I called Benefit Tax Solutions and they told me one thing on the phone, but when it came time to pay, they wanted more money. It's not fair to lie like that.

I hired Benefit Tax Solutions to help me fix my IRS problem from 2017. To be honest, it was a waste of my time and money. They didn't help me at all. All they did was get an extension to file my 2019 taxes, which caused my interest with the IRS to go up. I could have done that myself. The IRS took my refund from 2019, so I don't recommend them and will never hire them again. I paid them around $1500 plus the IRS, which was around $3800, and interest of about $500. I'm not sure, but in total, I paid more than what I owed the IRS. I also got a bill from the state for $1200. So, what did Benefit Tax Solutions do? NOTHING.

This company took my money and didn't do anything to help me. They had my case for 2 years and I gave them a lot of forms and information, but they didn't negotiate with the ***. They told me to send them more money to file a settlement, but I didn't have the money. They said they wouldn't help me until I sent them the money. Now I'm being garnished and owe the same amount. I feel really bad and lost over *** dollars. This company is not good.

I started working with Optima Tax Relief and they were so expensive and did nothing for me. When I called to get an update, I got transferred around to every representative who didn't know anything about my case. I cancelled my contract and lost my initial retainer fee. But then I found Benefit Tax Solutions and decided to give them a try. I was skeptical because of my bad experience with Optima, but Benefit Tax Solutions had knowledgeable representatives who guided me through the process step by step and gave me updates along the way. They were very transparent and straightforward about my options. I had 40k of IRS debt, but their agent was able to settle it down to 4k. It took some time, but it was worth the wait. I was thinking I was paying $495 for some sort of check-up, but then they took $325 out of my account every month for three months. I was so surprised! I asked for my contract, but they never sent it to me. They talked about the payments, but I said I couldn't afford it. They said we could work something out, but they never said I was signing a contract to pay them monthly. Even the bank dispute group couldn't figure it out. The contract was so long and hard to read, and there was no clear language about the monthly payments. I didn't know what I was signing, and I'm 60 and can't read that well. When I called them back, they were no help and just hung up on me. They even took $1495 of my money! They made it seem like I did something wrong. I want to see the work they did on my file. If they send me the contract and it says I authorized the monthly fees, I'll delete my comment. That's my problem with them.

2021. I'm pretty upset about this whole situation and wouldn't recommend Benefit Tax Solutions to anyone. They seem to take your money and run without actually helping you out. It's a shame because I was really hoping they could help me with my tax problems, but it looks like I'll have to find someone else to turn to.

I hired Benefit Tax Solutions on Dec 18, 2019. They sounded good at first and said my IRS debt would go down to $1000, but not over $1500. Their fee was $4500, which I'm paying $666 monthly. It's now May 7 and I haven't heard anything from them. I've called many times and left messages with no response. When I do get someone on the phone, it's *** who doesn't seem interested and is like talking to a wall. I'm starting to think this business is a scam. I hope everything they promised me is true and they're not scammers, but the owner needs to talk to *** and train him how to deal with the public.

Benefit Tax Solutions hit me up in August to help me with my taxes. They said it would be about $3000. We gave them the deets they needed, but then my wife got Covid and passed away. I asked if we needed to do anything different, and they said it would actually look better because our income went down. I was making payments to them and talked to them a bunch after my wife died. I got life insurance and asked what to do. They said to pay the rest of their fee, which was $2800, so they could do more work. So I paid it. But then they said the *** said I had money to pay the taxes because of the life insurance money in my bank statements. But that money was gone after paying bills. They got me a slightly lower monthly payment, but I wanted to pay them so I wouldn't have to pay the *** monthly. I spent about $3600 total, which is more than I saved. They didn't tell me about the life insurance effecting, and I feel like I lost money and still owe the *** We talked a bunch after my wife died, and they knew about it, but they didn't tell me about the life insurance. They didn't even say sorry when they called and said the *** wouldn't resolve the debt because of the insurance money. They should ask about life insurance after someone dies because it can change things a lot.
