In 2010, we paid off a cabin mortgage loan with Anchor Bank / TCF (I believe the loan was transferred or sold to TCF banks).

Address of property: 24621 Poquette Lake Road, Shell Lake, WI 54871

We have a copy of the original satisfaction of Mortgage letter that was filed with Burnett County, WI., on August 2, 2010.

When we sold the property on Sept. 9th, 2021, we learned that the title showed there was still an outstanding mortgage. So the original Satisfaction of Mortgage letter we received in 2010 was incorrect.

The property sale was completed 9/9/21 but $112,000 of our proceeds was held back because of the misinformation (filed by TCF) on the loan payoff.

Banana Abstract Co., in Spooner, Wi., tried multiple times to reach TCF/Hungtington Banks' Mortgage department to clear things up.

It took TCF / Huntington Bank 33 days to get the issues resolved.

We have a document signed by Huntington National bank on Oct 9, 2021 stating the satisfaction of Mortgage with the corrected referral to the document number (error stated Doc. # 26201 / should have been Doc. # 262681).

The error was in the original paperwork TCF filed with the county - an incorrect reference number to the property.

Our sale proceeds were intended to pay off our Home Mortgage loan on Sept 9th, but because of this error, we incurred interest charges of $905.19 (33 days at $27.43 per day interest).

I have had repeated discussions with Huntington Bank about this and they keep getting the information wrong.

This was their error and we are asking to be reimbursed for the unnecessary interest expense we incurred on our Home mortgage due to their error and lack of a quick response / resolution.

Note: Our home mortgage was paid off the same day that TCF cleared up the issue and the $112,000 held back, was released.

Documentation - Wiretransfer of $320,705 to JPMorqan Chase Bank

Desired outcome: Reimbursement of $905.19 for the unnecessary interest expenses we incurred due to an error on TCF's behalf which would never have been identified had we not sold the propery.
