Beverly Hills Puppies Purchasing a sick dog from beverly hills puppies

I purchased a 2nd dog from Martin on Feb 12, 2023. We did health checks 48 hours after getting the puppy and he was positive for Giardia which spread to my other 2 other french bulldogs. 4 days after the puppy arrived one of my older dogs came down with Parvo- the vet said the puppy was likely shedding the virus still. A few months later we found out the puppy has Brucella which is a CDC reportable infectious disease and it has already spread to 1 of my other dogs. I am now stuck with huge medical bills over 5k and a costly $100 a month antibiotic for both dogs ($200) with the disease. Their claims on the website "health guarantee" is not true. They ignored my emails and ghosted me. Im sure my 3rd dog will catch it because its near impossible to quarrantine in the same house/yard/living space. I just hope myself, my husband, and my son don't catch Brucella. I am consulting with an attorney because nobody should have to endure this ever again. Shame on you Martin for selling us a sick dog!

Desired outcome: Id like the breeder to pay for the monthly antibiotics needed. And if my 3rd frenchie catches it I want them to pay for her treatments as well.

Beverly Hills Puppies 2 puppies

We purchased 2 frenchies from Beverly Hills Puppies at the same time, one of the puppies was diagnosed with epilepsy by 10 months old & the other had cancerous tumor encapsulating his kidney by age 4, we were devestated & spent thousands of dollars to give them the best quality of life possible. Our epileptic boy died at age 5 1/2 yrs, & the one with cancer barely made it to 6 yrs. This is not how it should be, this company should never be allowed to sell or breed any animals, animal control should step in a.s.a.p. Too many of these aweful stories coming from this company.

Beverly Hills Puppies English bulldog purchased April 2015

Scammers BEWARE! I bought a English bulldog puppy that I THOUGHT was healthy and happy until I discovered he had serious GENETIC bladder stones that were passed down by his mother! I had to spend $3, 000 in surgery and more in testing! I contacted the owners of Beverly Hills puppies in Miami Fl who I purchased him from and they told me "send us a copy of the report for the vet and we will send it to our vet and get an answer for you" they have been avoiding me for 3 weeks and today blocked my number! I called them on another phone and they told me to get my attorney involved and hung up on me! I have called the AKC and filed a report against them as well as taking legal action. If your purchased an English bulldog from them last year please look into getting an x-Ray or checking signs of blader stones! The other puppies in his litter were also male which get this stone much worse then females! I remember two of his brothers were a fawn brindle color

We did not sell a puppy to Mr. Michael Maida. We have had no sale conversations with Mr. Maida. Mr. Maida did not pay us any money for a puppy. We did not have verbal or written contract with Mr. Maida. The first and only conversation that we had with Mr. Maida was last week when he called us. We were at our kennel and the telephone conversation was cut off. Mr. Maida is misdirecting his claim by contacting us for the alleged parvo case of his puppy.

As breeders we sell retail and wholesale. All of the puppies that we sell, as required by Florida law are examined by a licensed veterinarian and certified by a health certificate indicating that the puppy is fit to be sold. All of our puppies are vaccinated against PARVO. There is a possibility that we may have sold a puppy wholesale and then the puppy was re-sold to Mr. Maida. If this is the case Mr. Maida should contact the firm that sold him the puppy.

With respect to the Parvo, if the puppy Mr. Maida received is a puppy from us and the puppy had PARVO all of our other puppies we have had PARVO. We have not had any cases of PARVO for years. We repeat all of our other puppies have not had Parvo and have not been ill.

From our years of experience in the industry, there are a good portion of veterinarians that immediately indicate that a puppy has parvo when there is vomiting or diarrhea or blood in the stool. In some cases there is parvo but in other cases the veterinarians tend to abuse of the situation as a result of charging excessive money for treating the puppy. Since the owner does not know better and because the puppy is sick the owner is forced to pay the excessive veterinarian costs.

