The security on the wallet itself is garbage but that's not the worst part. The app is more of an advertising forum for the app developer to get paid than anything else. I get it, developers need to be paid, but this is ridiculous.
Their faucet is a scam. You have to solve a captcha to get the trickle of btc. You solve the captcha and get a couple satachi and the developer gets paid for you solving the captcha. That's how bitcoin faucets work. But this one says payments to your region are maxed out, after you solve the captcha. But the developer still gets paid. I call shenanigans.
The rest of the site is year old blogs or someone trying to sell you something. Whoever wrote the blogs wouldn't pass a freshman English comp course at a community college. Really, it's embarrassing. This app is a joke.

TL;DR: This app is designed to mislead people into buying Bitcoin Cash (the coin this wallet owns) not the real Bitcoin you want.

This app claims to be a Bitcoin wallet, but by default it is set to be a Bitcoin Cash wallet which is not in anyway related to the actual Bitcoin you are wanting. Bitcoin Cash (better known as BCash (a term popularized by Roger Ver)) is a completely different coin worth much less in value and is rumored to be a pump and dump scam run by its creators.

If you are wanting to buy Bitcoin easily, I recommend the Coinbase app, or Binance app hear on the App Store. If you so choose you can even buy BCash on those apps too, but it would not be recommended as when regulation comes into this space you will likely end up being a bag holder like the people that got scammed in Bitconnect.

TO ANYONE NEW TO THIS APP MAKE SURE YOU BUY ENOUGH BITCOIN TO COVER THE RIDICULOUS FEES THEY CHARGE TO SEND IT!

Here’s what happened to me:
I wanted to make an online purchase that would cost me $25 in bitcoin. I first bought the $25 worth of bitcoin using this app to buy something online thinking it would be enough and I was charged a $5 fee to do this. Prior to this I did not know about the $5 fee they also charge out of your wallet to send the bitcoin! Because of this only about $20 of the $25 I needed to pay was covered, so I needed to buy some more bitcoin. The app allows a minimum purchase of $20 of bitcoins even though I only needed $5 to cover the rest of my purchase. I purchased the $20 and again a $5 fee was charged. I then sent the rest of the bitcoin needed to complete the purchase resulting in yet another unreasonable fee.

Overall spent around $20 on fees just to make a $25 purchase! What a scam.

This app makes crypto incredibly easy…especially for bulky transactions and also has great customer service..I will continue to make quality use of this app,thumbs up! I lost my bitcoin to fake blockchain impostors on Facebook, they contacted me as blockchain official support and i fell stupidly for their mischievous act, this made them gain access into my blockchain wallet whereby 7.0938 btc was stolen from my wallet in total .I was almost in a comma and dumbfounded because this was all my savings i relied on . Then I did some research online and found a recovery expert , with the contact address- Hackermanisoc (@) gmailcom. I wrote directly to the specialist explaining my loss. Hence, he helped me recover my bitcoin just after 2 days. He helped me launch the recovery program , and the culprits were identified as well , all thanks to his expertise . I hope I have been able to help someone as well . Reach out to the recovery specialist to recover your lost funds from any form of online scam.

Ignore the one star reviews. They are from “BTC Maximalists” who favor centralized control over free markets. Bitcoin.com is run by Roger Ver, “Bitcoin Jesus”, who has probably done more for bitcoin for almost a decade than anyone else.

Bitcoin forked into BTC, BCH and some other smaller chains due to different philosophies about what bitcoin should be and who should be able to make that determination. Many people like Roger believe that bitcoin was meant to be used as cash - because the original Satoshi Nakamoto white paper was called “peer to peer electronic CASH”. That’s the vision of Bitcoin Cash. It doesn’t make it a scam, as the one star reviewers would have you believe.

The BTC fork of bitcoin ignores things Satoshi himself said about scaling bitcoin, in favor of proprietary “second layer” scaling software that makes bitcoin like traditional banking. Can’t go into more detail here but it’s an interesting history.

What’s more, BCH fees are less than a penny. BTC fees can get VERY expensive when the network is busy.

I will continue to pester the App Store and Bitcoin.com developers to make this either a “Bitcoin Cash” Wallet by name or to make it so a real Bitcoin wallet is given you by default. Again, regardless of how hard you try to misinform, Bitcoin Cash will never be Bitcoin, and “Bitcoin Core” is an implementation not a currency. This is literally fraud and the App Store staff should be more cautious about interacting with your app and developers. THIS CAN, DOES, and WILL LEAD TO LOST FUNDS. @Appstorestaff, talk to these people!

