I had two cataract surgeries at Good Shepard hospital in Barring Il in February 2025. I got billed for my portion on the first surgery and paid it off. I also had my annual checkup in January and paid it off. Today I received an email there was was a new message from the organiaztion and found a bill for almost $600 that has been sent to collection along with an amount due for the surgeon who billed me separately and has been paid. Now I want an itemized, readable, and understandable bill that is understandable according to medicare requirements. Its hard to pay a bill that is never sent and received.

Recommendation: Find another hospital, for as good as their staff is, their billing department is nonexistent in person skills.
