Josh *** did an outstanding job correcting the faulty rework of another technician. He is very thorough and professional. This man is better suited in a manager's position in the company, he will provide great customer care while ensuring the work is completed correctly the first time. He is the type of individual who will earn the company thousands in revenue while significantly reducing rework. He's a top professional. I wish he did my previous installation."

Lonnie arrived promptly when they said he would. He explained what our problem entailed and what he needed to do to correct it. There were two techniques, and each was explained completely. We opted for one of them, and he proceeded. Lonnie showed my daughter and me what the pipe looked like inside using the camera. This was part of his complete and full explanation of what the pipes were like inside. He completed the task, and the drain works great again. Wow, thank you Lonnie. We were unable to do it without you. Again, THANKS.

Electrician, *** and his apprentice, *** did an amazing job replacing my electric panel. From the initial conversation through to the completion walkthrough, *** shared everything I needed to know, was patient and thorough in explaining the process, my choices, etc. Of the three bids I secured, *** earned my appreciation and trust. So much so, I did an additional bid with Berkeys Plumbing for a new water heater, selecting them for the job.This is an excellent business with amazing professionals servicing their customers.

Berkeys got a great technician Emmanuel out the same day to repair the blower for one of my air units. Emmanuel was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient in diagnosing and testing the problem, checking for replacement parts, and picking up and installing the parts. He also took the time to verify both the mfr and Berkeys warranties, He also practiced good COVID-19 protocol and cleaned and picked up trash. I’ve been a Berkeys customer for over 8 years and will continue. I highly recommend their BAM preventative service as well as repairs and replacements.

I have dealt with Berkey's for AC Service and Repair for almost 20 years. Their techs are always top notch and straight forward. My last tech was very thorough in diagnosing the problem and told me exactly what was wrong, most likely what caused it, and what was needed to repair. I have always found Berkey's to be honest and thorough, with great techs. They are always my first phone call whenever I have an issue. They are also very good about emailing you the information, calling you 30 min before they are on the way, and overall excellent communication.

I am completely satisfied with the relationship I have cultivated with Berkey’s over the years. Their technicians are very knowledgeable and respectful. I worked with John this late afternoon. He was very polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. He didn’t just fix the problem and leave. He spent time trying to determine the underlying issue so it wouldn’t continue to inconvenience me further. I was and am always satisfied with their work. John and Berkey’s have impeccable customer service. I absolutely and without hesitation recommend Berkey’s. You can’t go wrong with them.

was very polite, respectful and efficient. He checked out my HVAC system and also checked the accuracy of my thermostat, as I had wondered if it was malfunctioning. He explained that it was not malfunctioning, but that the reading was slightly off by a few degrees due mainly to the location of the thermostat right by the air intake. He had an air temperature thermometer, and showed me exactly what the difference was between what my thermostat was reading, and the actual air temperature . I wish I could give zero stars. The flush valve was leaking in my new one-piece Kohler toilet. I called Berkey's. The technician first said he has never seen anything like this before, it will be cheaper for me to change whole toilet than to try to change flush valve!. He said the parts don't exist. I showed him the parts and how to do it on the internet. Then he quoted me $400 to change the flush valve discounted to that amount if I purchase their membership. I declined and told him to put the toilet in the condition he found. He did not. Now it does not even fill up. Never, ever will use them again.

After having our roof repaired, we noticed that the main exhaust pipe for the water heater was busted. To us, this seemed like an emergency due to the carbon monoxide risk. We are members of a competitive company's service program, but they were not able to schedule a tech for two days, so we called Berkeys. This was our first experience with Berkeys and not only did they send a fantastic tech out to help us the next day (thank you ***!), they were friendly, not pushy, told me about their own preferred customer program and conducted a thorough inspection. The great service is much appreciated.

visited me today for my annual HVAC ck up for the up-coming winter season. WAS COMPLETE, THOROUGH, VERY POLITE, HIGHLY KNOWLEDGEABLE about FRIENDLY. I might have held up on his time, though asked about my thermostat. HE advised me that perhaps i might want to ck the web sites for a different one due might be cost effective. I thought about it; then made a decision for him to JUST GO AHEAD and put a new one in, due he did have it on his truck. THAT WAS SIMPLE, EASY, and "PEACE OF MIND", that i had it replaced, and its DONE...(coupon helped, too)! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BERKEYS for my repairs in the future.THANKS, GUYS.

I contacted Berkeys to provide a quote for replacing a 2.5 ton condenser and evaporator coil (coil only not furnace). I received two quotes, one for what I asked at $7800 and another for replacing the furnace as well for $8200. I thought this extreme for what I was asking. I contacted three other companies for comparison and received quotes from $4200 to $4900. All of the other companies also told me that I had at least a 90% efficiency furnace, which Berkeys didn't bother to tell me, just tried to sell me a new furnace when mine was only 5 years old and a high dollar unit. I am posting this because I want others to be wary of companies that try to take advantage of others.