In summation, we are not directly responsible for any alleged illness to a puppy that we did not sell to Mr. Maida.

Beverly Hills Puppies HORRIBLE PEOPLE..VERY SICK DOGS

NIGHTMARE! On Tuesday, Aug 14, 2012, We pick up our English Bulldog puppy from Newark airport. Adorable little guy. My daughters birthday present. We just fell in love immediately. The next morning we took him to the vet for a well check-up and he seemed to be acting weak and tired. (we figured it was just from the flight) . That evening he started VOMITING and he had bad DIARRHEA. We Immediately took him back again in the morning and the doc gave him fluids and medicine..That very next morning, he was progressively getting worse. He was LETHARGIC.. and slipping into a COMA. We rushed him to Red Back Hospital. At this point the Doctor examined him and he was tested..He was POSITIVE FOR THE PARVO VIRUS..She didn't expect him to make it through the night...Well it was just a nightmare..We had to say our goodbye's because he was going into isolation, and we were not sure we were ever going to see him again...telling my daughter was so so hard..The doctor told me that the PARVO virus has a 5-10 incubation period so this was definitely contracted in Florida..and that I should immediately contact the breeder because his litter buddies definitely have it...and this pet is UNFIT FOR SALE!.. so at this point I thought I bought my puppy from THEBULLDOGBREEDER.COM...but to my surprise, when I contacted LUIS ARROYANE (THEBULLDOGBREEDER.COM) He said he has to call him and get back to me! I asked, "who's him?" He wouldn't tell me...Well calling and calling hundreds of times and getting NOWHERE..i finally find out the him is MARTIN ROY LEON...WTF...I thought i was doing business with LUIS ARROYANE ..THEBULLDOGBREEDER.COM...Well I wasn't! This son of a ### got my puppy from a puppy mill...i was sick to my stomach when i did the research on this LOWLIFE CREEP...I than decided to take the crate that he was shipped to me in to the vet...they took it and the crate as well tested POSITIVE FOR THE PARVO VIRUS...Now my medical bills in the first vet were about $450.00 and $175.00 to test the crate...Now comes the hospital bill...$2, 476.00! Now what? LUIS TOLD ME TO TALK TO MARTIN MYSELF...When i call him he said yes it was his puppy and that he didn't do business with me...so i have to call LUIS.. This went back and forth for 2 weeks...COLD, NASTY ARROGANT SON OF A ###...I honestly cannot understand how they are getting away with this...Well with all our prayers..our puppy came home 2 days ago...He is alive only from out immediate actions...otherwise, my little girl would have woken up to a dead puppy...I HAVE 2 DOCTORS LETTERS AND A CRATE THAT TESTED POSITIVE FOR THE PARVO VIRUS..AND THEY STILL WILL NOT RESPOND TO ME OR HELP ME...MARTIN ROY LEON pretended to have a bad connection the last we spoke...LUIS ARROYANE TOLD ME THAT HE COULD REFUND 1/2 THE COST OF THE PUPPY.. AND THATS IT! I TOLD HIM I WOULD RETAIN AN ATTORNEY AND HIS RESPONSE WAS, ' GO AHEAD...BY TIME YOU DO THAT AND FLY DOWN HERE IT WILL COST YOU MORE"...MY DOG WILL HAVE LONG TERM MEDICAL PROBLEMS...I HOPE THIS LETTER HELPS SOMEONE OUT THERE...DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE HEARTLESS PEOPLE...BTW...I PLAN ON CONTACTING EVERY AGENCY POSSIBLE AND ANIMAL CARE CONTROL...BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU...FBI...AKC...FLORIDA DEPT.OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES...BUREAU OF ANIMAL DISEASE CONTROL..AND THE NEWS PAPER...I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THEY DO WHAT THE LAW STATES...OH AND BTW...THEY ARE NOT AKC...THATS RIGHT ...NOT AKC...NO PAPERS! DADE COUNTY POLICE WERE INFORMED AS WELL.. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!