UPDATE: All the devs will say is that these are “groundless accusations” because they know that I am correct. If we call Bitcoin “Bitcoin Core” we have to call Bcash “Bitcoin ABC.” Bitcoin Core is not and never will be nomenclature for the currency. I will continue to report you to the App Store for fraud until the name is changed ! :)

UPDATE2: Bcash isn’t Bitcoin. Bitcoin isn’t Bitcoin Core. This app is fraudulent until it regards the currencies by their correct nomenclature. Reported, reported and reported again! Cmon @Appstore! Take this scammers off here :)

Roger Ver, the creator of Bcash (Bitcoin Cash, BCH), wants you to buy Bcash instead of Bitcoin.

Bcash is not Bitcoin. BCH is not BTC.

Please understand that the creator of this app and the owner of Bitcoin dot com is trying to trick you into buying BCH instead of Bitcoin. True Bitcoin has the ticker symbol BTC, not BCH.

Do your research, there are much better wallet apps than this. Although using a cryptocurrency wallet app on your phone is insecure, and you shouldn’t do it except for small amounts. If you do want to use or require a wallet app on your phone, just don’t pick this one. There are many scammy or insecure wallet apps, so make sure you pick a good one. I won’t shill you another wallet app, as that’s not my goal. Just stay from this scam, seriously.

Also, there are much cheaper ways to buy Bitcoin. The Cash App from Square currently has one of the lowest % fees for buying Bitcoin, although it is not a “wallet.” Cash App is a fiat mobile payments app like Venmo that also lets you buy and withdraw Bitcoin, and only Bitcoin. No scam cryptocurrencies to confuse you!

They utilize a third party for BTC and BCH transactions: MoonPay, which steals and scams money from you and will never give you the money back if transactions go wrong on their end!

I purchased BCH and they lied, saying the transaction declined even though my bank said the payment POSTED from my account, which means the money was sent to them, and they KEPT it permanently, never returned it! I contacted MoonPay customer support, who verified through the blockchain that they received the money, and said the crypto was on the way to my wallet, but still gave me no crypto nor a refund. They kept lying using generic responses and ignored any further responsibility to get me my crypto or a refund when I would do follow ups with my issue!

My bank told me MoonPay is a black listed company who does this often and anyone using them as third party support should not be trusted. The price of my crypto I should have received has more than doubled now and they stole my money. I’ve contacted Bitcoin.com support as well and have heard nothing back. It is such a scam on both fronts!

Don’t waste your time and more importantly your money. Don’t let that dot com fool you into thinking they are legitimate with the way they let such bad stuff happen to people with no resolution! MoonPay support is around the Indian Ocean, they don’t care about their customers!

It is very well established that the name “bitcoin” refers to BTC not “bitcoin cash” BCH. This wallet is very deceiving because the default is wallet is BCH not BTC. This could cause individuals new to bitcoin (BTC) to get confused and send money to the wrong kind of wallet. In addition there is a fork version of bitcoin (BTC) that is actually called “bitcoin core” (BTCC). All of this is extremely confusing and the owners of this app appear to be purposefully deceitful to take advantage of the brand name of bitcoin. For these reasons I would suggest that this app be removed from the App Store.

Beware of this scammy wallet. They removed Bitcoin and offer only BCash -> BitcoinCash as default.

I recommend using great BreadWallet or amazing multi currency wallets like Coinomi or Enjin Wallet.

Edit for a developer-> You know very well there is no Bitcoin Core, just Bitcoin. Your scammy fork is called BitcoinCash aka BCash aka BitCash tries to mislead people into buying BCash/Bitcash aka BitcoinCash.

Again: This is NOT a BITCOIN wallet, its BCash/BitCash aka BitcoinCash wallet, which is just another altcoin like BitcoinGold, BitcoinPrivate,BitcoinDiamond, BitcoinDark and many other.

Caution to anyone new to the space looking to get started and thinking this wallet will be an honest, safe and secure way to store their Bitcoin will be unfortunately tricked by Bitcoin.com, a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) focused company, and not the Bitcoin (BTC) most people know and are searching for. They try and sell Bitcoin Cash as Bitcoin, keeping it as the first option and “recommended” currency to use. BE AWARE of what you are buying before you buy it, and in my opinion, use a different, unbiased wallet to avoid confusion and straight up fraud. Other apps suggested are Samurai Wallet for Android users and Bread Wallet for IOS.

The developer, plus it’s processor (Moonpay, Simplex, or CEX.io) collect their fees first. Next you’re charged a network fee that is supposed to be commensurate with the selected priority level. Hence a normal priority transaction will include a fee that’s competitive enough to get s Bitcoin transaction confirmed on the blockchain - except when it doesn’t. Then poof, like Houdini, it’s gone.

What does support say? “Oh sorry it’s not it’s our problem, check the mempool.” Blah, blah.

Literally, no recourse. They do nothing but take your money and provide no service at all. It should be banned from the App Store as it literally does nothing.

