Alabama Department Of Human Resources / Dhr.Alabama.gov review: disengagement of social service against octavia holloway - case# ju 2010-79.02

Court date for approval of custody for Octavia's was set on Dec. 10th, who need guardian after losing her grandmother and Great-grandmother who had legal guardianship. I stepped up to get legal guardianship as a good friend for over 17yrs. to the family. I have consistently asked for help from DHR in getting food, clothes and Christmas because this took place in November considering her transfer school system along with school fees which I paid. They always replied with we don't have anything we can do. I can't get her child-support check until we go to court and get it transferred out of her grandmothers name who is deceased. I have lost over 50 hrs. of work tryin to handle a case that no one else seems to care about. I have completed my home-study ( which social worker started filling out at my home and left with me to complete and mail to her because she didn't have the time to finish), fingerprints, drug screen, criminal history. I call them on a continual basis and they never return calls. We had court yesterday, Dec 10, 2019 at 1:30pm, we arrived at 1:10 pm. They walked in the courtroom and never acknowledge us sitting there. She was called to a back room and she walked out and didn't say a word to us. About 3:30pm we asked how much longer wood it be before we would be seen by the judge and they replied that the case was dismissed because paperwork was not complete. By this time I was angry and wanted to know why she didn't tell us the situation and she reply she had other cases to tend too. At this point I have not received a return call about Christmas yet concerning Octavia Holloway.
