American Van Lines review: Damaged & stoled my belongings

My move from Tennessee to California was a troubling and dissatisfied expereinced with this company. The truck arrived on time with 4 workers to move my things into the trailer. They arrived at 8:00am and ended all the way into the evening of 7:00pm. Why it took this long, I have no idea, since I had already packed and boxed most of all of my things. The troubling part is that my belongings were left on the trailer in the their warehouse and did not leave to move my things until 4 days later.

After recieving my belongings, two weeks later, the unpackers from California did unload the truck, but we found that the screws were missing from my beautiful cherry oak dinning room table, and had gotten water damage on it. These people stoled or missplaced many of my sons things from his bedroom. Toys, bible, bed spread, piggy bank, ceramic letters of my name, to name a few. I am missing clothes, roller skates, living room decorations and more. It makes me so sick, even to this day, that when I think of things I have not seen, it makes me so angry.

The people were so rude in comensating my from the insurance that I had purchased for my move. The only paid $2,0000, which my table alone cost that amount. I also have an electric piano that they messed up, which is not playing right to this day. I am writing this review to share my expereince with this company. They think since they paid the $2,000 that, that was going to take care of my concerns. Well, every year, I realize I am missing items.

I will say, if you use this horrible moving company, please take pictures of every item, and make sure you have every item as soon as possible. Otherwise, I would say do not use this company. I am still upset and its been nearly 6 years since I used this company. That's because I am still realizing how much they stoled from me. I would give them "0" stars if I could.
