This whole BILT 2.0 has been a disaster.
I signed into my account to pay rent. I was immediately prompted to choose a new BILT card.
I chose the one with the 99$ annual fee, and 1.25x points for rent. I filled out all my information - annual income and everything and received a prompt saying they will confirm my new card with me upon review. Never heard anything since.
Yesterday I received an email stating my BILT card will now be a WELLS FARGO card because I didn't submit my application on time.
This is a system error as I chose and submitted for a new card the day I signed in to pay rent.
I DO NOT want a hard credit inquiry when this is a BILT issue and not a me issue.
Additionally, the original emails never stated that I would have to reapply for a card. That wasn't made clear until a text from the night before was received - 1 hr at 16 minutes before the window closed. at 10:44pm when I was already asleep.
I woke up the next morning, signed into my account, received the above mentioned prompt, and then waited as instructed. And now I dont know what is going on with my account or how to fix this issue.
I DO NOT WANT A WELLS FARGO CARD I ONLY WANT BUILT.
I did what I was told to do.
the system did not clock it right.
And I can't even make a phone call to fix this. Please Advise
I will be following up with the consumer financial protection bureau about this.
Desired outcome: I want a BILT 2.0 card as promised without a hard credit inquiry and do not want to be responsible for whatever "wells fargo" card they are sending me that I DONT EVEN WANT AND NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG.
