Every business has unhappy customers, you can never please everyone no matter what you do! Why Pay A Lawyer is no different, I've known Dick many years we've worked on many cases together from foreclosures, BK etc. If Why Pay A Lawyer wasn't conforming to the laws required to operate a business in Arizona. He wouldn't be in business for as long as he has, further if the services he provides were not solving client problems he wouldn't be in business! Why Pay A Lawyer is a SELF HELP business that means the client MUST participate in resolving their issues.. Failure is likely if you don't activate your self in solving your legal issue! Especially in BK court those BK lawyers are bullies, they're not interested in helping you achieve the best outcome. Why do you suppose they seem so angry when they see D Berry prepared your documents. Who cares as long as BK packet is correct & complete. Its because they all make more $$ if you pay the high priced lawyer to execute your BK. The difference between a licensed Attorney & Why Pay A Lawyer, is the cost and you have no idea or control over the outcome you'll receive. Dick is busy it's hard to get his time/training and many interruptions when you do. Remember its a SELF HELP service...! The way I do it, I tell him what I need, I research the topic so I can ask meaningful question. Once he instructs me, I research more, once I feel prepared I go to work, if i don't feel ready I go see him again! To the guy who said he was hoodwinked by Dick.. The first rule of business is: Don't get involved in deals you don't understand" otherwise you could loose your shirt! Finally, I haven't met an attorney worth the money they charge, there a necessary evil in some cases!

I spent all the money I had on attorneys during my divorce, because of my attorney's mistakes, and after the retainers were gone, I was left high and dry. I would have lost my home, and not received back child support if it had not been for Mr. Berry. He gave me sound advice and accomplished what the firsts attorneys didn't. I believe he cared about the injustice that was occurring. I am a single mother with three children. Mr. Berry fought for me and my children. He was highly recommended to me, and I only regret I didn't find him sooner. Based on my experience, I have recommended him many times and will continue to do so. The only criminals are the attorneys that take your money, don't do their jobs, run up their fees, and want off your case when the retainer runs out. Mr. Berry was a god send to my family.

His wife is Jean and she is just as bad a person as he is. Why can't the State of Arizona stop them from the unauthorized practice of law? Why can't they figure out how to protect the citizens instead of caring more about politicians and sheriffs! Make a complaint to the State Bar and see if they do anything. Then inguire as to how many other complaints have been filed and ignored. Ask them when they plan on filing a TRO and putting a lock on the business doors. Why Pay a Lawyer has two offices now!

Berry is a lier, a cheat, a theif and a jerk. His last prison stint was NOT 25 years ago, it was in 1999. He has been convicted in several U.S. district courts in Utah and Arizona for which he served time in federal prison. He also served time in Arizona prisons. Sure there are bad lawyers - Berry was one of them. So why go to a former lawyer who was disbarred for fraud, found guilty of fraudulent schemes and other crimes in both federal and state courts and served time on several occasions in the big house? To save a couple hundred dollars and get ripped off anyway? Find a reputable lawyer or legal document preparer. Why take the risk?
