil suit, which I will definitely file! We've had this vehicle for over 45 days and now they want it back?! Completely unprofessional, unethical, and dishonest. I hope they lose their license.

I live in Chicago 2-3 hrs drive I receive a call that I was approved that I should come pick out a car that just bring proof of income residence and a utility bill I drove my car 2004 and told them that I did not want to put down no more than 500.00 stated that down payment not required but only got 300 for my car and had give a check for 1000. that would be held but now they cant verity my living arrangements because I don't pay rent or mortgage and the house was in litigation and not in my name now they want to repos the car and revoke registration because s bank finance co cant verify the landlord and that I am squatter I Have lived in my house for 18 years biggest fraud and scam I getting attorney

I purchased a new car and they needed a down payment. They said they would hold the check and not deposit until the end of the next month. Guess what that was a lie and my checks are all bouncing. They want to sell cars and make a buck and will tell you anything. Very disappointed! Shady business practices.

this place is all a bunch od ### and i cant belirve they have been inbusiness for 25 years, they sold my daughter a car and it hjahad a blown head gasket in 6 weeks, they willl fix it or my attorny might hald to get involved. and they tricked us into driving 2 hours to get there by telling her she was approved for 25, 500.-00 and it all changed when we got there! they will lie cheat and kill teir first born to get you to buy a car .

I agree with the scam. I have horriable credit and was told by C.H in the finance dept that with my income I was approved. Just come up and get a car. I live in Saint Louis, MO! So I went up there and guess what I wasnt because of my credit and needing a big down payment but since I was filling bankruptcy come back once I filled and would get a NEW car with zero down. I thought oh cool, new car. So I filled and let my current car go back in the bankruptcy. Drove up there that weekend had everything. I even called the ay before to make sure everything was great. And was told by another person yup everythings great your all approved just come and get a car. Well 3 hours one way up there and them knowing my income the whole time decided that I was no longer quailfed. even though I made 4500 a month! So needless to say after weekly emails from Ch. Hi. about coming up there, repeted phones calls from them I drive 6 hrs roundtrip and drive home empty handed. And I now hear alot more storys just like this. Buyer beware!

ANYONE UP FOR CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT...We were "spot delivered" too. Took the car back & were issued a refund of $700 via our debit card...the refund has yet to show up. What a friggin NIGHTMARE! feebum at gmail dot com

You are one of a long list of people who have been scammed at Bob Brady Auto Mall. What I can't believe is the fact that Decatur, Illinois, is not a huge city (80, 000) population and yet people still walk into the Bob Brady trap every day. People in the Decatur area need to get organized and let the rest of the poor suckers out there know what Bob Brady is all about. Put bumper stickers on your car advising people to not shop at Bob Brady; or put fliers on car windshields at the mall or Walmart stating what tricks they use to steal money, they would really like that. Go to Bob Brady on their busiest day (Saturday morning) and waste their time going on test drives and simply walk away saying you are not interested. As you can tell, I was also a victim of these ### and would love to see them run out of business. Good luck with the law suit, although I doubt you get any where with it. Bob Brady has lawyers to deal with these issues every day; cheating people out of their money is their business.

I truly believe you i truned them in i hope they go out of business i paid cash for my car put a fake title in my name saying i used as a trade in i never did bought off people to lie for them when i took them to court they got that town sold up but they don't got. It sold up with the FBI i truned they [censored] in a long with all my paper work and if we all get together and call the FBI and make complete they will go under investigation i dont no how true this is but i heard the FBI came in and snatched all they paperwork i hope its true and the FBI shuts them down for good lets go in and take them down i am with you 100% they cant keep getting away with this if their any thing i can do contact me at Patriciahayes0@gmail.com be glad to help

Bob Brady Auto Mall / Bob Brady Dodge Terrible company!

Bob Brady Automall in Decatur, Illinois, uses dishonest and flat out sleazy sales tactics that rip off anyone shopping at this dealership. Recently, I purchased a new Hyundai from this dealership on a Friday and promptly received a call the following Monday morning from the salesman. Apparently the finance department made a "MISTAKE" on the sales contract and I owed over $800 to remedy the situation. Well after arguing about this for a couple days to no avail, I said give my old car back and I will go else where. They claimed the car was already sold at an auction and that this would be impossible. They then informed me that their attorney was filing a claim against me for the "MISTAKE" that they made and we had 10 days to pay for their "MISTAKE". Fearing that this would damage my credit rating, I was forced to pay for their "MISTAKE". I have since made it my sworn obligation to warn others about BOB BRADY AUTOMALL in DECATUR, ILLINOIS. I am sorry to say that others have fallen prey to this practice at BOB BRADY AUTOMALL in DECATUR, ILLINOIS, and other sleazy tactics such as BAIT AND SWITCH. BE FORWARNED TO AVOID BOB BRADY AUTOMALL IN DECATUR, ILLINOIS. DRIVE AN EXTRA 50 MILES TO DEALERSHIPS IN SPRINGFIELD, CHAMPAIGN, OR BLOOMINGTON, ILLINOIS. You can thank me later.