Beverly Hills Puppies sick puppy

We purchased a puppy from Beverly Hills Puppies almost a yr ago. right off the bat we knew there was something wrong. he was sick and the vet said it probably is from the vaccines he had. the next 4 months there was nothing but problems. our puppy had pneumonia 3 times. we spent well over $2, 000 on vet bills and his meds. we used up our $1, 000 warrenty. I wrote a complaint on his website warning people about him. we wanted to get money from him since we spent well over what the warrenty was. he told us that he would give us money if we took the complaint of the website. he gave us $300. at 6 months old he had pneumonia again and the vet said he would always have pneumonia and so we came to a conclusion that we did not want him to suffer anymore. we had to put our 6 month old puppy to sleep. it was the hardest thing i have ever done in my life. the vet had told us his trachea was the size of a cats and he was almost 40lbs. also he had a blue eye and after do research we found out that the trait of the blue eye is deafness. out puppy was deaf. after having to put our puppy down we called Martin and he told us to get a letter from the vet and send to him. once he got the letter he said that we can pick another puppy from his website and it would be free. so we did. in august we recieved our second puppy from Martin and he was a lot smaller then our last one. right now our puppy is 1 yr old and is very healthy. we have only taken him to the vet for his shots and nothing else. i am greatful that hes heathly but i DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GET A PUPPY FROM MARTIN! there is a picture of our last puppy with the blue eye and a picture of our new one. if anyone would like to email me its [protected]@yahoo.com to try and put Martin out of business

Beverly Hills Puppies Bulldog Puppies (French and English)

BEWARE: Anyone who is considering purchasing a puppy from Beverly Hills Puppies and Martin Roy Leon beware. This place is a puppy mill. I purchased from them previously and they sent me the wrong puppy which was sick when it arrived. When the right puppy arrived, he was also sick. I received 2 emails (the latest and my response is below) from Mr. Leon looking for available French Bulldog puppies. Clearly, this was intended for someone else but as is evident from the email, they do not breed or raise any of their puppies but obtain them from other breeders or puppy mills. See below:

From: Linda L. Demacy

Subject: RE: French bulldogs

Martin:

My family and I are quite well thank you. However, I believe you should have sent this to someone else. Apparently from your previous email, you are looking now for French Bulldogs to add to your “puppy mill”. In case you have forgotten, I am one of the thousands of people who purchased a sick English Bulldog puppy from you which you refused to make good on, you not only sent us the wrong puppy that was sick and I had to spend money to get him well in order to return him, I also had to spend thousands of dollars in vet bills to get the right puppy along my other 3 dogs well. Thank you so much for that. If you think I would ever recommend you or Beverly Hills Puppies to anyone for the purchase of a puppy you have got to be out of your mind. I do want to thank you for the 2 emails as this proves what I and a lot of other people have thought, you clearly are a puppy mill!

Linda,

Hope that all is well with you and your family. Did you receive my email of two days ago:

"Just checking to see what puppies you might have available in the next 30 days.

Also, please send me the name of the food that you are feeding your puppies. If my recollection is correct, you are not using a brand food. Where do you purchase your food?"

I would highly recommend not purchasing from Beverly Hills Puppies, Inc. Based on my experience alone with Mr. Leon, in addition to paying $1800 for the dog, I also incurred an additional $1800.00 in vet bills to nuture the animal back to health. There are many reputable breeders out there so please do your research before purchasing!

Mr. Leon's contentions that he has no idea who I am is completely false. If Mr. Leon checked his records, he would see that I purchased one of his puppies and he would also see the numerous complaints that were lodged with him. He is very good at pointing fingers and lying but as you can see, he clearly sent this email to the wrong person. Everyone considering purchasing from Beverly Hills Puppies, Inc. in Florida BEWARE!

