1-800 Contacts Beware of Hidden Fees and Charges: My Experience with 1-800 Contacts

So, I was on the hunt for some contact lenses and stumbled upon 1-800 Contacts. They were boasting about having the best prices, so I decided to give them a try. I entered all my information and was able to view my cart, which showed the price along with some discounts. I thought to myself, "This is great!" and proceeded to checkout. However, once I hit that button, the prices disappeared. I was left scratching my head, wondering what was going on.

I entered my insurance benefits, which they accepted, and then proceeded to enter my credit card information. I had done the math and figured out what my total should be, but to my surprise, the price increased by a whopping $80+. I recalculated, but still couldn't figure out what was going on. That's when I decided to reach out to their online chat support.

After a few minutes of chatting, they dropped a bombshell on me. Apparently, if you use your insurance, the discounts do not apply, and you're not even eligible for the rebates. What the heck?! Nowhere in the checkout process did they mention this. It felt like a scam to me. They were hiding the prices during the checkout process, so I had no idea what they were charging me until I hit that submit button.

If they hadn't already applied my insurance, I would have cancelled the order. But we all know how difficult it is to get our benefits back once they're gone. I will never order from this company again, and I urge you to watch out if you're considering them. Don't fall for their "best prices" marketing ploy. It's just a way to lure you in, and then they hit you with hidden fees and charges. Stay away from 1-800 Contacts!

1-800 Contacts Inconsistent Sales Tactics and Overpriced Rates: My Experience with 1-800 Contacts

The people who work at 1-800 Contacts are all about making sales. It really depends on who you talk to when you call them. Some of them will give you free overnight shipping, while others won't. Some will give you a great price, while others won't. It's like going to a used car lot, and it can be a lot of work unless you want to pay their overpriced rates. They charge too much unless you can find a discount somewhere else, and then they will match the price. It can take a long time to order contact lenses because you have to negotiate with them.

The last time I called, the person I spoke to told me that I couldn't find better prices on Google because they were too cheap. They said I had to search in incognito mode to find the higher prices. However, just a month ago, I ordered from them and they matched the price I found on Google. It really depends on the agent you get and whether they are willing to give up some of their commission to give you a better deal. Sometimes, I get really excellent agents, but it's really just luck of the draw.

I usually run out of time when I call them, and I don't really recommend them. I'm going to start ordering from somewhere else because I always feel like they are trying to take advantage of me. Their policies should be consistent, but they aren't. It's frustrating to deal with them, and I think there are better options out there.

1-800 Contacts Frustrating Experience with 1-800 Contacts: Poor Customer Service and Technical Issues

I recently had an experience with 1-800 Contacts (1800contacts.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I needed to order a 6-month supply of contacts and decided to give this company a try. I entered my prescription information manually and listed my eye doctor, but then the app required me to take an online eye exam through them. I was hesitant, but I went ahead and completed the exam.

After I paid $208 for my order, I received a notification that there were technical issues with my exam and I needed to retake it. I did so, but then I received another notification that my order had been cancelled altogether. I was confused and frustrated, so I called customer service to try to resolve the issue.

The man I spoke with on the phone was not helpful at all. He told me that contacts are regulated and they can't just sell them to anyone. He said my money would be returned in 7-10 business days. I called back and spoke with a woman who suggested I reorder and it should work this time. I explained that they had already taken my money and asked if she could fix it on her end, but she told me it was my bank's problem.

I was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from 1-800 Contacts. The representatives I spoke with were rude and unhelpful. The glitchy eye exam requirement was frustrating, and I felt like I wasted my time and money. I usually order my contacts from Walmart's vision center online, and I deeply regret trying this company out.

In my opinion, any positive reviews of this company are 100% fake. I feel like I was scammed and I would not recommend 1-800 Contacts to anyone.

1-800 Contacts Beware of Expired Contacts from 1-800 Contacts: My Experience

I gotta say, I'm not one to write reviews but I just gotta warn y'all about 1-800 Contacts. If you or anyone you know uses 'em, you might wanna think twice. I got some contacts from 'em and boy oh boy, were they expired! I didn't even realize it until I had used three sets and my eyes were dry as a bone. And let me tell ya, those contacts were the source of some nasty migraines. I thought maybe it was my solution, but even after buying more, I was still having issues. That's when I checked the boxes and saw that they had expired way back in May, and I got 'em in November! Can you believe it?

So, I figured, okay, maybe it was just a fluke. Maybe this never happens to 'em. So I trusted 'em again and asked for new contacts. But guess what? They sent the box to my old address, even though I told 'em not to. And when I finally got the contacts, they were expired AGAIN! And get this, they even asked for the first expired pairs back that I didn't even use. And if I didn't send 'em back, they were gonna charge me for it! Can you believe that? They charge for expired contacts! And why would they even want 'em back?

