BeenVerified sells personal information to strangers without your permission. They claim they collect this information from public databases, but they also use social media to create a profile on unsuspecting citizens. They then sell it to anyone who asks for it without requiring proper ID, or filtering out those with criminal intentions. They will happily release your personal data, including home address, phone numbers, workplace, relatives' names, email addresses, FB page, et al., to your stalker or to an identity thief. They are not interested in protecting anyone from harm. In fact, they profit from exposing innocent citizens to those who would harm them financially and/or physically. They will even give your information to an ex-con whose jury you sat on, or for whom you provided testimony against or filed a charge against. These ex-cons often get out of jail seeking retaliation, and they can use BeenVerified to find you in a matter of minutes, as well as locate your relatives.

File a complaint with the New York State Attorney General's office, with your state's AG's office, with the FTC, the FCC and write to your representatives. Contact your state's board of elections and let them know companies like BeenVerified are creating a hostile atmosphere and are interfering with your right to vote by using voter registration rolls to gather information on you and sell it to strangers. Stand up to this blatant invasion of your privacy.

Please DO NOT use this source to find out about whomever you are trying to investigate. Last night I seen the commercial for the First time, and decided to download the app. I used the one credit and wanted to check myself to see what would appear since the say on the commercial "Dont you want to know who your children are playing with" something like that... anyways as a parent I am thinking this is a great tool to have, but when I search for myself I found another person with close to same name as I, and she and I must be the only two in the world that spell our first and last names the same. We are both from Texas, she has a criminal record, and I don't. The crazy thing is that people could think I am her because of our names. I called to let Beenverified.com know that, and because it's public records they can't do anything about it. They could cause a problem for a person like me who has had NO criminal records, but because someone who knows me and knows I spell my name that way(uNiQue) they could think that the other person is me too because we are close to same age, and live in same state. There are NO others around the US probably around the world that spell our first and last names the same. What's the odds that were both from Texas too. So I explain this to them, and they say there's nothing they can do to fix it. I express it's false info on me, and to correct atleast my current address, and try to at least clearly seperate us and make clear details to distinquish the both of us, and our locations from the "Criminal" Tab, and the lady says can't do that either. So my middle Initial will stay incorrect, my address where I current live will be incorrect, and I am a criminal too. My next step is to get Legal Advice and Help. The court systems have my info wrong, and Beenverified will do NOTHING to seperate me from the other "me" who has a record. This is NOT GOOD! They should be shut down from the Internet or the Legal Folks need to step in and make them correct these errors, or shut it down all together. This is False information about me, and it is criminalizing me too, and I am NOT the other person but they just WON'T do a thing about it. Please do yourself a favor, and do not trust Beenverified's sources or you might find that your information is incriminating you too, and there is Nothing they will do about it. May everyone know that you are not receiving accurate information about the persons you search from beenverified, and they are not providing the services you need because they can't make the information, or should I say they won't correct the information when you are the person being discriminated on their website with false information about you that won't seperate you from another, and that is just that. There is nothing anyone can do over there to clear your name if your innocent. Please stay away from checking on someone from this source because I am a victim probably like others due to false records from a commercialized company who claims to offer information on anyone and anything you want to know about them. I just wonder how long this will go on before the Attorney General gets involved and makes them stop releasing false info, or get the Court Sytems Legal Information to provide correct information about people. This is crazy! What is one to do about it? Nothing you just sit and let your Name go down in Shame! Hmmm...where are our rights these days?

My husbands record on been verified is not correct. when we took the proper steps to have them correct the information we simply recieved automated emial responses and the run around and wait game. Their information is not updated at all. they are not a real background check company and their for are not liable for their mistakes wich could cost someone their job!

IWANTED TO USE BEENVERIFIED.COM AND DECIDED TO CHECK OUT MY FAMILY TO SEE HOW ACCURATE THE INFO IS, AND EACH PERSON HAD WRONG RELATIVES LISTED AND I EVEN HAD ALIAS FOR MY NAME THAT I HAVE NEVER USED OR EVEN THOUGHT OF USING. WHERE DOES THIS INFO COME FROM AND HOW DO YOU CORRECT IT?

They are posting false information, listing a false name for myself and someone in my family who is not in my family. I'm wondering if my name is being used falsely. If not, then they are not collecting information properly and advertising to supply people with background checks and making them pay for that with inaccurate information. I have emailed them with no reply yet.
