I am VERY disappointed with this product and the company (Merial) that makes it. I have a small 4.5# dog (indoor except for pottying, 4 mos. old, only pet, ) that has a mild case of fleas - no tics or other pests. After applying the product 1 week earlier, I only saw a small reduction in scratching. Still found a few live fleas; it clearly did not work for MY dog. When I called the company re: their "Satisfaction Guarantee" prominently placed on their packaging, I was told that in order to claim a refund, I needed to use the product for 3 consecutive months before a "refund would be considered"! Nowhere on the box does it say that. When I mentioned that to them, they said that if I had gone to their website (which I never had, nor had a reason to), it is THERE that I would have seen the limitations of their "satisfaction guarantee". That's VERY deceptive and illegal to tie unwritten limitations to their guarantee when it is not stated on their pkg. (What if their unwritten policy required 6 mos. usage, as an example, before refund is considered?) Satisfaction guaranteed means just that: if you're not satisfied (and I am NOT!), you get your money back. If the pkg. said, "Satisfaction guaranteed AFTER 3 mos. of usage", I wouldn't be arguing here. They told me that Frontline was not designed to repel fleas, so it's of no help if another one comes around after application. It only will "kill" them once they are on the dog after a day or so (didn't for MY dog!). I have been told, but haven't verified, that Advantix DOES repel them so I will try that brand. (Since found out that there have been a lot of complications for dogs using this one.) To adhere to THEIR requirements of 3 mos. usage means that my dog would have to continue to suffer scratching and itching for another 2.25 months, which is ridiculous. I will NEVER buy this product again. I will now be trying Advantage; has a high satisfaction rate of reviews on Amazon. Time will tell.

Merial will deny your claim for any reason. There is no appeals process. It is a total and complete fraud. Even if you purchase from a vet. Im about to sue these jerks on principle.

There is no such thing as a mild case of fleas and no product will rid of a flea infestation with one application. It takes months.

I had a similar issue with Merial and Frontline. I have two dogs and both have a mild case of fleas. I called the Meriall number and they told me that my house dogs are getting fleas every time they go outside to go potty. I said that is ridiculous becuase if that is true why doesn't other dogs in my neighborhood have fleas. It is like the people on the phone have a script to follow so that customers to not use their satisfaction guarentee. So I ask then asked about the satisfaction guarentee and the women told me that they would give me free product(why would I want a product that is not effective). So, then I read a paper from my vet about refund of money or a terminix inspection of my house and she replied, oh that is the satisfaction plus guarentee. Are you kidding me! I am switching products for my dogs, this company is not honest or trustworthy, so I do not want to deal woth them.

Did you purchase this product through a veterinarian? The veterinarian office does guarantee their products and will reimburse you because they will get their product replaced to them, However there is no gurantee for reimbursment if purchased elsewhere. If you did go to a vet's office you really need to contact them, and if not NEVER by over the counter flea or tick medication AGAIN!