I purchased a Bull Terrier from BHP and she is 5 years old today. About 2 months after we had her, she contracted mange, which was VERY costly to fix. After doing research, I found it is passed on to puppies through the mothers milk and that this breed is prone to mange. After 3 months of having to deal with vet visits, many different medications and a lot of money she was cured. We love our dog and feel blessed that she is in our lives, but I fear if anyone that doesn't have the money or time to help the dog through this process would have given up and disposed of it...it was extremely costly! As much as we love our dog and the breed, we would not purchase from here again. I would do much better research and demand to meet the mother and father of the pup prior to purchase. I can't state on the fact that this is a mill, because we met Mr. Leon at his house to view only the one puppy i had picked out online. He was very kind and the transaction went well. It's not his fault that our dog contracted mange, but I am curious as to where all the puppies that i see online are housed? I may have thought twice had i seen that vision.

How can one person guarantree a puppy's health? Thats like blaming a doctor for a baby born with a disease. It happens. Dogs get sick I highly doubt that this operation would be still in operation today if it were so bad. And who's gonna write a good review. if someone does receive a good puppy there so happy its not sick after reading all of your ### ones that they forget to write a review. there's no way he would still be in business. My dog is on its way and i have done weeks of research. Im confident ill recieve a great pup!

Wow, these days anybody can post a complaint. It does not matter if it is true or not. This is totally incredible. My wife and I have purchased two puppies from Martin and Gloria. They are very decent and honest people. They are the best! I have seen their operation and have been to their home. They know a lot about puppies and they treat their puppies excellent. I very highly recommend Martin and Gloria.

Martin, I agree with you. Since you are looking for dogs to sell, you must be a broker. One of those who encourages puppy mills to operate. Shame on you! Get a real life and a real job. One that doesn't encourage animal cruelty or place one of your sickly animals with an unsuspecting buyer.

Puppy Mills
By Martin Roy Leon, B.S.L., J.D., LL.M

Definition

There is no legal definition of the term “puppy mill.” However, it can be described as a large-scale commercial dog breeding operation where profit is given a higher priority than the well-being of the dogs. The health of the dogs is disregarded in order to maintain a low overhead and maximize profits. Veterinary care, nutrition, socialization, integrity of the breed/breed standard and sanitation are substandard in comparison to responsible breeders, who place the utmost importance on these aspects of husbandry. Illness, diseases, fearful behavior, and lack of socialization with humans and other animals are not uncommon characteristics of dogs from puppy mills. Breeding is performed without consideration for maintenance of genetic quality/breed standards, resulting in the passage of hereditary conditions and diseases from generation to generation. Female dogs are bred at every opportunity with little to no recovery time between litters, until they are no longer physically able to reproduce. Puppies are typically sold through pet shops and marketed as young as 8 weeks of age. The accuracy of their pedigree and purebred status is sometimes questionable (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

Conditions inside puppy mills have been documented for decades, with some of the most appalling scenes including dogs that are emaciated and near death from malnourishment, and dogs suffering from a variety of health issues ranging from Parvovirus to heartworm and flea, tick, and parasite infestations to severe dental disease that has led to rotting teeth and jaws (Prisoners of Greed). Dogs are housed in extremely small enclosures, where they live out their entire lives. Under current US law, an average sized Beagle could legally live out his entire life in a cage about the size of an average dishwasher (Mainline Animal Rescue).

Beverly Hills Puppies Martin Roy Leon

Hello English Bulldog Lovers,

It's Kat from MN again. I am so sick and tired of dealing with Martin and his so called business. I went to my vet's office as promised today and got a copy of the letter sent to PAWS on the 18th of February. It's so funny because the day I called PAWS, Maggie their representative called Martin for a copy of my pet warranty. So why Martin is saying he is unaware of cause of death is beyond me. Today the 2nd of March I decided to follow up with PAWS in regards to the claim I filed 2 weeks ago. Guess what? Martin still has not sent them a copy of my pet warranty. I emailed him after talking to a PAWS representative and asked him if he knew my puppy was sick and was going to die all along. Well anyways in regards to the letter with my puppies diagnosis that was faxed this morning at 9am. I sent him an email to confirm the fax. He said he would be in the office later today and that he and his vet would have to review it. It's almost 6pm here and I still haven't heard anything. I bet I won't and if I do Martin would have found some loop hole to jump out. I so tired of him and his lies. I promised to post the diagnosis on line so here it is.

