When the government locked Queensland’s borders to interstate travellers due to Covid in 2021 we cancelled our package- flights and hotel reservation, and were told by wotif we would receive flight credits. The hotel refunded our money immediately but the virgin flights have been lost in cyberspace. Wotif and virgin airlines keep hand balling me to and fro saying the other party is in control of the credits. Wotif has now conceded that they have to manage the credits but after nearly two years of going around in circles they tell me I have until the end of the year to book and travel. The credits were visible in the wotif app when I first initiated the request but now they have disappeared and wotif have told me I have to pay $90 per ticket to reissue. This was never disclosed and I don’t believe we should have to pay $540 to fly return Adelaide to Queensland when we paid $900 for the tickets in the first place. The credits appeared in the app at first and I should have been able to just use them to cover the flights, but when the airline granted extensions to the credits ownership was lost . During covid lockdowns the airlines were all offering extensions without fees because the government wanted everyone to remain in their local area to stop the spread. My head is sore from banging it against this brick wall and I really really really need a holiday and totally regret booking through this dodgy agency… never again.

Desired outcome: Rebooking of flights without further charge besides flight cost difference due to different dates ie seasonal.
