1. Before contacting the supplier, I checked on the website Alibaba whether the supplier is a gold supplier.
2. After I confirmed on the website Alibaba that the supplier ZEPHYR CO LTD is a gold supplier I contacted the supplier and ordered 3 pieces of Bobcat 300.
3. The supplier said that he would deliver the equipment after payment. The supplier said it receives payments exclusively in Bitcoins.
4. Since the supplier ZEPHYR CO LTD is gold on site I had no doubt there would be problems with delivery.
5. When I paid the money, the seller contacted me and said that he had a delivery problem due to the COVID situation and that he could not deliver 3 Bobcat pieces to me, but that I had to pay him another 600USD and he would deliver 10 Bobcat pieces.
6. When I told him that I didn’t need 10 pieces of Bobcat devices and that I didn’t have an extra 600USD and that I wanted the supplier to refund my money the vendor told me he was not refunding the money. When I told him that his ad on your site says to return the money if the customer is not satisfied, he said that he will not return the money, but I have to pay him an additional 600USD.
7. When I told him I didn't have $ 600, he told me I had to pay customs duties. I told him that I would pay customs duties in my country and that I always do that when I order equipment. The supplier said that I have to pay customs in his country which makes no sense because I can only pay customs in my country. The supplier gave me a customs invoice from his country of 700USD. I contacted my lawyer and he told me that I am not allowed to pay customs in another country.
8. My friends contacted this seller after this scam and he always replied that the price for 3 pieces of Bobcat devices is 600USD + 250USD shipping costs. He always asked to be paid in Bitcoins and always said that there would be no problems with delivery and that there would be no problems with refunds if they were not satisfied with the delivery.