Jay showed up on time, very professional, gave him a brief overview of what was our issue. He was able to get into the attic and diagnose the problem quickly. Our AC drain was clogged causing the issue. He was very professional, very clean work done, explained how AC drains get clogged (which I didn't even know about) and explained how to maintenance the drain going forward. Berkeys is lucky to have Jay as a technician for their company, he has amazing customer service skills that now a days is hard to find. I would recommend Berkeys to my family and friends. Most importantly the pricing was very fair to have the repairs completed. Thank you for sending him out same day call. "

The sales guy sold annual service and maintenance package. After the install, no one showed up to even check it. I am not that familiar with process and when some issue happened, i thought i have the service he told me. Just by my phone call, the lady on other side, is ready to defend and ready with my history. She started telling me how the membership was annual and if they did not show up i had to call them- completely opposite to what the sales guy told me. They charged arm and leg for install that others charge half the price is what I learned later. The construction and home service industry is running fully unregulated and no one to control who can charge what. People like this company can take advantage of new home owners.

was *** today and he did a GREAT job. We are in the midst of getting ready for a foundation repair and got a plumbing review to see if there are any leaks that need to also be attended to as part of that repair. *** came out a few days ago to run some specific tests and was excellent. We needed one more test run (a camera scan) so we could be very specific about where the leak was located. We were fortunate to have *** do that as well and, once again, his service was spot on. He is timely, professional, informative, and efficient. This is a very stressful process for us and having a professional like *** answer our questions and provide great service is very appreciated. Great service and highly recommend *** and ***!

A neighbor's tree fell on my power line on Sunday evening, 8/16, and ripped my metal riser and meter box off my house. Oncor said I had to repair those items myself before they could reconnect me. I called Berkey's. It is the middle of August so I was desperate to get my power on as my house was 86 degrees inside, I have pets, spoiling groceries, etc. You understand. Long story short, they charged me $2600 to replace the meter box housing unit and the riser. The meter itself was not replaced - that was fine. The technician said the high cost was due to labor. After they went to get parts, they had it installed in less than 2 hours. It is ridiculous what I was charged and if it had not been so hot I would have called to get more quotes. I'll never use Berkey's again as I feel they took advantage of the situation to overcharge me.

Berkeys was quick to respond to my service request. Their dispatcher called to let me know that a tech was on his way and when to expect him and sent an email confirming this along with his picture for proper ID. The tech, John, is a master plumber. He arrived on time wearing a face mask and protective covers for his shoes. He quickly identified the source of the drain stoppage, explained what he needed to do and had it cleared and running normally in no time. He explained why HVAC drains cause clogs in drain pipes and gave some tips on how to keep it running free. This is my second experience with Berkeys Plumbing and I would call them again if needed. John was professional and helpful. I am pleased with the service performed and would recommend Berkys to anyone. The pricing is fair and is actually better than some of the companies that advertise heavily. Keep up the good work!

Berkey's installed our Lennox Air Conditioner system 3 years ago for a cost of close to $20,000. Over the past few months, air conditioner has been not functioning more than 8 times. Have made over 30 phone calls to Berkley's asking to speak to someone above the basic service manager level without success. Am not happy and becoming more unhappy sitting in my hot house waiting for a call back. Incredibly frustrating ! The air conditioner techs come to the house and each one acts like they found or did something the other techs have missed, only to have the system fail again and again. Management should be ashamed to not have honored a customers request to speak with upper management at Berkey's in an attempt to finally get the air conditioner fixed. I put off reviewing the company on yelp reviews, etc until now. Am hoping these reviews will get the attention of someone at Berkey's who can make a difference.

