We have used Blacklane a number of times over the past few years, especially for rides to and from the airport. For the most part, things have gone well enough that I never felt the need to share a review and often recommend them to other people. Until now.

We booked the service for pick up on a Sunday at 6 am to take us to the airport. We generally get a notification around 10-15 minutes early that the car is there. This time, however, there was no notification but we received the name and number of the driver, so we called him.

He was still asleep. When someone answers a call when they are asleep you can tell. He literally said to us, "I just need to get dressed and I can be out the door in a like 10-15 minutes." We told him that our pick-up time was 6 am and it was 5:55 am. He said, "I can be to you in like 8-10 minutes. I'm in Niles." Niles is at least 15 minutes from our house (At that time it was 17 minutes) and can you dress and drive 15 minutes in 8-10 minutes? That would be impressive, but would still make you late. Which would make us late. That's why we booked the service for 6 am and not 6:30 am.

We canceled our ride and ordered a Lyft (which was the opposite of what we wanted to do and why we ordered the service to begin with). Today we contacted Blacklane for a refund because they charged us even though they didn't do anything. We were told they could only refund 60% because we canceled within the hour of pick up. We did. We did cancel because your driver was still in bed and if we waited for him, we'd miss our flight. But yes, next time we'll wait for your guy to get out of bed and drive to us when he feels like it. The audacity of this company to then tell us that the driver was in front of our house at 5:54 am and we weren't there - I don't even know what to say. They then told us they would not refund anything because our driver was in front of the house when we canceled. WHY would we cancel if they were in front of our house? Why would I pay for a Lyft if we were already going to be charged by Blacklane? Someone, please help me make sense of this.

Your driver is a liar and the fact that you are refusing to take any accountability for this mess is just mind-blowing. The response should have been, we are so sorry that our driver did not arrive at the scheduled time. We will provide a full refund and thank you so much for being a loyal customer. I see you have another scheduled ride next weekend, we'll see you then.

But it wasn't.

Blacklane is a ride-hailing service that I recently tried out. I gotta say, it's pretty fancy. They got black cars and stuff, which is pretty cool. They say they're better than Uber, but I don't know about that. They do have some differences though.

One thing I noticed is that they don't have their own drivers. Instead, they use Uber drivers to fulfill their requests. I guess that's kinda smart, since they don't have to worry about hiring and training their own drivers. But it also means that you're not really getting anything different from what you'd get with Uber.

Another thing I noticed is that they charge you a black car rate. I guess that's why they call themselves Blacklane. But honestly, I don't really see the point. It's not like the car is any different from an Uber Black or a Lyft Lux. I guess it's just a branding thing.

One thing that is kinda cool is that they auction off their rides to drivers. I guess that means that drivers can get a better rate than they would with Uber. But I don't really know how that works. I just know that it's supposed to be cheaper than Uber rates.

Overall, I think Blacklane is a decent option if you want something a little fancier than Uber. But it's not really that different, and it's definitely not worth paying extra for. If you're looking for a ride-hailing service, I'd say just stick with Uber or Lyft.

I had a really bad experience with Blacklane. They left me stranded at the airport after a super long flight from overseas. It was a total nightmare. And to make matters worse, when I tried to dispute the charge with American Express, they straight up lied to them. I couldn't believe it. I would definitely recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

It was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and I would not recommend using this service.

Overall, my experience with Blacklane was not a positive one. While their ads may be enticing, their lack of reliability and customer service make them a poor choice for anyone in need of transportation. I would advise looking elsewhere for a more dependable and caring car service.

But guess what? No ride. We were left stranded, just me and my daughter, in the middle of the night. And get this - the reason our ride didn't show up was because our flight had been diverted, and Blacklane didn't even bother to check the flight information I had given them when I booked the ride. So, we were delayed, and they just left us hanging.

But wait, it gets worse. Even though they didn't provide the service they promised, they still charged me the full amount. Can you believe that? It's like they don't even care about their customers. And now, I'm still trying to get my money back. I had to spend even more money to get a replacement service, which was a huge hassle.

So, let me just say this - do NOT use Blacklane. They are a terrible company with no regard for their customers. Save yourself the trouble and find a different ride service.

I recently had a terrible experience with #Blaclane. I had booked a ride for my son from Victoria to Vancouver airport for which I paid a hefty sum of 345 dollars. However, just two hours before the scheduled pick-up time, they called to cancel the ride. This left my son stranded on the other side of the world and caused a lot of stress for me as a mother. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service provided by Blacklane.

What made matters worse was that they did not inform us earlier about the cancellation. If they had informed us even a day or two before, we could have made alternative arrangements. But they waited until the last minute to make the decision and did not even bother to return our money. This is unacceptable behavior from a company that claims to provide reliable transportation services.

I believe that Blacklane is an unreliable company that cannot be trusted. They have failed to live up to their promises and have caused a lot of inconvenience to their customers. As a result, I would strongly advise against using their services.

In my opinion, this firm is a disgrace to the German reputation. They have let down their customers and have shown a lack of professionalism and responsibility. I hope that they take this feedback seriously and work towards improving their services in the future. Until then, I will not be using Blacklane and would advise others to do the same.

This company is a no-go! Our experience was terrible. We were supposed to be met by a driver holding a sign with our name on it at the train station. We had to ask a gentleman who worked at the station to call the driver, who was parked in the taxi line because it's cheaper than parking in the designated area for concierge pick-up. After running around Saint Pancras, the driver finally showed up from an unknown location and parked in the street to load our luggage. He started to load our bags but then stopped, pulled my bag back out, and said we had too many bags (even though we had told them we had four bags before being picked up). He left us and our luggage in the middle of the street for over 30 minutes, saying he needed approval for the bags. He just casually pulled up in the road and left us there without saying anything. I only needed a ride 10 minutes away. Even the other taxi drivers thought it was unprofessional and a joke. We tried to get our 62.39? back from Blacklane, but they refused to refund our money and said the driver couldn't find us. Jokes on them because I have photos of the taxi and the plate. If you're reading this review and are in or going to London, the black cab service is great. They drove us and our four bags with no hassle for 18? through the Gett app. Don't waste the extra money on Blacklane. All the other bad reviews online are probably true because this is the absolute worst overcharged cab experience using Blacklane out of the 100+ taxis I've used. I will repost this review all over the internet warning people of this scam!