Hello English Bulldog lovers. On January 29th of 2009 my family made the biggest mistake of our lives by purchasing a english bulldog from Beverly Hills Puppies owned and operated by Martin Roy Leon. Our puppy was shipped to us on the 31st of January. He seemed like a very healthy little puppy. It was a pleasure having him in our home. Sad to say on the 17th of February our little puppy Henry died due to Acute Pulmonary Edema. It means he filled up with fluid inside. It caused us a lot of heartache and a lot of money for the vet bill. I contacted Martin the day after the puppy died. He asked me to contact him a couple of days later so I did. I told my husband and children that I would never want another little puppy again. It hurt so bad and how could after just 2 weeks you can become so attached to them. So after a couple of days of thinking I contacted Martin he agreed to give us a little puppy when we felt as though we were ready at what he called a discount $800.00 including shipping. I thought about it we paid $1449.00 for Henry, with his kennel, food, toys and all need accessories was about $500.00, his first vet check cost $150.00 and his final vet visit when he died cost us $404.00 a grand total of well over $2000.00. So I asked Martin 2 days ago to see if he would be willing to give us a puppy at $500.00. I haven't heard from Martin in two days. I have sent him numerous emails. But in the mean time I've done a lot of research about Beverly Hills Puppies and Martin Roy Leon. If you google complaints about Beverly Hills Puppies there are a couple of complaints online. Read them very carefully. One of the complaints has a couple of response to them by alleged buyers of Martins. One alleged buyer Bruce Wright put in two comments one for himself and one for an alleged Dr. Roger Narula both just really happy with their english bulldogs. Well if they are two different people how could they log in under the same name and sign their comments under different names. Oh, I guess Martin Roy Leon forgot to log off Bruce Wright before he wrote comments under Dr. Roger Narula. But I guess it's kind of too late to change that since he doesn't own the complaint website. Be very careful everyone. When I bought our puppy Henry I asked to see pictures of mom and dad. Moms name was Eloisa and his dad's name was Beto. Three days ago when I enquired about 2 puppies he had on his site and wanted to see pictures he sent them but guess what Henry's dad the same dog in the pictures has a new name now. He can't keep them straight. I contacted NKC and the women on the line said their are numerous complaints about Beverly Hills Puppies and their Pedigrees. Call NKC before buying a puppy. The number is [protected]. Oh yeah and also call the Better Business Bureau of Florida they too also have complaints. I been watching Martin's site and every week he has about 18 little puppies on his site. You have to help but wonder where he is getting all these little puppies and if they are healthy. Anybody can send false documents and it wouldn't be hard to have a vet just sign a Health Certificate. I mean if he puts his own comments online he could do anything. Oh yeah try googling this Dr. Roger Narula he doesn't exist anywhere. I have contacted Martin via email to let him know that I will let the world know and will tell my story to anyone who will listen. So please investigate this breeder before buying. If anyone would like to contact me and would like information about Beverly Hills Puppies and all their discrepancies I have kept all my emails from Martin and would be happy to forward them to you. Let's put two and two together to see if your info matches mine cause it looks like he can't keep his dogs straight let alone comments online straight.

Hello there again,

I figured I would post on both complaints. Well I just wanted to let everyone know that Martin did keep his end of the bargain. We've had Chloe for a week now and she is in good spirits and learning the ropes of being a puppy. I just wanted to thank Beverly Hills Puppies for allowing us to pick out another little puppy free of no charge. I've grown from this experience as a person and as a first time puppy buyer. This experience had it's ups and downs but in the end the outcome was good. We got our little Chloe!

