BeFrugal BeFrugal Review: Disappointing Cashback Experience and Poor Customer Service

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience using BeFrugal. I mean, I did get some cashback for some purchases, but when it came to my recent HP purchases, none of them got honored. And when I reached out to BeFrugal to ask what was up, they gave me some excuse about how according to the vendor, I didn't use the BeFrugal links. But like, come on. I know I used the right links. It just felt like BeFrugal was looking for any excuse not to give me my money.

And it's not just me, either. I've heard from other people who've had similar experiences with BeFrugal. They'll offer these big cashback rates for certain purchases, but then when it comes time to actually pay up, they'll find some reason not to. It's frustrating, to say the least.

I should've known better, honestly. I've used other cashback websites in the past and never had any issues. But I was lured in by BeFrugal's big advertised rates. And now I'm regretting it.

Look, I'm not saying you'll never get your cashback from BeFrugal. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did. But personally, I wouldn't risk it again. Especially not for large purchases where the cashback rate looks tempting. It's just not worth the hassle.

BeFrugal BeFrugal Review: Decent Cash Back Site with Some Issues

I have been using BeFrugal for a while now and I have to say, I am quite impressed with the amount of cash back I have received. However, I have seen some people complain about not receiving their cash back and I can understand their frustration. It can be quite concerning when you see your money pending and you're not sure if it will actually come through.

I have also experienced some issues with the site, but I think it's important to note that these issues are not unique to BeFrugal. Every cash back site has its own set of problems and it's up to the user to decide which one works best for them.

That being said, I have had some trouble with BeFrugal's mobile application. I have used the link to Kohls and used their coupon, but my cash back was not credited. I received a generic email stating that I did not use the coupon they supplied, which was not true. I have also noticed that the order dates versus Kohls dates were wrong and the amounts were incorrect. It can be quite frustrating to continuously do the same thing and receive denial after denial.

Despite these issues, I have still received a decent amount of cash back from BeFrugal. I think it's important to keep in mind that not every purchase will qualify for cash back and it's up to the user to make sure they are following the guidelines.

One thing that does concern me is the fact that some stores do not seem to know about BeFrugal. I have called a few stores and they did not know about the site, but they knew about Ebates. This could be a red flag for some users and it's important to do your research before using any cash back site.

Overall, I think BeFrugal is a decent cash back site. It's not perfect and there are some issues, but I have received cash back and I think it's worth using. However, I can understand why some people may be hesitant to use the site and I think it's important to do your own research before making a decision.

BeFrugal BeFrugal Review: Disappointing Cashback Experience & Poor Customer Service

I gotta say, I was pretty excited to use BeFrugal for my Black Friday shopping this year. I mean, who doesn't love cashback, right? So, I went ahead and made a $200 purchase, expecting to get a sweet 11% cashback. But, lo and behold, the cashback never made it to my account. I reached out to "Todd" from BeFrugal, and he told me that I either wasn't logged in or never activated the cashback. But, here's the thing - I always screenshot my purchases with the banner stating that the cashback was activated. I told "Todd" this, but he refused to give me a way to provide this physical evidence. So, basically, I got zero cashback for my $200 purchase. Bummer, right?

But, that's not all. I also have another investigation for almost $90 cashback that has been pending for a year. A whole year! I keep requesting updates, but I never get any. "Todd" just tells me that the company hasn't responded, so they can't give me any updates. But, get this - the shopping trip is in my account, and I can prove that the full order went through and the full amount has been paid. However, they won't let me provide any evidence, and they're just accepting that the company hasn't responded. So, basically, I'm just stuck in limbo until the company decides to respond.

It's funny how the little cashbacks of a few dollars here and there are never an issue, but as soon as there's a possibility for some substantial cashback, there's always an issue. I mean, come on, BeFrugal, get your act together. I've had much better luck with Ebates/Rakuten cashback. Sure, it's less, but at least you actually get the cashback.

BeFrugal Refuses to pay cash back on two large purchases and refuses to give contact person information to resolve issue!!!

BeFrugal makes it easy to not pay big cash backs by not giving the consumer any information to resolve a matter of payment.

In my opinion an investigation should be made of the way this company does its business.

In my opinion a Class action should be filed by those who feel they have been taken by this company by not paying out money due to consumers.

I have been sick the last two months and just got around to make my situation public.

All I ask is this company pay me what was due me.

We seem to have an ongoing problem with Dell and your company. It appears something is wrong what is going on and I need someone to talk with Dell.

You and I have gotten nowhere regarding this process by you only telling me it is computer generated.

Before I contact various consumer sites I give you a final chance to give me information "who" you have an agreement with Dell so I can put this matter to bed.

I recently noticed another instance where Dell verified payment (see below) and then reversed payment.

Your reply amazes me.

Let's say if your company was not paid a commission you would have no one to have contact with to be paid.

Get prepared for an investigation if you can't be a company with giving consumers needed information when they have been denied for a considerable amount of money back.

Again your reply simply amazes me and I presume you or your CEO will have to explain this to some consumer authorities who investigate strange practices by companies like BeFrugal.

Your company is not talking with a young child that does not know any better when they are being taken.
I'm on the planet for 74 years and know when someone has something to hide.

Apparently Be Frugal has a lot to hide when large cash backs are due.

Like I said in my previous email's to you expect some consumer action and it will be coming.