I can't compliment this company enough. *** just showed up and installed new plumbing valves for soon-to-be-upgraded dishwasher. He was cheerful, polite, concerned, and went out to explain what he needed to do. He was great. But *** isn't the exception to the *** rule for employees.Berkeys have baled my bacon out of the fire time after time in the past with pluming issues, electric issues, and air conditioning issues. Not only do they stand behind their work, they have pointed out problems left behind by other contractors. Their vigilance in taking care of me - their customer - doesn't end when a payment is made.As an example, I recently had my entire roof replaced by a different firm who did not vent the roof properly. *** showed up later to replace the *** / AC system and immediately said the roofers didn't install the roof vents properly. I was able to call the other company and get them to come in and finish the job. Thank you ***. Thank you Berkeys. A Difference Between Two Plumbing Companies Estimate from Berkeys to resolve a block and clog in a kitchen drain between $5000 and $18,000 (for plumbing only)Actual cost for clearing the block and clog - $400 Problem that needed solving: clogged kitchen drain and removal of a hose bladder (Lowes product for clearing clogs) that was caught at a joint under the floor I tried clearing a clogged kitchen drain using a bladder (or blow bag) and the metal connection to the garden hose caught at an elbow and could not be pulled out. So I called Berkeys Air Conditioning Plumbing and Electrical to clear both the blocked bladder and the clogged line.When the technician came out, he looked at the situation and determined that he would need to cut the back of the sink cabinet out and cut off the drain pipe. For cutting out the back of the sink cabinet, extracting the hose, clearing the drain and installing a new drainage from slab to sink, the estimate was for $1056.After having authorization to proceed, the technician cut off the pipe and the garden hose leaving no way to grab onto the hose to attempt to remove it. He was unsuccessful removing the hose with a set of pliers. (He did not attempt to remove the hose prior to cutting the hole in my sink cabinet and cutting off the pipe and hose)After being unsuccessful, the technician offered two options on clearing the blockage. *** the slab at the drain or dig a tunnel from outside to the drain. The first meant replacing the kitchen cabinets and countertop and had an estimate for around $5000 plus the costs for the kitchen counters.The second choice was estimated around $17,000. The risks for damage to the foundation for poorly compacted soil and the risk to homeowners for tunnels that collapse on workers is too high.The idea of using the cleanout available to snake/rout back to clog, clear it, then extract the bladder from that side was not presented. I paid $350 for an incomplete task.I decided to seek a second opinion from a different company. That technician came out and assessed the stuck hose and before considering other options spent about 5 minutes of twisting and pulling, freed the hose free and solved the issue. Afterwards, he worked to clear the clog, used the existing p-trap and pipe (that the *** technician had cut and said would all need to be new parts) to reconnect to the drain and clear the slow drains in two other sinks. He worked the problem and provided a solution. Total costs - $430.There is a clear difference between $17,000 and $430. Perhaps it was that the technician did not have experience to solve this type of problem. However, when the costs of a task escalated by the factor quoted to us, it would be reasonable to expect for more senior company members to step in and assess it and perhaps assist the technician to find a more reasonable solution before getting a customer committed to something that will be a major financial burden into the future. Either demolishing a floor slab for access or tunneling should be like a last ditch effort to resolve an issue, not the immediate go-to.For basically the amount Berkeys charged me to not solve a problem and leaving me with a cut garden hose flush with the drain pipe, the other plumbing company solved it, cleared the drain and other drains. I am very dissatisfied with Berkeys Air Conditioning Plumbing and Electrical and would not recommend them.

I wanted to replace a 15 year old closet gas hot water heater that has an electric power vent on top. A young man not more than 22 years of age showed up and wrote a $6,500 estimate. Then he had the nerve to demand i "sign" his free estimate. I asked him why it was so expensive he said the electric fan on top was the reason. What a crock. I told him i wasn't signing anything he acted indignant and called his office as if he was being coached. I replaced the hot water heater for $1200 including the new permit for drain pan. Watch out for this company. They take advantage of the inexperienced.

In February , I contacted Berkey's to help with a tankless water heater that was making a loud noise when turned on in the evening. Four subsequent visits with various "procedures" totaling more than $650 to fix the problem would appear to that the symptoms. In March , two years after this started, the technician was telling me I needed a new gas line run to the water heater. I challenged why when the issue was not consistent. Something in my challenge led him to look at vent in attic and it was completely disconnected causing all of the issues. He then told me it was a massive repair effort and needed a roofer. After the interior work that took 60 minutes, the roofer came the following day and the repair took ~10 min. I was billed $600 for this roofer who told me they were not getting paid that amount and I should as Berkey's. I have inquired via phone and several emails with no response. They used my card on file to take full payment for the services

In late September, Berkeys replaced the evaporator coil in both of my R-22 AC units. They used evaporator coils for an R-410a system, but failed to replace the expansive valves to be compatible with an R-22 system. According to other AC technicians, this caused one of my compressors to fail, as the expansion valves should have been replaced to be compatible with an R-22 system. I called Berkeys customer service phone number on May 4, explained the situation about the failed compressor, and provided my name and address. I was told that I would receive a return phone call shortly, which I did. I spoke with a courteous gentleman and told him about the failed compressor, but he denied that Berkeys was responsible, although he stated that they did not replace the expansion valves. After confirming with two other AC contractors that the expansion valves should have been replaced, I called Berkeys customer service again on May 13, explained the situation to the customer service person, and was asked for my name and address, which I provided. This time, however, I did not receive a return phone call, so I called again on May 15. The customer service person asked for my name and address, which I provided, but shortly after doing so, I was "disconnected".