Look, I know this might not seem like a big deal to some people, but my vision is super important to me. I shouldn't have to worry about whether or not what I'm putting in my eye is gonna make me go blind or something. So, if you're thinking about using 1-800 Contacts, I'd say think again.

1-800 Contacts Disappointing Experience with 1-800 Contacts: Delayed Delivery and Poor Customer Service

I recently made a purchase from 1800 contacts, ordering a 6 month supply of contacts. The website clearly stated that my contacts and prescription were in stock and ready to ship the same day. I was thrilled to receive a notification just 30 minutes later that my contacts would be shipped out that day. I decided to pay an extra $20.00 to get them delivered the next day.

However, after waiting for 5 days, I still hadn't received my contacts. I decided to call customer service to inquire about the delay. To my surprise, I was informed that the contacts were 'out of stock' and that 1-800 contacts would receive them in 5-7 days. I was disappointed, but I decided to wait.

After the 5-7 days had passed, I contacted them again to check on the status of my order. This time, I was informed that the contacts were on back order and would not be available until the 25th. I explained to them that I would be out of town and needed the contacts before I left. Their response was, 'we can mail them to you'. I was skeptical about this, as I live in the mountains where there is no mailbox. However, I decided to trust them and gave them my vacation address.

Unfortunately, 1-800 contacts was unable to get the contacts to my home address. I was frustrated and disappointed with their service. I requested a full refund, but was told that it would take 30 days before I received it. This was unacceptable, as it didn't take 1-800 contacts 30 days to take my money.

Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience with 1-800 contacts. I will never do business with them again. If you are considering purchasing from them, I would suggest documenting everything on email and being prepared for delays and poor customer service.

1-800 Contacts My Disappointing Experience with 1-800 Contacts: Poor Customer Service and Wrong Order

I just wanted to share my experience with 1-800 Contacts. I recently placed an order for contacts so I could have them for my upcoming vacation. However, when my order arrived, I noticed that it was not what I had ordered. I received a different type of contact lens that I did not want or need.

When I contacted customer service, they accused me of not ordering what I wanted and refused to correct the mistake. I was shocked and frustrated because I had a confirmation email that clearly showed what I had ordered. To make matters worse, they tried to upsell me on the wrong contacts for a full year, which was not what I wanted.

To add insult to injury, they told me that the correct contacts would take two weeks to arrive, which was way too late for my vacation. I had ordered my contacts a month in advance to ensure that I had them in time, but now I was stuck without any contacts or forced to use the overpriced and low-quality contacts they sent me.

I have been wearing contacts for over 20 years, and I know the difference between good and bad quality contacts. The ones they sent me were garbage, and I was extremely disappointed.

To make matters worse, I now have to wait 2-4 weeks for a refund for items that I did not even purchase. It is unacceptable for a company to make a mistake and then try to blame the customer for it.

I have always admired 1-800 Contacts for their excellent customer service and quick response time. However, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. There is no excuse for this lack of customer service, and they need to do better.

1-800 Contacts Deceitful Practices: My Experience with 1-800 Contacts

I recently tried to purchase an annual supply of contacts from 1-800 Contacts, and let me tell you, there were so many red flags that I had to cancel my order.

First of all, they claim to price match, but it's not genuine. They'll take the highest price listed on a competitor's website before any discounts or promotions are applied. And get this, their method is to put the browser on private and then look at the price on the competitor's page. How absurd is that? They mislead you into thinking they'll price match, but in reality, they require you to create an entire account, write up your complete prescription, and then ultimately tell you that 1-800 Contacts offers a better deal.

But that's not all. As a first-time buyer, I was offered a 20% discount, a $70 rebate for an annual supply, and I had eye insurance that would give me a $150 credit for contacts. However, when I tried to use my insurance, they refused to offer the 20% discount and $70 rebate, stating that the savings were too high. Too high? They're still getting the $150 from my insurance! They'll file the claim and get paid, just not through me. It's clear that they're just trying to scam you every chance they get.

I highly recommend that you do not buy from this company. If they're deceitful with every aspect of their initial offers, then they'll be deceitful through every step of the process, including returns, discounts, and quality complaints. Save yourself the trouble and buy elsewhere.

1-800 Contacts 1-800-CONTACTS Review: Disappointing Service and Receiving Department Issues

I've been a customer of 1-800-CONTACTS for more than 5 years now, and I must say that they used to be an amazing company to do business with. However, I'm not sure what happened, but there are multiple issues regarding their Receiving Department. Somehow, they are claiming that I have only paid for 4 boxes of contact lenses in the last few years. Insane, right? They then claimed that I was shipped 12 FREE BOXES of contact lenses that were never paid for. What in the heck? How do you think I was given FREE lenses? As if a customer can just order free lenses? Sure.

