I got locked out of my car, so I called ADI Lock & Key to come out. They made me a key that worked for 5 minutes, but my car still said the key wasn't detected. When I got out of my car and locked it, the fob didn't even unlock it. The key is completely broken and doesn't work at all. I called them multiple times, and they kept saying they would call me back, but they never did. So, I decided to go to their shop address in ***. I sat there for an hour, but there was no shop to be found. They said they would be outside, but they were just lying. When I called them, they hung up on me and never returned my calls. On top of all that, they charged me $400, and my car still doesn't unlock. They basically scammed me.

On Monday September 12, I called ADI Lock & Key and told them I only had $300. They said they could program a key fob for my car. When the technician arrived, he had me send the money through a service called ***. As he started working on my car, he mentioned that he didn't have a key with him. He had to go back to the office, but there wasn't one there, he said. So, they were sending one from another office. When he returned, he said the key didn't work, so they had to order a new one. He mentioned it would be ready in a few days and he would come back to program it. However, he kept saying it was taking longer than expected. Eventually, he stopped answering my calls and texts. I reached out to the office, but they insisted that my services were completed, and I had to pay an additional $180 to have the key fob programmed. I tried explaining that it wasn't what I agreed to, so I asked for a refund. They refused and wouldn't even provide a receipt for me to seek reimbursement through my insurance. I attempted to speak to a supervisor, but they would just tell me to call back at a specific date and time, only to hear the same response when I called again.

We got our locks changed by ADI in the start of June. The guy re-keyed 3 locks and replaced our front door lock. We noticed that he took our original lock for the front door the next day and we tried to contact ADI to get it back. It was an expensive lock and we never said he could take it. They kept saying he would drop it off on our porch. After more than a month of trying to get the lock back, I finally got a call from the guy telling me when he would return it. He finally came back with 2 locks because he wasn't sure which one was ours. They were both clearly used and not new like ours. We tried the original key and it didn't work on either lock. He said he would bring back our lock or replace it if he couldn't find it. After another month without the guy returning our lock, I tried to get an answer from ADI again. They kept saying the guy would call me but he never did. I asked to talk to the manager many times and he's always out of the office when I call. I think I've given enough time for this to be fixed and now I feel unsafe in my home. I think this company and the guy who changed my locks stole from me. I'm scared that this is a shady company and my family and home are at risk because the person in charge of changing my locks can't even return a call.

My car key battery was dead so I called ADI Lock & Key for help. They didn't give me a price quote, just took my address and sent a technician. He quickly replaced the battery in my car key, which took about 15 minutes. Then, out of nowhere, he told me the bill was $150. I was surprised but didn't argue because he was already at my house. I paid him through Venmo, as he requested. Later, I called the store to ask for a quote for a battery change. The representative told me there's a non-negotiable $30 fee for the technician's visit, and then I would get a quote before any work started. I called again to explain my situation and make a complaint. I asked if this was their normal way of doing business, but the representative couldn't give a clear answer. Then a woman, who said her name was ***, called me to explain that there's a $95 minimum charge for the technician. I was never informed about this minimum, and I would have declined the service if I had known. She offered to refund $50 through Venmo, and I accepted, thinking it was the best I could get. Two days later, I called again because I hadn't received the refund and asked to speak to ***. The man laughed and said there was no *** and hung up. I called again and spoke to a different representative who promised to investigate. Their policies seem very unethical at best.