Desired outcome: PAY THE TOTAL AMOUNT DUE ME OF $169.86 and $36.71

BeFrugal Deactivate my account with 300$ on it

Befrugal dis-activated my account with 300$ balance. Because my roommate given me his befrugal account with balance and I added my bank info on it. I didn't know that it will cause me losing my account with 300$ balance so please reactivate my account I invited lot of people that I know and on facebook groups so. Please find a solution for me. I don't want my work to go just like that. As you can see on attached picture that I was promoting the website

BeFrugal merchandise purchased with credit cards

I was suppose to receive a cash back check in 12/1999
As of this date 01/01/2000 I have not receive the check
Amount of check was $33.18. numbers online were
Xshy-3031 ticket i.d. isel-2941 check date 12/12/19
Am I eligible for this check or not and if I am eligible - when will I receive the check.

BeFrugal just fraud

Never expect to get more cash back from them or any at all. Information on their website is tricky and really may make you think you will get something. But they are cheaters. Yes, rates are decent, but it's simply pictures that have nothing to do with the real situation. I doubt you will get cash back.
If you want something in return, I would recommend you to do it on other websites.

Im so disappointed they owe me over 300 in cash back and what really pisses me off is I could have gotten money back from rakutan but due to befrugal promising money back so much quicker I used them. ive sent multiple support tickets all have been unanswered

BeFrugal Bonus cash back

Company will not honor cashback. I signed myself up, and made my purchase. I sent my referral link to a family member and then completed registration for him from that link and completed a purchase from it. Befrugal has adamently refused to pay saying they have no record of a referal. Even though we still have the opened email referral in the inbox. On another company review site they responded saying that I should contact customer service to correct their system glitch and customer service still refused, sending the same generic response. Do not use this company. Ebates is tried and true.

BeFrugal Do not trust Befrugal.

I requested a payment from BeFrugal on January 5. Few minutes later I received a message stating I need to verify the form of payment. I did as they said, but nothing happened. Several days later I still had not received the payment. I contacted Befrugal support and asked about the status of my payment. They said that everything will be fine and it usually takes 10 business days. 10 more days passed and I still had not received it. Then I contacted them again and was told that I never verified my form of payment. If things he said were true he would have told me about it earlier. So this was just a lie. It is now January 27 and I received nothing yet. I'm so disappointed and have no idea what to do now. Do not trust Befrugal.

They pass blame to the company issuing the credits. I had a credit from a qualified purchase (website referral) and waited for the time window to lapse, but received no credit. I contact them through a trouble ticket, they referred the inquiry to the business and then ...nothing. I requested an update status twice over four months time and was told the request is "pending investigation." This is not a federal case it is a credit for a website purchase. Befrugal will not honor their end of the bargain, they will kick the can down the road to delay time so people get tired and go away, they will pass blame onto the merchant which in the end will impact the merchant's bottom line as well. I would suggest both consumers and merchants stay away from this company. There are similar services with long-standing establishment that provide much more reliable and trustworthy service.

they are a fraud you earn cashback then cashout after waiting long time to get cashback into balance then they put payment on hold they should be investigated they are collecting alot of money and keeping it and tons of complaints on better bussiness bureau and many other places i see. i wish i could make merchants reverse their payments to them now.

I had exactly the same experience. I requested payment from BeFrugal in the form of an Amazon gift card on January 2nd. As soon as I made the request, I received and email and a text asking me to verify the form of payment by clicking on a particular link. I immediately did so. Eight business days later I still had not received payment, so I emailed customer service about the status of my payment. I was told by "Todd" that payment would be made by the 10th business day after my request for payment, so I waited. Fifteen business days later, I still had not received payment, so I emailed "Todd" again. This time, "Todd" said that I had "ignored" their initial request to verify my form of payment and that I would have to wait another 10 business days to receive my Amazon gift card. Clearly, this was a LIE. If it were true, why didn't "Todd" ask me to verify my form of payment the first time I made an inquiry? I requested payment (and verified my form of payment) on January 2nd. Today is January 26th and I still have not received my funds. It's obvious that BeFrugal is manufacturing obstacles in order to avoid making disbursements. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR BUSINESS. There are plenty of other cash back portals out there that will not hold your cash back hostage.

BeFrugal Dangerous site!!

I wanted to get some coupons and decided to use befrugal to do it. So I did a click it automatically started downloading something. It was some strange program that totally changed my toolbar. Then my pc went crazy. I guess there was a virus in that program. I tried to delete it, but it was impossible. My pc started opening new windows. I tried to close them, but as I was closing one window, another one opened automatically. It has locked up my computer to the point of needing to shut down and restart. I tried removing the program again but it was useless. Then I scanned my PC on viruses and I wasn't surprised when my antivirus found something. Then something strange happened and the screen turned black. Now I have to repair my pc and I'm very angry. I used it for work, and now it's all gone. I tried to save few bucks, but now I have to buy a new pc. Don't use that site! It is full of viruses and very dangerous. I'm very disappointed, sad and angry at the same time!

BeFrugal This website provides only old coupons

I tried to get coupons from the website www.befrugal.com. I got two and went I wanted to use them, I noticed that they had expired date. I was shocked and immediately emailed the owners of the company. Their response shocked me, because they told that it wasn’t their problem and they could do nothing about it. WTF? They sent me these old and useless coupons, but I wasted money. Don’t deal with these people.