Sure, this Bitcoin wallet will work for both Bitcoin and BCH but the reason why a lot of Bitcoin supporters are upset about this wallet app is that the faces of BCH (Roger Ver and Jihan Wu) are in it simply to profit. Read up about Jihan Wu's main reasons for creating BCH (it's because he wanted to continue using an exploit to his advantage) and Roger Ver's shady history. Actual Bitcoin does not have a face because its talented developers are not primarily interested in profiting; they are interested in creating world changing technology. Either way, be sure to do your own research about the two opposing sides before you invest in any flavor of Bitcoin.

So the app wont open right, they made me register an email, verification process name etc etc, so i bought bitcoin then after like 30 minutes i got it, so the app now crashes and theres no way it will open, tried 20x ans still wont open, me thinking that my email and verification thing will save my bitcoin on my wallet i uninstalled it, re installed it and then oops its all 0. Asking u right after u open the app to buy bitcoin, no log in no nothing, then talked to agent named MATTHEW AND ALL HE WAS SAYING is if you dont have the 12 word phrase your money is gone. Gone . Gone. Didnt help at all just said its gone no way to recover no nothing. Thats it. Gone.

Roger Ver was a millionaire before bitcoin so he’s smarter than you. If you’re looking for bitcoin, look somewhere else. If you want a coin with fast transactions and low fees, litecoin is the answer. Roger and his team are taking advantage of people as crypto becomes more mainstream. His goal is to get rich by deceiving newcomers into thinking bcash is bitcoin. A quick search on the web will show you that Roger is a loser, he has no class and thinks he is better than just about everyone in the space because he has money. He has nothing to contribute to this community. Roger is taking advantage of this community for his own personal gain, do not buy into his shills.

DO NOT PAY ANYTHING. They offer no real support to new users and if you buy bitcoin and it doesn’t show up in your wallet, they tell you to contact supper of their third party buyer (simplex). When Simplex demonstrates the coins were purchase they say there’s nothing left they can to and to contact BITCOIN support, who will give you a link to the wallet where the money IS, but it is a wallet that is not yours.

It is a SCAM. They will steal your money and not give any help or direction to get it into YOUR wallet

The response from Bitcoin: “sorry to hear about your loss but there is nothing we can do...transactions are irreversible “

This was a transaction done THROUGH Bitcoin.

Do not use, would not recommend to my worst enemy. They say it usually takes 30-2 hours but on rare occasions may take 10 hours. That is a lie the norm is 10 hours plus.

However they make sure to remove the money from your bank account immediately of course. When you contact customer support they claim it’s because it is your first transaction. This again is a lie I’ve done 3 bitcoin transactions with them without fail takes upward of 10 hours.

This is the only place I’ve tried to buy bitcoin that takes this long haven’t even had any other company take half as long as they do.

If you want to have no idea where your money is and deal with nonexistent lying customer service go ahead, as for me I am never using their platform again.

This app is highly deceptive. It guides the user into buying Bitcoin Cash over the real Bitcoin. With the amount of green on this app, it’s pretty obvious that this was a bad download from the beginning. Bitcoin cash is trash. That’s why nobody uses it.
DO NOT TRUST THIS WALLET OR WEBSITE. Bitcoin on this app has higher fees, uses an older form of bitcoin when there are much more effective versions of it and again, it’s guiding and not straight forward on how to buy the real bitcoin. There are better places to educate yourself on bitcoin and also the best place to buy Bitcoin is on Cash App. Look it up and enjoy finally buying REAL bitcoin. Don’t be tricked! There are many scams and angry bag holders trying to dump their alt coins on the next sucker.

You can never connect to your wallet. Says network error despite being connected. Tech support is non existent. They don't have notifications that their bitcoin wallet network is down. Which is pretty much always!

Do you want to buy bitcoin via credit card? Good luck they'll send you a verification email. So you exit the app. You verify. You go back into the app. Where you left off? Gone! Now let's start the process over. Now let's go to buy bitcoin. Because hey! I just verified! Well now you have to verify email.

These are issues apps had when smartphones first launched. You think they would have figured this crap out by now. Buying bitcoin should be as simple as PayPal. Password, verify, confirm address. And get bitcoin! All the apps make it impossible.

Yesterday I clicked on receive. I used an atm and verified the address. The $200 has yet to show up. I contacted them, and they kept saying things were not their fault when all I asked was if there was a problem with the wallet. After threatening to go to the FBI I was finally asked for my wallet. I was told 3-4 confirmations had taken place but it would show on the app until 8-12 (weird it wouldn't say pending). After 24 hrs it hasn't shown and they won't answer me now. I am reporting the thief. Anyone else screws over file a complaint with econsumer.gov as they handle all cyber fraud complaints. They give the information to the proper agency to pursue it. The more people file the more likely the government will step in to right our wrongs. Let's send these ruskie thieves to prison!
