They advertise "Buy here, Pay Here" but slip in "lease" papers instead. They steal your money and then force you to use their shop to fix a car. Never telling you ahead of time the estimated cost to let you make a choice of fixing it or not. Within 24 hrs of buying car, it broke down and they did make any arrangements for it to be fixed. We put a$ 2000. down and with in 2 weeks we had car we spent another $700.00 and they wanted to charge us another $182. for things that should have been done (as they said that they changed and checked the car before we were to pick it up) . We only put 250 miles on the car in 2 weeks, but we were stranded a total of 10 hrs and too much money spent. We asked to get our money back and return the car. Al, the owner of all of the businesses, said Hell No and threw my husband out of his office after my husband asked him about the National consumer protection law (commonly know as the Lemon Law) for which Al got really mad and wanted to start fighting with my husband and intimdate my husband, for which my Husband is not to be intimidated as he deals with Jerks like Al everyday!

The Lemon Law only applies to new vehicles. As long as you sign a "buyers guide" stateing the car is sold as is, and believe me they made sure you did, there is no recourse to pursue against the dealer. I know them well at Al's and 109 Auto Sales. They do sell crappy cars and do not check them out before hand reguardless of what they say. You are correct however about the BHPH ads then slipping in lease papers. That is a violation of the truth in lending act and false advertisement. Call the Tennessee Department of Auto dealer commission. They know Al well and hate his guts. Your husband was right not to do anything to Al on his property. He has a lot of legal backing when attacked at his place of business and he knows this but, off his property he will run like the loud mouth chicken he really is. I hope this helps.
