Held on the phone for 45 minutes and call was answered placed on mute and then after 10 minutes was hung up on.
This is maybe the 2nd to 3rd time that this has happened to me with this insurance. Seems like ever since employees started working from home this is happening. If call is answered and then hung up no one will know that that call was not assisted.
It is very unfair that we are trying to provide benefits for your members and we can not. We should be working together to provide care for a patient/member.
Working for a busy office I have many benefits to call and when this happens it really puts me behind.
Desired outcome: fire individuals who do this.

Every single time I submit claims to AmeriHealth for reimbursement for a particular provider (Dr.L) (after I have already paid the out-of-network provider), the claim is processed and a check is sent to the provider instead of to me. I have brought this to the attention of customer service many many many times. They are always polite, but never know how to fix the problem. The check is voided, another check issued, and about 75% of the time the second check also gets made out to and sent to the provider again! I've been told to write on the claim and on the provider's receipt "please pay member as provider has already been paid" which I do but that doesn't help. I've asked Customer Service reps to call claims but they say they can only email. Everyone is always sorry, but nothing gets fixed. Meanwhile. AH has my money months and months, plus each phone call takes at least 20-30 minutes or more of my time. This is a provider my son sees weekly, so this is a constant hassle.
