1st Signature Lending review: Absolutely horrible experience

Started a construction loan process with them. We gave them everything they asked for as far as documentation was concerned. Then they asked for more, then more after. They botched my income and employment reasoning and started getting the run around after they claimed they "overthought" the requirements for our loan. Then it got passed off to another person to handle and then another. I was quoted an initial closing cost amount with my included down payment, and then the night before closing, that amount increased $18,000 dollars. At the closing, the closing documents were not sent to the Attorney handling the closing till after the scheduled closing time, so we had to wait a little while for the documents to be sent and printed off so we could start signing the documents. I had to miss more work than I had told my employer I needed. Then yesterday, I received an invoice for the interest payment on the loan, which was emailed after hours on the day after it was due with a $20 late fee on it. We never received a letter or email from them before yesterday. The address that they have on the bill is wrong, of which I had to correct with three different people during the approval process over a month and a half ago. I called this morning only to get a voicemail for the billing department with still no call back yet. I don't know what kind of riff raff company this is, but I can promise you that I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone. Absolutely terrible company. I have reached out to talk to their upper management team on two occasions and got voicemails. I do not believe that they care about their customers at all. Do not use them.
