On Dec 7, 2025, I joined 24 Hour Fitness and purchased what I was told was a one-time new customer special: 5 training sessions for $261.60 — not a subscription. I made it clear I’d be out of town until Jan 9 and didn’t want anything to begin until January. They agreed, and I scheduled a session for 1/13. After getting the flu, I rescheduled for later in the month. Then I saw my Jan credit card statement and realized I’d been charged $261.60 for both December and January. When I complained, they refused a refund. The manager, Jake, was rude and claimed I should have read my contract — a contract they never sent until after I complained. Jake told me he personally called & left a message for me. Another lie, as all my phone calls & conversations are recorded & stored in my email. Beware of their bait and switch tactics. Do not trust their verbal promotions and what the salesperson tells you.
Claimed loss: $261.60
Desired outcome: I want the $261.60 unauthorized charge refunded.
