We were charged for the free consultation. He told us what we wanted to hear to get us to sign an agreement to hire and wanted $1995.00 retainer, that wasn't supposed to be used. We didn't hear anything for at least a month so we started calling and it was days still we didn't get a callback. First phone appointment they did schedule we waited and nobody called. They called wanting payment and I told them I would have to have wake up Bill cause he had the card not me and it was for 975.00. I said I can have him call when he gets up. She said no don't wake him up, do you think it would be OK for them to charge the card he had used to put his retainer down? I just hesitated cause I didn't know anything about that. I think I said I suppose, I know I didn't give her outright approval because I can't! cause we're not married nor is it my card. I told him when he did get up and found out they had not even sent an invoice. I called and asked for one and it took all day. I couldn't believe what all was on it. From the start, we had told them what to expect from Secy of State, They said that was good and ok then after they got all the money possible and the retainer too, they said because of all the things I had told them from the start. They can not handle the case without it. Before it was no problem! Halfway through the scam, Alex Hernandez called an Atty from Plano and wanted him to take us to lunch (not a business meeting) but one to meet a new client that was getting upset so it would smooth thing over. He told us about them dropping the ball and had no information to give even him. He offed to take the account but we had spent too much already. The person was late for the meeting and didn't want to hear about anything, he talked about the paid in his neck and that he broke his phone charger and had to stop to buy one. When the food came he got a doggie bag to go right away. He told us he got the tab and stay and enjoy our lunch. Then we got billed for everything $682.50 It just blew us away! I have since found out this is something he has done many times before. He had so many different people on the billing like they were working on it also. The whole thing was a scam. What should have been no more than 600.00, We paid 4, 000.00. They shouldn't be allowed to continue this! Thank you for your time and any help with this matter.

I paid a $1950 retainer fee to Alex Hernandez Law Firm and then they ghosted me for 9 weeks. When they finally called me it was to tell me they had lost my file. I challenged the retainer fee on my credit card but the company won't refund my money because I signed a contract. So, I signed a contract and paid my $1950 which was my contractual duty. They failed to meet any contractual duties and admitted to me they lost my file but still won't refund my money. Stay away from these crooked and fraudulent attorneys.

i would never recommend this firm, they did absolutely nothing except bill me bill me bill me. They changed lawyers 5 times and each time had to start from scratch. They spent 5 months trying to serve somebody, and got nowhere.

They suck you dry for money with zero accomplishments except billing for "strategy meetings" which resulted in nothing

Aaron Tucker, I got taken $2300.00 for a breach of case with The Law Offices Alex Hernandez Jr PLLC and they have given me the run around. It been over 4 months no calls emails nothing. I called several times; the times I did get through the lawyer I was assigned to had left the firm. The other time they gave us an attorney that never got back to us. After that you get the answering machine, leave a message. This company is only out to get your money. Hope you read these comments first. Don't get involved something not right.

The Law Firm of Alexander Hernandez, Jr. took two payments from me totaling almost $1,500, to probate the will of my deceased husband. Several months after I sent the requested documents and the second payment, they informed me that since it was a "foreign" will executed in Arkansas, it would be best if I went to the Texas County of the property in question and file the will as a muniment of title.

First, they obviously didn't even open the requested documents or they would have discovered that the will was executed in Texas.

Second, I'd already read about probate and the muniment of title statute, and had decided not to go that route, hence, the hiring of this firm to do the probate.

I've sent two emails to them - the first pointing out their mistake - and the second to state that since they have refused to do the work for which they were hired, they should return my money. They've ghosted me. My next email will be to the Texas Bar Association. I've retained all of the documentation and messages they have sent. At the very least, they will appear foolish and inept, but the fact that they have refused to answer my emails makes me believe there is something more sinister in play.

I needed legal advice regarding a pending real estate sale. They never provided any service and kept my $975.00 retainer fee.

I believe that they are incompetent and are taking advantage of their status and agreement to defraud individuals. I found them online and was given a free consultation by phone to assess my needs. I spoke with Ms. Simpson who arranged for me to speak with attorney Rizwan on Friday, May 7th at noon. No one ever called. I called later that day and spoke to a manager who apologized and said that he would arrange for another lawyer to call me back on Saturday 8th at 1 pm and that he would personally call me if he could not find a lawyer to call me back. No one called me on Saturday. Since I needed my real estate sale to proceed in a timely manner I emailed Ms. Simpson who apologize and said she would speak to management to refund my money. I received absolutely no services from them.

I spoke with someone at the law firm of Alex Hernandez concerning what I thought was an wrongful eviction. I gave them all of the information. They assured me they could help. I paid the $1995 retainer fee. The attorney that was assigned my case was not even a member of the firm, but a 1099. He was nice, but he told me that in Texas, a landlord does not have to offer anyone a lease renewal. I paid every bill early to get the “discount”. They changed me for things that were ridiculous, I.e.; emailing the bill to me, then charging to also mail it to me. They charged for attorneys “discussing “ my case. Needless to say, I didn’t win my case and had to leave.

Here is a little backstory so you can better understand:

I once worked in sales for Thousand Trails. I loved it so much that I purchased one of the tiny homes from an individual, and bought out the remaining lease. I resigned from working there in August. I was told I had to leave the park. I filed a complaint with HR. HR determined there was nothing in the employee handbook, or my contract that said I couldn’t live there. Upon coming back after a Thanksgiving trip, there was a letter on my door stating I had to leave the park and they would not offer me another annual lease. Just in case you are wondering, I had not broken any rules, been written up, had a confrontation, nothing.

I had to sell my home., after paying almost $3000 to the Alex Hernandez law firm. I lost money on my house. They have even continued to bill me for rent on the lot, even though I do not own the house, nor do I stay in the campground,

I filed with EEOC and received a Right to Sue letter. Now, I cannot afford an attorney! I am retired, lost money on the sale of my home, and am not living in a small RV.

I have emailed and called the law firm numerous times. I had to bug them in order to get any of my retainer back. They STILL have not refunded all of it, and the last statement doesn’t even give me credit for paying all of the bills early as specified by them.
