My name is Andrea and I brought my car into my local AAMCO in Pantego, TX, 2320 W. Pioneer Pkwy, on Monday July 31, 2023 for the free transmission check. I was contacted back on Wednesday with pictures and told that I pretty much needed a whole rebuild done on my transmission. I was quoted a price of $4,700 (Repair Order #J122189) by Dan who works at that location. I agreed to that price and for the work to be done in 3 days. I was told it would take 3 days in order for this to be completed. I rented a vehicle from Enterprise for those days. I contacted Dan on Friday to see where he was at with my vehicle and he told me they would be done tomorrow, Saturday 8/5/23. I called him the morning of 8/5/23 just to make sure because I was turning in my rental car and he told me that the car would be ready in a couple hours. I turned my rental car in and Ubered to the Pantego AAMCO location around 1:00 pm. Once I get there, Dan tells me that the technician is putting on one more part and has to drive it and then my car would be ready. Dan comes in to tell me every 10-15 mins that it's almost done. Finally, at 3:00 pm, I ask him what is the problem and when will it really be done because I have an appointment that I was going to be late for. He tells me that a sensor that they put on isn't taking and they are trying to fix it. He says I can take the car because usually the light goes off by itself by driving it. I tell him with the amount that I'm required to pay for this repair, I'm not taking the car if it's not properly fixed. He says they are staying late until my car is fixed and for sure Monday I will have my car. So for the whole weekend, I had to Uber myself and my daughter to our engagements because Dan said my car would be ready and I turned my rental car in. Monday morning comes and I don't hear from Dan, so I call him and send him a text on his cell phone. No response until 1 p.m. For him to tell me that they ran into another issue with a part that they are trying to figure out. I ask him when will my car be ready because I have things to do and I can't keep paying for Uber. He says...in a couple hours for sure. I call him back in a couple hours and he says they are almost done. I ask, when?...Dan says the technician is trying to make the part compatible with my car. They don't usually run into these problems and they would stay late to get my car done and ready for me. So I say "It's not going to be ready today like you said?"...he says" we are trying but it's not as easy as you think. I tell him "I need my car today because I have to go to work. I haven't been able to go because I don't have my vehicle and Uber is too expensive because my job location is an hour away" He says tomorrow (Tuesday) we will have it ready. He says he will call me in the morning. He calls me Tuesday morning around 7:30 am and tells me that my car should be ready between 12 and 2 today (Tuesday 8/8/23). I call him a little after noon to make sure before I order my Uber up to the AAMCO in Pantego and Dan informs me that they won't have my car ready at the time specified. I tell him he keeps giving the run around and I need my car. He says another part (TECHM, not even the sensor) they are trying to put on is difficult and my car is the only car they are working on. That they will stay late (AGAIN) and try to have my car ready tomorrow (Wednesday 8/9/23). He gives me a name and number of an Enterprise that will give me a car for cheap and tells me I should be good. I call the Enterprise and the guy he tells me to talk to doesn't even work there anymore and the Enterprise doesn't even have cars in their inventory and won't have any until Thursday(8/10/23) or Friday(8/11/23). At this point I have no transportation and I can't keep dealing with the back and forth of lies from this AAMCO and I would like compensation for my time and the money spent on rental cars and also for Uber that I am still having to order because I still don't have a car. I have lost wages (still losing as I type) from work and spent way more money than even the total quote to fix my transmission.

Desired outcome: I want my car now and no balance when I do pick it up with some compensation for everything that has been lost on my end. A response on when this will happen is greatly appreciated.