Hello again English Bulldog Lover,

It's Kat from MN. Sorry I've been meaning to let the world know how my story ended but I've been so busy. Well after my vet's office faxed the cause of death to Martin he did indeed keep his end of the bargain and allow us to pick out a new puppy free of no charge. We picked her out on Tuesday the 3rd of March and I and my girls picked her up from the airport on the 5th. She is adorable and has a great personality and temperment. I took her to the vet the next day and he thinks she is very healthy. To Martin and Beverly Hills Puppies I am sorry that I had to take this route to get results but I am very thankful that you guys did send us a new puppy as promised. Chloe is and will be loved! Once again Thank you!

Sorry guys the letter didn't load very well in order to have it readable I had to increase the font size. Sometimes you can read it and sometimes you can't. Try clicking on it a couple of times. Maggie is the representative at PAWS this is the original letter sent out the day after Henry died.

Okay Martin, I totally agree with what you have to say here. My name is Kathy and my friends and family do call me Kat. Why you are saying my identity is not identified is beyond me. What also is beyond me is why you are saying you have been unaware of cause of death. I called you the morning after it happened. I even had my vet office fax a copy of the cause of death to PAWS that same day. Just a FYI too, I work at a Trauma One hospital here in the twin cities and am very familiar with diagnosis. The day Henry got sick I acted immediately I had him to the closest vet within 5 minutes of him getting sick. For goodness sakes I left the house in my PJ's and slippers that is how fast I reacted. Working at a hospital I know that how and when you react is essential. I tried to help Henry I reacted immediately but in the end I just couldn't give him the help he needed. Standing in that emergency room at that vet office I was hoping someone would just pinch me and I would awake from the dream but it was reality. Coming home empty handed was the hardest. We loved Henry and took very good care of him for the two weeks that he was with our family. I would never spend 1400 for a puppy that I would neglect. I am a good mom to my children and was a great mom to my little Henry. We miss him everyday. First thing Monday morning Martin I will have my vet's office fax you a copy of cause of death and I hope you keep your end of the bargain. Or are you going to find some lope hole to jump out of. And for the world I will post that cause of death on this page so that it will prove to the world that this is not some story I just made up yesterday and that I am not the kind of person Martin portrays me to be in his response. I will let you guys know if Beverly Hills Puppies keeps their end of the bargain.

I bought a puppy from Mr Leon 3 days ago that is supposed to be an AKC bullterrier, however whenever the puppy arrived at The airport, I noticed something strange. His ears are not standing up as they were in the photo but they are laying flat and he looks more like a Jack Russell or a dachshund. Upon taking him to the vet yesterday, the veterinarian told me he does not look at all like a full-blooded English bull terrier. He looked more like a hound or hound mix maybe with some Maltese in him. I was very upset about this so I emailed Mr. Leon a nice letter asking him if he could please send me pictures of the parents or explain why the puppy is only 4 1/2 pounds at eight weeks old. Putting him at around 13 pounds fully grown. Here are some pictures of him.

I bought a puppy from him over 2 years ago she was 7 months at the time. I had a slightly bad feeling about him when my friend asked where the parents were & he said Georgia. But his wife got very upset & tearful when I took the puppy so that made me feel a bit better ?! Jellybean started having convulsions about a month after I got her home to the Bahamas but they are well controlled on medication. Now she obviously has hip dysplasia but is not in any pain. Apparently all bulldogs have some level of hip dysplasia but getting her back to Miami for a consultation/ surgery is not without complications & expense. I have her taking supplements & she never shows signs of pain, I worry about her seizure issue with surgery ...but mostly I wonder if the bugger Martin Leon knew about these issues. I love her to death, she is totally spoilt & pampered so what do you do just let her have a good life, but I have a bad gut feeling she may not be with us for many years.

Maida.

There are two sides to every issue. Let us scrutinize the internet which is relative new to our society and the laws that allow complaints to be posted without proving the allegations. In the internet world anybody can post a complaint without proving any allegation.