What happened was TWO separate shipments were Expired Lenses, I mailed them back, and they sent me new lenses. TWICE. Then my prescription changed, and I called to order new lenses. I informed them that from the last few years, of moving around and finding old boxes, I had 9 Boxes of lenses to return, in an EVEN exchange of 9 boxes. I took a picture of all 9 BOXES and sent it to them, I mailed ALL 9 boxes back, and now they are saying that they only received 5 BOXES! WTF. You literally have a picture of what I mailed back, and you're still saying I didn't do it. Talk about the worst customer experience ever. Someone in YOUR RECEIVING DEPARTMENT is probably selling contacts on Craigslist (OR) Ebay, and you're just letting them do it. Because I wouldn't lie about how many stupid contact lens boxes I mailed back. I don't even have time to deal with this like I have been. Anyway, lost a very LOYAL and longtime customer. Customer #***. Not cool guys. Not cool.

I mean, seriously, what kind of company is this? I've been a loyal customer for years, and this is how they treat me? It's just not right. I'm so disappointed in their service. It's like they don't even care about their customers anymore. I don't know what's going on with their Receiving Department, but they need to get their act together. It's not fair to their customers to be treated this way.

I used to recommend 1-800-CONTACTS to all my friends and family, but now I wouldn't even think about it. I don't want anyone else to go through what I've been through. It's just not worth it. I'm so frustrated with this whole situation. I don't even know what to do anymore. All I know is that I won't be doing business with them again. It's just not worth the hassle.

In conclusion, I would not recommend 1-800-CONTACTS to anyone. Their service has gone downhill, and their Receiving Department is a mess. It's just not worth the headache. Save yourself the trouble and find another company to do business with. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

1-800 Contacts Disappointing Service and Lack of Communication from 1800contacts

So, I did my contact lens exam with 1800 contacts. It said I completed the exam but I got an email from a rep named Joshua who said (after I already expressly acknowledged to him that my prescription from my prior contacts exam had gotten way worse and even provided him my current glasses prescription to compare) that it was SO odd how my vision fluctuated, implied I was squinting for the exam to impress my eye doctor, and that I needed to retake the exam. Fine. I retook it. Got no response from Joshua or anyone for the matter.

I emailed Joshua and got no response. Whatever, I gave them leeway. Hey, maybe my scenario is SO foreign to them that they need 48 hours to examine my results instead of the "guaranteed" 24. Emailed Joshua again after 2 days--still no response. Called customer service the next morning (3rd day) just to be told that there's a note in my file that says the exam couldn't be completed.

Like BRO, Joshua, JUST TELL ME your company couldn't pull through so I can make plans to get my contacts prescription and lenses elsewhere. Why would you ghost a paying customer after having received 2 emails inquiring about your overdue guarantee? What a waste of time. And now I will not be able to see clearly for my law school graduation. Even a blanket statement of rejection would've sufficed. Instead, I was left waiting with 0 response that $#*! didn't work out, which was concluded internally 3 days ago, unbeknownst to me.

Thanks, 1800contacts, and thank you in particular, Joshua. Irresponsibility at its finest. I am so disappointed in the service I received from 1800contacts. I was really excited to use their service, but it turned out to be a complete waste of time. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and follow-up from their team was unacceptable.

I was left in the dark for days, waiting for a response that never came. It's frustrating to think that I could have been making other arrangements for my contact lenses during this time. And now, I won't be able to see clearly for my law school graduation, which is a huge disappointment.

I hope that 1800contacts can improve their customer service in the future. It's important to keep customers informed and up-to-date on their orders and appointments. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone based on my experience.

1-800 Contacts horrible

Thank god they didn't blame me for ordering the wrong item because I really didn't. So they said they would send the new contacts instead of the old ones. Ok, that was great. They said the contacts would arrive by Friday.
Friday. Friday evening. Nothing.
On Saturday I called them and asked what happened. So it turned out that they had never shipped the order. Promised to send again.
The week had passed. Nothing again. Same story from representatives and thousand apologies... But no real actions.
Requested the refund, if they are unable to send anything. They agreed, asked me to wait for 8-9 business days. We will see, I guess there will be the same story with the money...

1-800 Contacts give me my money back!!

I am never ordering anything from www.1800contacts.com ever again! I never received what I paid for and when I contacted customer service they said that they would check my case and promised to contact me back later. They never bothered to call or email me, so I asked them myself about the status of my order and they said that they need more time to resolve the issues. Issue was never resolved and these people did absolutely nothing to help me! Avoid them at all costs!

This is a reputable company, with fast, reliable service. I've used them numerous times in the past and will continue to use them when I can. (Currently, my only complaint is that they do not carry my prescription strength anymore...I've gone too blind!)

I've ordered online several times and my package has already arrived earlier than anticipated and has always been correct.
