I drive a Q5 TDI and have been taking it to Audi Nanaimo for all servicing, since I bought it gently used 2 years ago. Servicing has been so professional and exceptional throughout this time but it seems that has changed. I no longer recommend bringing your AUDI to Audi Nanaimo as the integrity, work ethic and professionalism has significantly downturned over the recent months. The experience, knowledge and understanding of servicing and custom service is seriously lacking as I was put in a very unsafe situation, driving home on the highway, yesterday.
Yesterday, I bought it in for routine servicing, including an oil change and AdBlue fluid top-up. When I dropped off my vehicle I also asked the service professional to have the shop replace the drivers side headlight as it has been flickering recently and going out from time to time. I was told they would contact me prior to replacing to confirm that the lightbulb was burnt out. 3 hours later. I was not contacted. I returned to find out they had looked at the light, confirmed it has deteriorated, but was then put back in place and the access closed up. NOT REPLACED as REQUESTED. When I received my keys back I was informed that that performed a routine road safety inspection and found that the AdBlue dash light was on and needed to be topped up ASAP. This is always something that has been performed with ALL TDI oil changes until this time. Has the service changed? I proceeded to request AGAIN that my AdBlue blue be topped up and for them to reset the sensor. 30 minutes later I received my keys back and was sent on my way. 20 minutes on the highway and my CHECK ENGINE LIGHT comes on. I run the code on my code reader to find P203b which is an emergency code to top of AdBlue immediately as there may be engine failure. I purchased a jug of AdBlue to find that my Q5 required HALF A JUG. I have concluded from this that the AdBlue was NOT topped up in the shop but they had only reset the sensor and sent me on my way.
