The floor supervisor, Ayla, confirmed that this was indeed their intention, prompting me to ask if Jaren, the person who had called me, was doing so on the company's behalf. To this, Ayla answered yes.

While I appreciated their honesty, as a consumer, the semantics of their claim bothered me. If their intention was to do business with me, why not simply state that? Why try to skirt around the definition of solicitation? It seemed like a disingenuous ploy to avoid being labeled as salespersons.

Furthermore, when I asked them to remove me from their call list, they refused. Ayla maintained that their call was not a solicitation and that no laws were being violated, citing a recording of our conversation with record ID 7DCMY, to back her claim.