It is not proper or correct for the internet to allow an anonymous person to post a complaint that contains allegations that has not been proven.

By writing something that is not true or correct our legal system allows us to sue for defamatory or libelous statements.

I bought a puppy from him last December. When I got him everything was fine. After three months he got diagnosed with a condition that he will have for life called Hypoplasia of Trachea. His wind pipe is two small. We than had to get surgery that cost $1600 that would not fix the problem just help him breath. After that I got him insured. A few months after his first diagnoses the vet diagnosed with a torn ligament in his nee and bad hips. So once again I had to put him in for another surgery before the age of one. The vet did not want to do hip surgery because bulldogs do not recover well. I called Martin when he got diagnosed with the first condition, he said I could send the dog back at my expense and get a new puppy. I got so sick of dealing with him I stopped calling after a couple months. That being said he was three months old at the time. The dog had a health grantee and clearly that is not the case with my dog. I am in different country and it is hard to resolve a problem from so far away. I would not recommend this breeder to anyone.

First, we are very sad her hear that a puppy that we sold has died. Second, it is our intent to always resolve any dilemmas with our buyer.

This is in response to a complaint posted on 02/28/2009, pertaining to a English Bulldog that was purchased on January 29, 2009. First, this complain does not have a name of who placed.

We can only assume that this puppy was the one shipped to Minnesota. Since the person that placed the complaint did not wish to reveal her or his name; I will not reveal what I believe the name to be of the person that may have placed the complaint.

First, this puppy was shipped with a Florida health certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian. Dr. Jose A. Romano, D.V.M. examined and certified that the puppy was in good health. The buyer was required to have the puppy examined with 72 working hours after the arrival of the puppy.

The telephone call made to me from the buyer on February 19, 2009 the puppy was in good spirits and in good health up until the moment he died. It was my understanding from the buyer a veterinarian the examined the puppy right after he died. It was further my understanding that the veterinarian was not sure the cause of death.

We are for the first time becoming aware that apparently the puppy died because of Acute Pulmonary Edema. This and all of our puppies are shipped with a PAWS warranty that covers up to $1000.00 of medical bills within the first 90 days after arrival. If this puppy had medical issues, why was the puppy not taken for medical treatment?

We would be very interested in seeing the medical reports from the veterinarian that diagnosed that the puppy had died of Acute Pulmonary Edema. NO REPORTS HAVE BEEN SEET TO US BY THE BUYER.
“Symptoms of pulmonary edema include difficulty breathing, coughing up blood, excessive sweating, anxiety, and pale skin. A classic sign of pulmonary edema is the production of pink frothy sputum. If left untreated, it can lead to coma and even death, in general, due to its main complication of hypoxia. If pulmonary edema has been developing gradually, symptoms of fluid overload may be elicited. These include nocturia (frequent urination at night), ankle edema (swelling of the legs, in general, of the "pitting" variety, wherein the skin is slow to return to normal when pressed upon), orthopnea (inability to lie down flat due to breathlessness), and paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (episodes of severe sudden breathlessness at night).”
If proper medical reports are supplied to us we will ship a puppy of her or his choice free of charge, shipping and every included.

In summation, we are now receiving conflicting reports of what transpired with this puppy shipped to Minnesota. The buyer indicated one set of facts and this complaint indicates different facts. We would like to resolve this situation, but we have never been forwarded any medical reports. The buyer never told us that the puppy died because of pulmonary edema. Rather the buyer told us that the puppy was fine up until the moment he died and that the medical doctor did not give a cause of death.

In our website: www.beverlyhillspuppies.com we very clearly state our conditions of our warranty. We will leave this case open pending proper medical report to substantiate the cause of death. Again, if the proper medical documents are sent to us we are prepared to ship another puppy of the choice of the buyer free of charge, shipping included.

The puppy purchased from them was sent from GA, not FL. per the paperwork from airline and I have emails where he(Martin Leon, the so called breeder...
