I worked on a workaway site in Spain where the hostess grew her own marijuana... given to the youngsters... pushed non drinker 18yr olds into drinking before riding. and had a toxic waste topping on her menage... as well as taking rides out when drunk... also some girls were under 17yr
The hosts are not assessed.
I heard many awful tales of male, and some female hosts very badly treating
people from workaway.info... it is impossible to contact them or get a sensible
respose.

Myself and several other volunteers had a very bad experience in Peru with an organisation called Help Trujillo, run by Denis Jose Angeles Aguado. We have subsequently found warnings about this man and the NGOs he runs on other websites. All of us found out about his NGO through Workaway.com. It has become obvious he has been scamming volunteers for quite some time and Workaway should not be allowing him to create a profile. Some of the allegations against him are serious and he has been reported to police. This is unacceptable considering the number of staff Workaway have and their big multi-million turnover. They should vet projects more thoroughly. Beware when searching for hosts in Peru on Workaway as it could be him or one of his associates.
