Pick n Pay - Security guard service at the entrance of the store

24th june, I was trying to find a hand-basket at the entrance before entering the store because I was literally going to purchase a bottle of water and one other item, on 24th june 2020. Around 12-midday. The security-guard standing at the door, ready and armed with his bottle of hand-sanitiser, made an impatient hand indication to me toward the trolleys. I did not understand the gesture and what he said into his face-mask., so I approached him to ask what he was saying? He was talking into his face-mask and I literally could not define what he had said. I told him "I dont understand", and he repeated a "mumble" of words. And again I didn't catch what he said. Short story is/: what he was trying to tell me but didn't was that I must take a trolley for social distancing purpose. I understood it from another customer behind me. This was a customer service friction point for me - the security's foul attitude, and he could not care less that I couldn't hear what his instruction was. And then! As if the bottle of hand-sanitiser was a weapon, he squirted it hard not! Into my hand as I held my left palm, actually he squirted the spray onto my sleeve! I told him that he had the worst attitude, bordering rudeness, and that I would log a complaint, and he nonchalantly pointed me toward the customer service desk and said, "go there!" (to complain). Well now I was astounded. Perhaps he hates his job and was exasperated by my "ignorance", but I proceeded to ask for the store manager. She came along, and tried to explain about the store policy of using the trolley, which I told her at that point was not the issue. The issue was about the security guard and the service. She told me she would have a "discussion" with him and she seemed un-phased to a degree. Bad vibe. How often does this happen to unsuspecting customers anywhere, who just walk away. Thank you for your time in reading and consideration...
